This review is so overdue and I should have done this sooner. Dr. Brian Brantner, in my opinion did a FANTASTIC job on my breast. Every mammogram that I have had done and anyone who has seen my breast up close ALL tell me, "Your breast are the best I have ever seen, they look so real." Just the other day my nurse told me if you don't say anything no one would know. He was a referral to me from another gal who had her breast done and they looked wonderful and so do mine. I found this site because I am looking for another procedure. I loved the surgery from Dr. Brantner.
I am 60 and had class 3 cellulite, the worse. My behind looked like an elephant. I am not significantly overweight. The cellulaze improved it a marked degree. it was not terribly painful. There was bruising and tenderness for a few weeks, then itching during healing for about 2 months. Now it in the acceptable range.
Ever since I was a kid I realized my nose was not cute at all. It didnt look bad when I was really little but once puberty hit it grew and morphed along with the rest of me! Its long, wide, has a bump and to me always looked like a witch nose =O I think the boys that knew me in school would agree because in school I wasnt one of the best looking girls on campus. Growing up some friends and family used to make fun of me and my nose and called me 'beaker'.... I would laugh it off but it did hurt me..they made me remember that I was not beautiful and as teen that was hard! Thankfully it stopped when I was an adult but that still haunts me. I didnt ask to look the way I did-who would!? I just dealt with it, grew up and just figured thats how I was made so I should get over it! I even took up boxing and wasnt worried much if my nose was broke because I figured that would seriously push me to fix it! Well my nose was never broken -maybe slightly damaged but not broke. I think about continuing fighting but dont want to walk around like this until Im completly done with the sport. Ive had people say to me oh is your nose like that from boxing?? Or your nose dont look to bad for being a boxer! Weird thing is I was born this way! LOL Now Im ready to make a change! I dont think I should have to accept my nose anymore if I dont like it. Been thinking about it on and off since I was in my 20's. Im 34 now almost 35 and I think its time for me to improve my appearance for me! My little sister who is 24 just had a nose job done due to a deviated septum. While she was under she also had theDr reshape her nose. I have to say I never thought there was anything wrong with her..heck it didnt look like mine so to me it was fine! LOL She is 5 months post op and looks even more beautiful then she did before! WOW! My sis is not happy with her Dr because of her experience and his bedside manner but his work is excellent! My sis had no choice in her surgeon because the insurance covered most of it but did say she wouldve gone to a different Dr if she had been allowed the choice. Seeing her results has motivated me even more! I got a consultation in June 2012 with a board certified plastic surgeon (one my sis referred me to) and feel very comfortable with him. He was very nice, seemed very knowledgeable and explained the entire procedure to me. He quoted me $5150 (not bad I thought it would be more) and he's ready when I am. I wouldve done it by now but Im going on a one week vacation this month to see my other lil sis graduate from bootcamp and didnt want to get it done and be swollen for the ceremony or worse have some unexpected issues and not be able to go. So Im trying to figure out when to schedule it. I found this site and its helped me alot. I see pics of people with noses similar to mine and they look great..this also motivates me. I am a little scared though..I really dont want to tell my co-workers anything but not sure Ill be able to hide the change! I just hope Im not crazy! Updated on 10 Sep 2012: Ok, date is set and on Friday the 14th is my pre op appointment. I will make my final payment and do my bloodwork and we're all set. Im nervous about the surgery! I think Im more afraid of returning to work one week after surgery..I know my surgery will be very visible! Everyone will see the difference... but oh well. Im ready for this change! Updated on 10 Sep 2012: Added a couple more pics for you to see. The next ones will be my after pics! Updated on 27 Sep 2012: September 27th is here! I did it at 8:00 am. I'm home relaxing and recovering. I have a pretty bad headache and can see a shiner coming on (I don't mind it it's not my first!) I'm a little queasy but doing ok. I'll keep you updated... Updated on 1 Oct 2012: 10/1/12 Day 5 I had my surgery 9/27/12. The first few days have sucked but I have just been resting and getting plenty of fluids. Ive had alot of dull aching pain in my head and lots of swelling! I look like a chipmunk with blackeyes. Today is a better day. I slept only half of the day vs all day! I had a unexpected visitor come by (someone I didnt tell I was going my nose) and she was very surprised to see me this way. The first words out of her mouth were 'there was nothing wrong with your nose!?' REALLY?? I dont know if she was being nice or just trying to knock me down? My response to her was I never liked my nose and have always wanted it fixed and I did! That ended the conversation pretty quick. People who dont have this issue just dont understand! I dont care anymore what anyone thinks. I did this for me. Updated on 4 Oct 2012: 10/4/12 I will have my splint removed tomorrow! I cannot wait!!! Im so ready to get this thing off. Today is another great day for me. Im feeling almost 100% recovered...but for the black eyes! I hope they're much more faded by Monday! =o Updated on 19 Nov 2012: I'm almost 8 weeks post op! In very satisfied with my nose especially my profile. It's an amazing change for me. I'm glad I did it and wish I would've done it sooner. Updated on 4 Dec 2013: I'm satisfied with my results and love my new nose!
