Dr Cook is amazing! My results are always excellent and he makes the process pain free. I highly recommend him for anyone wanting perfect injectables. I have been coming here for years and will continue to do so.
I had a quick lift procedure as well as upper and lower eyelid surgery at Pure Facial Plastic Surgery. I had severe sagging of my lower face, eyelids and my neck made me look much older than I am. I could not be more pleased in the difference it has made in my appearance and my confidence. The results are so subtle that many people have asked me if I lost weight. No one has any idea I had this done. It has taken years off the appearance of my face and neck area. No more sagging and jowls! Dr. Cook and his staff go out of their way to answer questions, return calls, and offer support. I felt right at home at this practice and never felt like I was being offered something I didn’t need or that was a mismatch for my goals. I did a lot of research before I chose Pure Facial Plastic Surgery and I am happy with the decision I made.
I had a great experience with Dr. Briggs Cook. I am very pleased with the results. I would recommend him to anyone! He will be the first person I call if I desire any other procedure. His assistant Tiffany was also great to work with.
Even though I am only 52, my eyelids were starting to droop. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Cook to get his recommendations. He was very professional and thorough. We decided on an upper eyelid lift. The procedure was painless and the bruising/swelling was minimal (I followed the post op directions carefully.) My family says I look ten years younger! Best decision ever!!!
I saw in the Herald Citizen newspaper the special that was running for Pure Facial Plastic Surgery & Medspa and was very interested in the Bellafill. I have been getting fillers for years and was looking for a new place to go. I did my research on the Bellafill and then I called to make an appointment for this and botox to be done. He was very professional and the injections were done in minutes. Within 2 days I had noticed that my left side of my face was not the same as the right side so I called to find out what they usually do about situations like this & talked to the nurse who said to make another appointment and Dr. Cook will look at my face. When I went back in Dr. Cook looked at my face and he agreed that one side was not the same, so he went and returned with more Bellafill to fix the problem and told me there would be no charge for that appointment. I was very relieved and my face looks wonderful!! Thanks so much to Dr. Cook and staff!!!
Dr. Cook and his staff were nothing but nice to me. I went there because I have not had a good experience with Botox since I moved back to the area 2 years ago. He went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. From a follow up text the next day to having me return to add more Botox because I have severe lines on my forehead. Because I am pretty picky and do not want to see the line at all he invited me back at no charge to insert a filler. Now that is how you treat a customer to make them want to keep coming back. I am so glad I found him and will continue to utilize his services.
I visited Dr. Cook for botox. It was a very quick and easy experience and I have had good results, He has the best pricing around and I would definitely recommend him for this service. Office is clean and staff is friendly.
Great experience! The entire staff was very professional, welcoming, and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Dr. Cook explained all options available. My outpatient surgery was done in his office with no pain or complications.
I had a remarkable experience with Pure Facial Plastic Surgery. The staff was friendly and courteous at all time. Stacey had so much knowledge on hair transplants and did not just try to sell me a procedure. Stacey made sure that we knew every step of the process by text messaging. She makes sure that the price of the surgery compares to your budget, and what you need pertaining to your type of hair lost.Youcan tell that she enjoy her job. Which most of the other hair transplant companies, I went to before did not. They have all the latest technology like the Artists robot for Hair transplant surgery and PRP, so the recovery is not as long . I was finish and ready to go after a few hours, for someone that always have a million things to do and can not wait a long recovery this was great.
I worked in front of the computer 8-12 hours a day, and by early afternoon, I found myself holding one of my eyelids open with my thumb and forefinger as I read, and often had a headache from eye fatigue and shoulder strain. A co-worker noticed and told me she had had eyelid surgery years prior with Dr. Briggs and how happy she was. Oddly enough, she and I are exactly the same age, yet she looked years younger than me. I asked a little about insurance, and recovery time, and made the call. A few weeks later, insurance approved the procedure and I was in on a Thursday and back to work fully on Monday. I could have even gone back earlier but I'm a little vain. Dr. Briggs Cook is a perfectionist and made a quick adjustment for me a few weeks later during my post exam. Headaches are gone. A friend of mine who hadn't seen me in a year said, "I don't know why, but you look 10 years younger. Whatever the reason, keep it up." If you have eyelids hanging down over your eyes and suffer the same fatigue and headaches, I highly recommend this procedure and Dr. Cook and his team.
Surgery to correct ptosis (drooping of the eyelid on the eye surface as opposed to excess eyelid skin) usually takes between 30-45 minutes for both sides. I prefer to do the surgery from an external (skin) approach as this is the best way to treat the most common type of ptosis. I also prefer to perform surgery in the office with minimal injectable anesthetic as this allows the patient to open and close their eyes during the procedure. If a patient is under general anesthesia or deep under anesthesia, it will be difficult to judge the eyelid position. This is critical during the procedure. Also, I would always consult a specialist in eyelid surgery for ptosis repair. There are many variables and nuances and, although it seems like an easy and quick procedure, there are many factors to consider.
As previously stated, keloids tend to form in areas where there is high wound tension, such as the torso and back. When a wound is closed, it is important to remove as much tension as possible from the skin edges to avoid keloids. As an oculoplastic specialist who performs many blepharoplasties, I have never seen keloids form on the upper eyelids. The key is to take all tension off of the skin edges when you close the wound. This is done with stitches underneath the skin and then one to gently close the edges. I am always happy to answer any other questions. Briggs Cook
The price for upper eyelid and lower eyelid blepharoplasty varies geographically and among practitioners. In my practice, the typical cost for a cosmetic upper eyelid blepharoplasty alone is roughly $2500. The cost for a cosmetic lower eyelid blepharoplasty alone is roughly $2500 as well. If you combined the two procedures, the cost would be roughly $3200. We have two operating rooms in our office and use light sedation (twilight anesthesia) which we do not charge extra for. Depending on the amount of skin, upper eyelid blepharoplasty can be covered by insurance and Eye and Facial Plastic surgeon can help determine whether the procedure would qualify for coverage. When I sit down with a patient prior to their upper eyelid surgery, I discuss the normal position and placement of the eyelid crease and placement and position after surgery. In women, I have found that the normal eyelid crease is usually located about 11 mm above the upper eyelid eyelashes (about 1/2 inch). I verify this by having the patient hold a mirror and look with them. At the time of surgery, the surgeon should use what is called a caliper to measure the distance of the eyelid crease and mark it in both upper eyelids. At the same time, I measure down from the lower edge of the eyebrow and mark out the top portion of the blepharoplasty incision. Although a different amount of skin may be removed at the time of surgery from each eyelid, what remains behind is the same amount of skin and the "new" eyelid crease is in the same position. The eyelid crease can migrate upwards over time. An experienced eye and facial plastic surgeon can advise you on what measures can be taken to correct a high eyelid crease. Briggs Cook, MD
