I would just like to write a review for Mr Chris Fenn at Spire hospital Leeds.. I have recently had breast augmentation after years of considering it and Mr Fenn and his team have been amazing! They are highly professional and Mr Fenn is certainly cares more about his patients than he does money. I would highly recommend you have a consultation with him if you are considering Brest augmentation. Updated on 20 Feb 2023: Starting to drop and fluff, couldn’t be happier with the results. So glad I made the decision to have the operation. Also happy with the size and shape choice. Mr Fenn has done an amazing job at giving me exactly what I asked for
I don't know where to begin, so apologies for the rants I'm only two days post op but like another review on here, I couldn't wait to share my experience with Mr Fenn especially as there are very little reviews for him. I decided to have labiaplasty surgery more than six years ago. But was advised to wait until I hit mid twenties until I made a final decision, as that when the vulva is fully developed. I've always had problems with both the appearance and comfort due to my enlarged labia, and I would say both count for having the procedures rather evenly. I got to the point where I was sick of 'tucking in' and re-adjusting myself in public. My labia always made me feel less feminine. After years of research and deciding to pay full price for the procedure (£2,900) rather than to risk a cheaper option, this year in June I chose Nuffield Hospital in Leeds for my consultation. The lead surgeon for this specific procedure was Mr Christopher Fenn. During my consultation I felt at ease right away as he mentioned the wedge method right away, and said I was actually a great candidate for this method as my labia had excess skin of about 3cm evenly on each side. During the consultation I was made to feel incredibly at ease and normal. He also ran through all the risks and advised I still go away and not to make a hasty decision. Three months later, I booked my surgery date for the first week in September, meaning I am now a couple of days post op. The whole day from start to finish was timed to perfection, and I was dealt with care and compassion by everyone, including the nurses, anaesthetist and even the assistant who took me up to the surgical ward. I was told the operation took about 1.5 hours and that everything went really well. It took me around 40 minutes to come round in a recovery room and then got taken back down to my private room (that was lovely) and was finally reunited with my partner. Unfortunately I made the mistake of drinking some coffee more or less right away, and was sick about 10 minutes after this. It's worth noting that during this whole time I could not feel any pain what so ever in my surgical area. (My surgeon did say there would be multiple numbing injections down below to help with recovery.) Another 30 minutes passed and I felt the need to use the bathroom (number one) which I was really dreading. I-managed to sit on the toilet and pee with no no pain at all. Went going to pat myself dry, my Vagina felt extremely puffy (like when you have had a dental numbing injection and your mouth feels all big. But I later Learned down there just 'felt' big because of the numbing agents and in fact wasn't at all) However, As I stood up again I did feel a lot nausea once again was sick another couple of times. I then got back onto the bed and rested there for a couple of hours completely pain free. As I had the option to stay over night as that was included in the price I paid, I actually felt incredibly better than I imagined and spoke to one of the nurses about going home. They said because i looked so well and was in such good spirits with good blood pressure that they were more than happy to let me to go. Anyway. Here's the exciting part. The nurse had to do a number of checks and papers before discharging me and I told her that I didn't know if I had any dressing on etc below because that when I went to the toilet, everything was too numb to tell. She gently asked my partner to leave the room a moment and she had a quick look underneath. She told me that it was just a pad I had on. I then said oh no is it really really big and puffy and swollen?! She said 'no hunny, it's a tiny bit swollen but I think the opposite to what you're expecting. It's so neat. Good for you.' I said to her, 'are you joking' she she said no. She encouraged me to have a look and I didn't want to so soon. But she said trust me you'll want to see. Anyway. I took my little mirror that was on my bedside table, and honestly couldn't believe it. 3 hours post op and I could already see the tucked-in vulva id always wanted. I couldn't believe the lack of blood and swelling considering the timeframe. Following this I decided to rest a little more taking us to the self evening before we decided to go home. I got changed really slowly and sat in the car with my bottom elevated to no pressure was down below. I had a quick bite to eat, passed urine again with no pain and went to sleep. The next morning (1day post op) I stayed in bed almost the full day. Icing 20 minutes on 20 minutes off. About lunchtime I could tell all numbing agents had gone as I began to feel a little throbbing, dull aching/ bruised sensation below. At most I would say a 5/10 for pain. I took one 500mg Panadol tablet every four hours, but I think the ice helped with the pain the most. I was also passing urine with no pain, continuing to rinse with warm water and using a hairdryer to dry the area to keep it dry at all times and the nurse said to strictly do. The next day (today) I woke up in much less pain and believe that is because I said with my bottom elevated in two pillows and I read to do on here to reduce swelling. Today I've not felt the need to take any painkillers at all. Just icing 20 mins off and on whenever . I've probably had about 5/6 