Before I tell the story and how it came about having four surgeries on my left breasts, due to one botched area after another after each surgery to correct the botched surgery before the next one. I felt so hurt, and defeated when I said to Dr. Bratner my left breasts looks like the Bride of Frankenstein. I had major ripples in the cleavage area of left breast and a slight amount on my right breast, , and a double bubble keloid scar with the scar running right across half of my left breast. I said to the Dr. can you please recommend me to a SPECIALIST to correct his disfigurement...he just had a slight smile on the corner of his mouth and he said NO I CANNOT. That hurt so bad, that he would not go the distance to at least care enough for a patient who paid 5 times for one breast, to at least say, I will look around and see who I can find. Had he cared I would have felt so much better and accepted the fact I took a chance by having this surgery and blamed myself. When he could care less it felt like he was sooo glad to get rid of me. I'm an easy going person. Did not sweat each surgery and kept a positive attitude for both the Dr.Bratner and myself. Updated on 19 Feb 2015: I plan on having a revision with photos before and after this time now that I have a reason to do because of this site. It will be less then a year, I have asked Several times has anyone here heard of Dr. Dubrow as I have heard he is a well know breast revision Specialist Dr. Of course he does other procedure. Dr. Nasiff if is a revision special list for rhinoplasy and I have seen in on many programs performing rhinoplasty revision. I will as for the third time ask this site or any other ladies who know Dr. Dubrow for a breast revision or their thoughts on these two Doctors. Perhaps the team can share their opinions on these two Doctors. It would be helpful as I'm searching and so want to have plenty shots of my nose before and after along with my breasts. Any knowledge you know about these Doctors would be very helpful Any feed back would help so much since no one address my question after asking third time. It is becoming closer to my decision done the road. Thank you for having a site like this. I wish it were around 20 years ago..I would for lack of a better word be botched or deformed. My last shot so please if you will give me feed back on the doctors in question. I would be very grateful.
I think the risk of nipple loss is relatively small but nonexistant. The risk of your incisions healing poorly or coming apart to some degree with possible tissue loss is much greater. Either put in smaller implants such as 300 mL or stage the procedure. Save yourself and your surgeon the grief of dealing with a serious complication. Why risk 2-3 months of healing and a compromised result?
The answer is 5000 mL or 5L. Beyond that you could have enough blood loss to create problems. Large volume liposuction should be done in a hospital setting but even then, is a cosmetic procedure thst may require a blood transfusion really cosmetic?
It sounds as if this is probably from some type of activity that has caused sensitivity of a sensory nerve because the pain radiates to the nipple. That can happen from physical activity such as lifting weights or something as simple as working in the back yard. Most of the time it is difficult to determine what event was the cause. Treatment consists of using NSAIDS such as motrin (Advil), etc. Generally, things will improve over 2-3 weeks and resolve completely thereafter. Without any other changes, pain by itself is annoying but frequently harmless and slowly improves with time. It is also possible that something else such as a capsular contacture could be starting but you would eventually determine that if the breast starts to become firm. Occasionally, the capsule around the implant will tear or shear away from the part of the capsule that is adherent to the rib cage with activity. This can produce symptoms such as yours and in some cases can cause bleeding around the implants and later capsular contracture. Without any signs of infection, it should be reasonable to treat yourself symptomatically with an analgesic of your choice...Advil, Tylenol, Aleve, etc. Hope this helps.
