Mr Duncan is a fantastic surgeon. He is so easy to talk to and puts you at ease from day1. I am delighted with my facelift. I had no pain just a little discomfort at first but was back to work after 2 weeks. I would definitely recommend mr Duncan if you’re thinking about having a facelift. I’m 3 months down the line and my face has healed lovely. My scars are hardly noticeable and I feel amazing.
My experience from start to finish was perfect. Mr Dunkin was very clear with the whole surgery process, answering all my questions and reassuring the best options for my body. The operation was simple and quick recovery, all my nerves were put to ease by Mr Dunkin and the nurses. At my one year check up again everything was perfect, providing perfect results and exactly everything I was hoping to achieve from the operation. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to under go the surgery.
I had my surgery approximately a year ago now and it has been truly life changing. For as long as I can remember I have been figure conscious.. however after having my little boy via c section in October 2022, I became more unhappy and more conscious.. with a huge grey cloud over my head about feeling unhappy with my body. I was never motivated to go to the gym, feeling desperate and not confident And therefore was in a continous spiral. I met Mr Duncan in an initial consultation following recommendations and I immediately felt safe and reassured by his professionalism and the information he provided. I am pleased to say this didn't change and I had an excellent experience with Dr Duncan and also the whole team at woodlands surgery (infact the service i recieved there felt like a little treat and time to put my feet up). I had my surgery on 5th March 2024 and the whole experience was great. The aftercare was excellent.. i felt reassured and safe every step of the way and it was made clear that they were only a phone call away if I needed them. Dr Duncan fully informed me of the process and how after 2 weeks I'd feel better. I admit that it was more painful than I expected however, I had appropriate pain relief and after resting up for 2 weeks I started to feel better. I confess I don't like to be a person who lays in bed and takes it easy but I gave in and listened to advice. The results really speak for themselves however, I can only try to describe the change it has had on me as a person. I now go to the gym 3/4 times a week, feel more confident with my body, wear things i would have never worn before and finally had our holiday in September last year when I wasn't conscious of how I looked by the pool. I could just enjoy my time with my son and partner and also wore some dresses that I honestly felt great in. This has been life changing for me and looking back I am so glad that I did this. Since the surgery and given I now have more confidence in the gym etc, I have lost another stone since the surgery. Thank you Dr Duncan and also the team at woodlands. I am forever grateful and it has changed my life for the better. Truly life changing, if you are on the fence or considering a tummy tuck, do it.
I would highly recommend Chris Dunkin for anyone wanting breast enlargement. I am extremely happy with my results a year later. The whole process was stress free and I was informed of every stage. At my first consultation with Chris, I felt at ease and did not feel any pressure to go ahead and have the surgery done.
I went to Mr Dunkin for a breast uplift and implant reduction . My first implants had been in for 12 year and we’re no longer the size I wanted and we’re no long in position they had dropped a lot . I discussed the look I want with with mr Dunkin and he got that perfect . I’m so happy with the results, the scaring is minimal and the size is perfect. I’ve gone from a G cup to a D and they so much better for my size . I can’t recommend mr Dunkin enough he really put me at ease and the aftercare from Mr Dunkin and the nurses was amazing.
After reading great reviews on here I decided to go ahead and book a consultation with Mr Dunkin at the Woodlands Hospital. His confidence and expertise was evident throughout the process and my results really matched up to this. He made me feel comfortable throughout and really listened to what I wanted to achieve. The post-operative nurses were also amazing. They were available 24/7 for any worries or concerns I had after surgery and my recovery was painless and easy. I am now 4 months post op and so happy with my results. My scars are already healing well and the surgery has given me so much confidence. Being able to feel good and wear what I want is just the best thing ever! Honestly the best decision I ever made. I would highly recommend Mr Dunkin to anyone considering a mastopexy, he’s amazing!!
Dr Dunkin made my anxiety disappear, I chose my size I wanted and they seemed perfect for my height so I would feel more in proportion. After surgery I was fine and had enough pain relief. Recovery was perfect. One year on I’m absolutely Inlove with my new boobies, I went from an A cup to an E cup. They are super natural like tear drops and you wouldn’t even know they were fake. I’m so happy.
I recently had a thigh lift with Lipo and cannot fault the expertise and care I received. Mr Dunkin and the team at Woodlands are fantastic, second to none. From my first consultation Mr Dunkin I knew that I was in safe hands and he was the best surgeon for me. Aftercare is superb and available 24/7, even when Mr Dunkin is not on duty he was available. I followed Mr Dunkin’s advice post op and had no complications at all, no hard sell to buy costly garments or at home treatments, just practical advice on how to help my healing which worked wonders, based on his extensive experience and knowledge.
