Dr Chung was great! The receptionist was nice and welcoming. Kim the patient coordinator is fantastic and very informative. I went to a few other doctors and Dr Chung was by far the best. Once I seen him he was very nice & informative. I went in for surgery which is in the clinic met w/ the other staff who were very nice and his wife assists on the procedure and she is very kind. I woke up about 45 mins after surgery and staff was still very helpful & informative. I had my first appointment and Dr Chung said they are healing great have another one in a few days. I highly recommend Dr Chung.
I wanted to have a flat stomach. Needed to improve me. Needed that jump start to getting the perfect body. My Experience with Dr Chung and his staff was Great. Looking Back now I should have got a BBL also. But oh well I'm Glad my stomach is getting Snatched. So far so good. Im only 2 weeks post op. Updated on 5 Jun 2015: So far so good. Still numb and swollen but feel much better. Updated on 15 Aug 2015: I am now 3 months post. I feel great. Still a little numb in some places but very little.
So far everything is going perfect, a little sore but I suppose to hace this because I just got my procedure at 9 am today...I am more than happy with my doctor , DR chung Oh Mi God I can't believe but I finally did it!! Everything was perfect and Dr Chung and his team couldn't do better, they are so compassionate and sweet!! It wasn't painful, just some kind of discomfort so far...I can't wait to see my body with our the patches and the garment compression that I still have , my procedure was today at 9 am...love Dr Chung and his wife, and Lisa, they are the best...,I will post pics of my progress later... Chung)
I was so nervous and unsure on an elective procedure like this, but after my consultation I knew I was going with Dr. Chung I wanted to look natural without going too big he helped me decide on the perfect size. On the day of surgery I was completely at ease the whole staff explains everything step by step and the visit the day after surgery eases any concerns you may have! I love my results
Day 1 post op- the pain is bearable with meds. I would highly recommend having extra help getting up from the couch, reaching for things etc. It feels exactly the way my doctor explained... As if I had just done a thousand push ups. Overall they look nice (I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product when they drop) Updated on 10 Apr 2015: Today I can get up from the couch alone & can reach for things that are close. Last night was the best so far, but this morning I woke up real sore. I'm concerned about taking TOO much medicine despite my PS saying that it's totally OK for me to. I'm trying to go 5 hours in between Percocet instead of 3. Ready for these things so hurt a little less! Updated on 10 Apr 2015: Still pretty swollen, but already a little better than yesterday. Updated on 11 Jun 2015: My breasts have settled a lot! They are longer high on my chest & dont have that weird slope they had in the beginning. I love them, but unfortunately I started getting stretch marks only a couple days past 1 month. (After they really started to drop) Luckily the marks are on the bottom side so they aren't noticeable to the outside world, but I'm not sure if that will last. My surgeon says this is common with people who haven't had children yet- womp womp! The scars are healing up nicely too! I experienced some tenderness in the cold and just soreness for the first month but it went away after that. Updated on 14 Jun 2015: Welp. one of my concerns when I was considering a BA was my activities & whether or not my boobs would hold up. Today I went tubing behind a boat. Just as the doctor said- they DID NOT POP. I was so worried! *juuuuuust in case anyone else has been worried about that
I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Chung and his staff, and I definitely cannot say enough good things about the outcome of my surgery! On the first inquiry phone call, Kim the patient care coordinator, made me instantly feel at ease and answered all my questions, even the questions I didn't think to ask! Dr. Chung made me feel comfortable, he listened to what outcome I wanted and what outcome I didn't want. I never felt pressured or rushed into making a decision. I was adamant about having the most natural look as possible. I wanted my body to be in proportion, I didn't want people to look at me and just see boobs! And now, 3 months later, I feel fantastic and they look fantastic!!! I feel very blessed to have found the right surgeon who listened to my needs and wants, and was also very honest about what is right for my body type. I am so happy with how I look!
I was a VS 36 C prior and after 2 kids lacked fullness. Dr Chung and I decided Naturelle 575cc silicone unders were the best option. So far so good as today was the surgery. They are swollen and sore but overall already look amazing. I can't wait for the final result once they heal and drop. Come on summer! Updated on 3 Mar 2015: So far so good. Still riding high but they are starting to drop a little. Starting to feel normal again. Updated on 19 Mar 2015: It has been 3 weeks since surgery. They have dropped a lot and have become MUCH softer and the pain is 99% gone.
I originally had implants done in 2004. I had saline above the muscle. Over time and 3 kids later they rippled terribly and were so saggy! I consulted with many doctors and Dr. Chung by far made me feel the most comfortable and was the only doctor that said I could get the surgery I wanted without the scars of a full breast lift. He made me fully aware of all my options and told me what would be best for me since I did not want those scars and we went with a doughnut lift under the muscle. I have never been so happy with my breast! They look amazing! I never thought I would be so happy with my breast! I am so glad I chose him! He has been there for me for every question I've had. He was always readily available! His staff is also so sweet and was also there for me to help me with any question or concern I had!! I can't say enough good things about all of them!!! If I had to do it all again I would always pick Dr. Chung hands down!!!
