Checked my scar this morning before work, And hubby said “that looks worst”! Which made feel scared, and of course I started doubting.
Anyways, I’ll call my doctor later to ask a quick question. I just want it to heal nice and flat and is looking kind of raised up and bumpy. Here are today’s pictures

I had left Dr. Pryor a message on Wednesday and was told he would get back to me after surgery but haven’t heard back from him.
Anyways, yesterday I made sure I did not over eat to prevent belly from expanding as advised by doctor and because I am worried about it. I want to make sure it heals right. Specially because hubby saw it again and said he was mad at me, for fixing what didn’t need to be fixed Blah! Blah! Blah!
The truth is that his comment for whatever reason made me sad. I’m praying and waiting to my scar to heal nicely and flat . I didn’t see the way it was sewn, i saw it after I got home so I don’t know what to expect with this technique. Time will tell

Hello
Today is 1 week post scar revision. Everything is going well so far. Early this morning I received a call back from Dr. Pryor’s medical assistant, letting me know scar will be flat. I did feel relieved. No matter how many surgeries one has there’s always a question here and there. I just needed reassurance from MY doctor. I work with doctors but the thing to do is always to ask your OWN doctor if a question should arise.
In the past I have had multiple issues with dissolvable sutures ( not dissolving) and spitting out ( poking through the skin) messing up the scar. That’s why Dr. Pryor decided to use this kind of suture, which requires removal.
Here I will include pictures of incision site for the last 3 days.

I have developed a cold which triggered my asthma and now have horrible coughing spells. I push in & hold my belly before I start coughing to prevent my incision from expanding and opening Not even prescribed cough syrup works.
I’ve noticed some red dots and I’m not sure if is from the ointment or just normal healing. Hmm! I’ll wait to see how it looks tomorrow. I took a shower and just rinsed the area with plain water and I’m letting it air out without no Neosporin.

My incision was healing well until some redness and bumps started showing. I Was concerned about the red bumps and decided to apply some bacitracin ointment ( stronger than neosporin). I really should call my doctor but I don’t want to bother him on the weekend. I cleaned the incision site with betadine, then I applied the bacitracin ointment and covered it again with a big bandaid.
Hopefully it will loook better the next day.
I hope the bumps do leave scarring.
I wonder if the stitches have been on too long and that’s why the skin is reacting that way. Anyways, if you notice the incision looks flatter then at the beginning.

I am so happy to have sutures removed. Site looking kind of rough there in my opinion.
Dr. Pryor said I might have had a reaction to the sutures.
As soon as I got home In the evening, I cleaned the area, applied neosporin and covered the site with a bandage in hopes the redness goes down.
We discussed I would start biocorneum scar therapy/ Silicone strips and massage to the area After 1 week . At this time skin should be closed up and no scans present.
When the irritation goes down the incision site will look much better

Dr. Pryor mentioned I might have had a reaction to the Sutures . After 1 week I will start biocorneum / silicons tape and massage the area to aid healing.

Last night I tried to upload pictures twice without success. Let’s try again. I added mini video of Tuesday 12/4/18 ( morning after Suture Removal. Please see previous post (yesterday.)
We’ll monitor the next few days ....
I’m unable to upload- 1st it was because I needed a minimum of 200 words and now it won’t upload pictures and I don’t know why. What a pain

My sutures were removed on Monday. I applied neosporin again today and covered the incision. It will get better as the days go by.
Patience is very crucial and is not one of my virtues.

After monitoring the scar I noticed a spot was starting to feel hard no matter the massages. Dr. Pryor and had discussed this possibility and he had advised me to monitor and call right away if I noticed scarring. I called and was given an appointment for February 8.
After checking the scar Dr. Pryor proceeded to inject scar with cortisone and given another appointment for 6 weeks 3/22/2019. I l really appreciate the open communication and proactive manner of my doctor. Some professionals after they have your money, you are no longer a priority and follow ups for minor stuff is a nuisance for them.
I will definitely choose him for other procedures. And recommend him to others.
Since he took a little bit longer than usual I decided to check out the implant size, and guess what? He decides to come in then haha!
