I had lower blepharoplasty done in June of 2023. The entire journey of the surgery with Dr. Robertson and Belcara Health was amazing and so easy. Dr. Robertson is professional but also personal with a great bedside manner which is hard to find in some doctors these days. The entire team made me feel comfortable during the whole process--from the pre-op, the IV treatments, surgery day and after. I would HIGHLY recommend lower blepharoplasty. I feel more confident in myself and am beyond happy I actually went through with it. I had thought about it for years, and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner! If you are thinking about it--do it!
I had a facelift with Dr Robertson 1 year ago! It was absolutely the best thing I ever did for myself! He gave me the most natural look that even my closest friends and family members (whom I never told)! comment on how beautiful my skin texture is! My main concern was that I would look too tight like so many other facelift patients! But Dr Robertson gave me such a subtle but effective lift, and it just looks so natural! Before going to him. I read his reviews, and I asked some of the best aestheticians in the area for a plastic surgeon recommendation and time and time again Dr Robertson‘s name came up. I had a complimentary consultation with Dr Robertson with my daughter present )as I knew she would ask questions that I wouldn’t think of! ) My daughter and I both went into the consultation thinking I would not have it because I was afraid that it would look too “alien”! He spent 45 minutes to an hour with us, answering our questions, addressing our concerns that when we left we felt that we were in the very best of hands with Dr Robertson and scheduled the procedure Dr Robertson and his staff were excellent and attentive before ,during and after the surgery! They took my phone calls when I started to hesitate and answered all my concerns prior to my surgery! The day of surgery he was by my side when I went out and when I woke up! He was like an artist as he was preparing my face for my surgery looking at every detail! During recovery, he was a phone call or a text away! Holding my hand through every step of the recovery process! It is my pleasure to write this review As my experience with Dr Robertson and his staff was definitely 5 star worthy! If you are thinking about a facelift, don’t hesitate as you will be in the best and most caring hands of Dr Robertson!! He is just the BEST in his feild!! I am forever grateful
Dr. Robertson is a highly skilled, wonderful physician and a caring and compassionate person. I had a facelift done and am extremely happy with my result. I could not give him a higher recommendation!
Dr. Robertson absolutely exceeded all my expectations for lower facelift. He gave out his cell # and was incredibly professional and caring. Would recommend him without reservation. Will have her m don’t any future procedures without question.
I felt that I had jowls and my neck was sagging. I was very hesitant to have the procedure because this was my face. I went to see Dr. Robertson and told him that I wanted a natural look. He reassured me and answered all of my concerns. My results were unbelievable. I have been told by doctors that it was an awesome result. Most people could not tell I had had a facelift. I basically had no pain, just discomfort. I look younger, refreshed and happier. Dr. Robertson and the staff at Belcara Health were very caring and very professional. I would recommend them highly. Dr. Robertson is excellent!
I wanted to do an early review. Dr. Robertson and the Belcara Health staff have been so kind and attentive. I have been pretty nervous about having surgery on my face and they have given me topnotch support. From the consultation, pre operative visits to the personal phone calls from Dr. Robertson checking up on me. This facility is beautiful! Updated on 4 Mar 2016: I'm so happy I did this for myself. Dr. Robertson did an amazing job and I am very pleased with my results. Thank you Dr. Robertson for getting me back on track. I feel so much better about my appearance. Can't say enough about the doctor and staff. Very pleased.
Today is the day for my surgery. I have been waiting for a while to do this for ME. Don't feel guilty, ladies. Especially if you are a mother who's body was transformed my having children. Spend a lot of time with your sizers. The longer you walk around with them like they are part of your body, they tend to start looking smaller. I went to a board certified plastic surgeon with a smaller practice who let me take multiple sizes home with me. I bought a larger bra that I was shooting to fill, and spent a lot of time wearing them to help my husband and I decide what size was best. He didn't want me to be "too big". But the longer I had the sizers in and wore clothes with them, the bigger he wanted me to go. Take your measurements with the sizers in with a non-padded bra and compare with your waist and hip measurements. It will help you realize "your not going too big". I'm petite, 5'2" and weigh 119. No your measurements ladies because that is an important factor in choosing the right type of implant. Ask your PS the measurements he took during the consult. Pull the implant size chart from the manufacturers website to see the width differences and projection differences. I will be sharing my journey with all of you. My current bra size is a 34a. A BEFORE photo is showing and I will post photos as my journey unfolds. I will share my ups and downs so that it may help one of you make the best decisions for size for your own body Updated on 24 Apr 2015: I survived. Less pain than 2 csections for sure. The worst was me getting sick from the anesthesia. I stopped the pain pills because the pain is more like aches from a sports injury. As far as sleeping, invest in a bed wedge to incline your body. Best $40.00 spent. Sore but palatable. So glad I took my time and had the sizers at home a week to choose my size. They look perfect for my