I cant say how happy I am after having breast augmentation! I had been a B cup but was very unhappy with my breast size. I know its normal to have one breast slightly smaller than the other but after having two beautiful daughters my breast were horribly uneven. It was embarrassing for me to even change in front of my (then) husband!! I finally decided to do something about it and did my research. After going to 4 different consultations I decided to get my procedure done by Dr. Chung. All I can say is that I have my confidence back and it feels great!!
I went to Dr. Chung after doing my research and comparisons to other plastic surgeons. I chose him because Dr. Chung is not only a well educated and experienced plastic surgeon who's Board Certified, but he his a very caring Dr. He listened to my concerns. He treated me like a valued person, that means a lot to me. I had a breast augmentation with lift, and a tummy tuck. I am 41 years old and have four kids. I had deflated "C" cups prior to surgery. I opted for saline "D" cups. What a difference! I'm so happy with Dr. Chung's work! They look perky, full, and youthful. My abdomen had a lot of loose skin and stretch marks. After my tummy tuck, I have almost no stretch marks on my abdomen, no loose skin, and he tightened my abdominal muscles. Although I do have the expected scars on my lower abdomen, and breasts from the lift, they have healed nicely and are fading. I would, without any hesitation, recommend Dr. Chung to my family and friends! I know I made the right decision choosing Dr. Chung, and his amazing staff! I hope you have the same, beautiful experience I did! Thank you Dr. Chung!
Dear Patient, I completely concur with answers already posted by other PS. One of the first concepts that I emphasize during a breast augmentation consultation is the fact that breast implants do one thing: they take your before breasts and make them larger. To expect any more is to be set up for a disappointment. And while postoperative messaging and exercises are helpful, they will not overcome preexisting differences. If after waiting 3-4 months, if the persistent differences are of enough concern, then some form of left breast reshaping (periareolar vs more extended mastopexy) can be done to obtain better shape symmetry. Best wishes.
Hi Traci I am often asked the same question by my patients or at times, many of my patients report an increase in weight during their one week follow up, despite having removed excess skin and fat (from liposuction). As you've referenced in your question, surgery is a physiologically traumatic event to your body, and it responds with an inflammatory response - one of which is retention of water. As tummy tuck and liposuction are not meant for weight loss, but rather for contouring and volume loss, I discourage my patients from checking their weights until 4-6 weeks have elapsed, at which point, many of my patients report a slight decrease in weight. And in return, if they do check their weight prior to that time period, I counsel them not to worry about it - as it is simply a "water" weight. Good luck with your recovery.
Hi Mia Often times, during my consultation, I emphasize the need to understand one very important concept involving liposuction. Many of my patients are surprised to find out that I stress the need to understand the consequences of volume reduction as it relates to SKIN, specifically, how will the skin adapt to the changes in volume - will it redrape smoothly and evenly or will it wrinkle and become loose? This relies on how good the skin was to begin with and how much fat was removed. And while many patients undergoing liposuction request,"Take it ALL OUT!" - over resection is the number one source of complaint post liposuction due to its effects on contour irregularity and skin wrinkling and laxity. And once it develops, it is a difficult problem to correct which may involve fat transfers vs skin resection and redraping. Banana roll region is a common source of your outcome, as many have shared with your experience. In summary, an improvement may be possible with skin resection with draping and/or fat transfer with touch up liposuction.
Laser liposuction is the use of laser (light energy) to melt the fat. As laser units have become more powerful, the risk of burning/blistering has increased, especially in thinned skin areas or with variance from technical guidelines. With that said, even with proper usage in accordance with guidelines and standards, blistering can occur due to thermal and/or mechanical injury to the skin. I've seen this even with traditional liposuction - which further emphasizes the importance of performing technically sound liposuction. Please remember, whether you have an ultrasonic liposuction or a laser liposuction - "liposuction" is still the key component, and not the energy source. Please follow up closely with your surgeon for proper management of your condition.
Liposuction is the removal of fat. In all forms of liposuction, the endpoint is the removal of unwanted subcutaneous fat - this is true irrespective of which "energy" source is used. In its simplest form: 1) Traditional liposuction uses the "muscle" of the surgeon, 2) Ultrasonic liposuction (including VASER) uses ultrasonic waves, 3) Power assisted liposuction (including Micro-Aire) uses electrical energy to move the cannula, and 4) Laser liposuction uses light energy. Of course, it is important to keep in mind, that technology is only as good as the technician - meaning, laser unit does not perform the surgery - the surgeon does. I always warn patients not to be "sold" on technology, as the operator still dictates much of the outcome. I have performed over 1000 liposuction cases in last several years, utilizing both laser and power assisted units. I hope my patients have trusted me as their surgeon because of who I am and my experience, and not because of my fancy tools. Please get to know your surgeon - you deserve it - it's your health.
