I know it wasn’t absolutely necessary and many would argue it wasn’t at all needed! But at 52 years old, still maintaining good healthy skin elasticity, I decided to take the plunge and be proactive with my journey in aging. As we age things certainly do not typically get better.. so with that knowledge, I realized it is best to go for it now rather than wait. I did my research. I chose the best. Hands down, the choice was to see Dr. Brent Koch at Kochs Facial Plastic Surgery.

I’m not gonna lie the days after procedure were very uncomfortable. I had a full 48 hours of nausea. And oh my.. the swelling! Ice packs helped but be prepared to not recognize yourself for QUITE awhile. I was prescribed a Medrol pack to help, which did. At my follow up visit, my sutures we’re treated with a gentle ultrasound treatment to assist in expediting the healing process. Though I have been very sick in recovering.. wow! I can already see that my neck is flawless!

Went back in for a quick 2nd check with Dr. Koch. I have tremendous confidence in him but I mentioned that I was a little worried that the stitches placed near my temple above my left ear -that it may be pulling on my eyelid?? He reassured me that everything appeared perfectly normal and all was healing exactly as it should be. He then injected a tiny amount of cortisone to the incision site near my left temple to help to reduce the swelling for that area. As promised, it helped:) Whew! Between 2nd and 3rd week I am dramatically feeling and looking better!!