spots of blood the whole time, nowhere near enough to fill a whole sanitary towel in the three days combined. And that's currently where I am at. I am sure my swelling may get worse and may not be as smooth sailing as it has been so far, but in terms of my experience based on my curry state of play, it is hands down the best decision I have ever made. I will keep everybody up to date with progress pics/ finally healed Updated on 8 Sep 2019: Before and after! Just 24 hours difference! Second 2 hours after surgery and third 24 hours after surgery Updated on 23 Sep 2019: Still bruised and feels bruised but no other soreness Updated on 23 Sep 2019: Bruised and feel bruised but no other pain apart from that Updated on 4 Oct 2019: So! The little knot of skin I was worried about was actually my new, tiny labia. At the time they were still swollen and appeared To be stuck together but now I have no swelling and yep, it was just my new bits! They are really small and only visible when I purposely look for them. Still nothing hangs down! I can’t believe it’s only four weeks weeks and I feel like I’m completely healed. Updated on 30 Oct 2019: Last update now. 2 months post op and fully healed. No words can explain how much more confident and clean I will. Before 30f (Usually 28d when normal weight 8.5st) After - 5 days post op Updated on 27 Jan 2019: I just wanted to write a review on here as when I was doing my research I could not find much/if anything about my surgeon! I am one week post op today and I just want to say how fabulous the whole experience has been. Mr.Fenn is lovely, he’s very professional while maintaining a paternalistic view. He will not be involved if he does not think it’s right, it took several consultations to finalise a date as Mr.Fenn wanted to make sure I understood the risks, the outcomes and to ensure he and I both knew what I wanted exactly. He listened to me exactly and despite being under the muscle pain has been minimal; pain relief for 2 days! I had my review the other day and he’s happy with them and I love them! I’d recommend him and Spire Leeds for the lovely staff to anyone! I’m happy to message anyone with my concerns regarding he procedure!
Hi everyone, have decided to write this review after really appreciating reading those of others! I have always felt self conscious of my small breasts and loved the fullness of them when i breast fed! Of course after breast feeding they were left pretty deflated and with more nipple than boob!! A close friend had this procedure last year and seeing the impact on her confidence and happiness with the results really inspired me to take the plunge ???? i have been very up and down since making that decision -sometimes dreading things going wrong, guilty about spending the money etc but other times feeling really excited! So i actually went ahead and did it and am typing this on my hospital bed! I am sore and tired but very happy with the care ive recieved and from what i can tell the results too! I had the anatomical 410 soft touch MM (medium profile and width i think!) Anatomical implant 12cm bwd to fit in my 13cm bwd breast - it was placed dual plane due to thin skin on my chest. The tape i have on is disoting them a little but my surgeon feels it hepls hold them in place whilst they settle. He said he was very pleased with how the operation went and the look and size of the implant. Apparently the next size up wouldnt have fit and the smaller size would have not filled the space as well. One of the nicest things is my nipples look much more like my pre breastfeeding days ???? obviously it is very early days (in fact day two!) So i know to expect lots of changes. I'll try to keep updating if other women seem to be finding my story helpful. Feeling quite sore but drains are out and pain meds are helping. Hope this review is useful and good luck to everyone else out there going through the same! Updated on 23 Oct 2016: Just a quick one of the girls in a sports bra - this one is a 34D which i got to allow for swelling and it fits snuggly. Just am update on recovery im finding the pain meds of paracetomol and codine good at taking the edge off - always a background feeling of discomfort and tenderness but very manageable. Sleeping a lot and drinking lots of water -just trying to take it easy and let my body heal. Updated on 25 Oct 2016: Updated on 25 Oct 2016: Updated on 26 Oct 2016: Hi there, laying on the sofa actually getting a bit bored of all this relaxing!! Stupid i know, spend my whole life racing about working and looking after the kids and finally have an excuse to stop and rest and i don't know what to do with myself!! Will find a good movie after writing this and relax and enjoy the break! So...ferling pretty good didn't wake up needing painkillers for the first time since surgery and ive got a date to have my dressings changed and this big sticker/strap thing taken off (can't wait for this -one, its really tight and itchy and two will finally get to see my new boobs fully!) Thought i'd post some more photos as i know seeing other women's journey through pictures has really hrlped me. Ease excuse the colour editting around the photos just trying to keep them as anonymous as possible. I'm so pleased with the results so far by the way - makes me smile everytime i look at them...can't really believe they're mine and here to stay!! ???? Updated on 26 Oct 2016: Updated on 29 Oct 2016: Quick update. Had dressings off today -incisions look a bit grizzly but nurse assured me that the bumpiness will go when the stitches dissolve and she was happy with my progress. One boob definately softer and 'dropped' more than the other -as the nurse said its two operations and each heals differently. Very pleased with how they are looking -just full and pretty and modest which was what i wanted :) very happy!!! Hope everyone else is doing well too especially all us october ladies!