Excellent, I had been considering a breast reduction for many years and eventually plucked up the courage to do. I found the whole process easy, smooth and very professional. Mr Dunkin and his team were amazing, kind and caring. I am extremely pleased with the results, my only regret is I didn’t do this years ago!!!!
Following a breast reduction I had with Mr Dunkin in April 2024, I can confidently say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Mr Dunkin was so informative and made me feel so comfortable through the whole process. I am more than pleased with the results, it is amazing. Could not recommend enough. In total I had 2.5kg removed and have gone from a K cup down to around a E cup. Although it is a huge change to my body I luckily had no complications and no concerns, I was sore for a few weeks following but nothing unbearable at all. My scars are healing well and are become less visible each day. Thank you so much!
Hi Mitzie and thank you for your question. I’m sorry to hear you’re still having problems with your tummy tuck this far down the line. There are two ways to answer your question. The first is what you will want to hear, which is specific advice for you. The second is probably not what you want to hear but I hope it will be helpful to a wider audience reading this answer on Realself.Specific advice – from your description, it sounds like you may have developed a rectus sheath haematoma or a seroma after your operation. Rectus sheath haematoma is a small bleed that collects in the sheath that surrounds your tummy muscle. A seroma is a fluid collection (rather than blood) under the skin and fat causing a lump. You would expect both of these to have settled by now but they can grumble on. It is possible your rectus plication stitches have given way but this is pretty uncommon. The best advice I can give you is to go and see an experienced UK plastic surgeon who can examine you and help work out the problem and see what they can do to help.On a more general note - plastic surgery operations in general and tummy tuck in particular need good aftercare with experienced staff who know what they are doing. For this reason we only work at hospitals that offer good customer care and medical aftercare. With the best will in the world, this is very difficult to provide 1500 miles from home. We see people with problems after surgery abroad quite regularly and there is usually something we can do to help. Good luck.
Thanks for your question And for posting your photos. These show you have some prominence of the upper pole of both of your ears with subtle asymmetry. You have 3 options: 1. Leave them alone 2. Have the upper pole improved with a pinnaplasty using stitches to create a new fold 3. Alternatively you could try an Earfold. Your Plastic Surgeon will be able to show you the type of improvement you could expect in clinic beforehand. Good luck
Thank you for asking about post-operative garments. We stopped using them some years ago for a number of reasons - they are expensive, difficult to put on after surgery, uncomfortable and because our patients told us they didn’t wear them. Gentle compression and support after an operation is important, particularly if you have liposuction as part or the procedure. We recommend all our patients wear Lycra-rich sports kit as much as possible for 3 months after surgery. This helps your swelling settle down more quickly and gentle pressure on you scars can help scar maturation and leave you with better quality scars. (Tape support and scar massage with Bio oil can also help.) After abdominoplasty we suggest a Lycra sports top and shorts/leggings. After breast surgery wear a Lycra-rich sports bra. Our patients tell us the best ones zip up at the front. Ask your Plastic surgeon for their advice at your second pre-op visit so you have everything ready for the big day. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Thank you for your questions and posting your photos. The first thing you need to decide is what you are trying to achieve. If you just want a full cleavage when in clothes then wear an uplift bra (like your first image). If you want bigger breasts then consider implants. These will make your breasts bigger and fuller. If you like your current breast size then you could choose mastopexy to uplift and improve symmetry (your right breast looks a bit bigger with a bigger areola). But this leaves more obvious scars on the front of your breasts. Find a good local Plastic Surgeon and get some advice. Good luck.
I hope you have a nice result from your treatment. Done well, Botox enhances a face by soothing the lines we all get with busy lives. In answer to your question - there are a couple of reasons why you might want to go home and have a night off after your Botox treatment. The first is that exercise increases blood flow to your skin - that's why you look flushed after a workout. In theory the Botox could move away from the injection site and affect other muscles like the one that helps open your eyelids. This can make your eyelids look droopy. Occasionally people get bruising and swelling after Botox treatment and this could get worse on exercise. Some experts recommend using ice packs (or a bag of frozen peas) after treatment to avoid bruising and swelling. Others recommend actively moving treated muscles to improve binding of the toxin. However there is little evidence to show that any of these measures make much difference. Thankfully Botox usually produces a lovely result with only a small chance of problems.