body. Ladies, don't get fixated on the cc's. Each of our bodies look different and also our widths for the pocket fir the plant. The nurse during my check in asked what size I was going with and she said "wow, that is big". But my PS is very conservative. I was no where near the maximum he would allow me to go. Ask these questions with you PS. I didn't wants boobs to look like torpedoes sticking out so I went within profile as my body looked more "natural" with these. High profile have a smaller diameter and a larger projection. I will keep posting updates as I go along. Updated on 25 Apr 2015: Took a shower for the first time today. When I took the bra off it felt so weird. The PS did a wonderful job. No bruising at all. Even with them riding high, they still look pretty. My husband was shocked on how good they look just after surgery. Don't take the pain meds if you really don't need them. I feel better each day because I am moving around. Don't be a couch potato. Your recovery will be longer. I'm really happy with the size that I chose. Again, I spent 2 weeks with sizers. Longer I spent with them in a bra and with clothes on , the more they became small. You can still look natural by giving yourself perfect measurements with your waist and hips. Glad of the mid profile and wider base for my body. Updated on 25 Apr 2015: Updated on 26 Apr 2015: I've not taken any pain pills since day 1. My breast are now getting the hot sensations, tingling from the nerves, and at times pain. It comes in waves. It's been tolerable but sleeping elevated is taking a toll on my back. A heating pad has helped with the back pain. My advice for the first 48 hours, ice as your doctor recommends religiously. I think that's a key in this healing process. My hubby placed a small cooler with ice and 2 bags of peas for me to access easily during the night. When I went to the bathroom, I switched them out for frozen ones in my freezer downstairs. Every time I woke through the night, the frozen pea packs were put on for 20 minutes. A few times I fell back to sleep with them on. Oops! I will post updated photos later today. Every day it's a little better. I hope my journey will help you have a better experience with your own. My doctor has me in a special bra with a Velcro strap on top to keep my breast secure 24/7. Updated on 26 Apr 2015: Here are dome updated photos. Updated on 27 Apr 2015: Went back to work today. Everyone at work knew I was having the procedure. Comments today were "tastefully done". Obviously, this is how my new implants have been perceived in clothing. I wanted it noticeable but not in your face noticeable. As large as I went, it was right for my body. Very tired after working 8 hours. I will post photos in a couple hours. Updated on 28 Apr 2015: Updated on 2 May 2015: Still restricted to a special bra for 2 more weeks but wanted to try a swimsuit top on. First time in my life I am wearing a top without padding. Wish I would have done this 10 years ago! Updated on 10 May 2015: Slowly dropping. My Doctor still has me in the compression bra for another week. Took it off to try a swimsuit on. Loving my new look???? Updated on 26 May 2015: Absolute no regrets with my 533cc size. I love them! Updated on 8 Jun 2015: Ladies. Go bigger than you expect yo go. You won't regret it!
What you describe over is volume loss in your face not premature face/neck laxity. Laxity is managed with a lift and volume loss is managed with volume replacement. As individuals age they most often need a combination of both techniques; however at your age you most likely just need properly place volume, and with this, the emphasis is on proper placement. Although your posted image is shadowed, it appears you would benefit from volume replacement not in the nasolabial fold, but rather over the malar eminence and along the zygomatic arch. In so doing, this will not only volumize the areas of concern, but also give some lift, which will improve the nasolabial fold. Remember, the progressive deepening of this fold is not due to a loss of volume in the fold, but rather the loss of volume over the cheek and resulting deflation/collapse of the cheek tissues. Now what filler to use? There are pros and cons to all, but I would start simple and use something reversible. For this area Voluma is a good option. If you like this effect, then as it resolves you can then consider switching to your own fat. Your own fat is tricky, but in the proper hands gives a pleasing and long lasting result. Finally, please take the time to research this and find an experienced board certified plastic or facial plastic surgeon in your area. Good luck!
At 60 your skin elasticity is such that you would be best served to consider a face/neck lift. You should consult with either a board certified plastic or facial plastic surgeon in your are.
I would advise you wait until your blepharoplasty is well healed (3-4 months) before considering this. They are your eyes, and as you know styles change, be conservative.
Your photo shows some degree of brow asymmetry and a downward slope of your medial brow. This is commonly associated with hyperactivity of the glabellar muscles (frown muscles between the brows). I would suggest you first start with Botox injections of the area. This is often times all that is needed to balance the asymmetry and give a little inner lift to the brows. This is your least invasive and least expensive approach. The one downside is, if you like the effect from Botox, it is temporary and will need to be repeated every 3-4 months.
An anterior direct excision of the redundant skin and fat under the chin is an out dated procedure, leaves a very unacceptable scar and should be held in reserved for patients with unusual medical circumstances. Today there are excellent surgical options where the concerning excess fat can be sculpted, muscles tightened and redundant skin redraped with well concealed scars. In the Atlanta area there are excellent plastic and facial plastic surgeons capable of helping you with this.
