Bella Avanessian, MD

Dr. Avanessian is a very talented surgeon, and she is a sweet and compassionate person. I had SRS/GCS (PI with tunica graft) with her at the beginning of April 2021 at Mt. Sinai in NY. I'm still early in the healing phase, but so far I'm extremely pleased with the aesthetics of the results (this was the most important thing to me). Her results seem pretty consistent, so if you can find some post-op pics on Reddit/google or the ones that Dr. Avanessian will show you during your consult, you have a pretty good idea of what you can expect.

I don't have any trouble controlling my urination, but when I do urinate it tends to be more of a spray than a stream. I believe this may resolve on its own when the swelling comes down and things settle more, but if not I will reach out for the minor revision.

My insurance (commercial Aetna) was taken care of by the staff in Dr. Avanessian's office. This was a huge relief, and it was part of the reason I chose Dr. Avanessian over Dr. McGinn. Some days the office is running a bit behind, which is not that uncommon anymore in healthcare. Bring a book or something to do on your phone. The staff are really nice and professional. The nurses were super nice during the few days stay in the hospital after the surgery.

Bella was an absolutely fantastic choice for my vaginoplasty! I got very natural looking results and have healed up very nicely. She and her staff patiently answered all my questions at every visit and never made me feel rushed. I had several issues with my CTMS appointments and post-op hospital stay, but nothing that had anything to do with her. The best part was that her staff took care of getting preauthorization from my insurance without me needing to do anything. I just handed off my card and that was it!

Well hello everyone In writing this review to help others in this site I had a ffs with Bella avanessian at mount Sinai k was scheduled to see jess ting but he is sooo booked up that told me to see bella that she’s been in the transgender program and she is really good I’m 10 days post op and super swollen still I had Chin , jaw contouring , open nose , and brow and forehead shave . All I can say so far is that she’s been so amazing I can’t say much about my outcome yet because I’m swollen but I’ll keep you guys updated

So happy with the results so war next update in 4 weeks so happy natural results no complaints just what I’ve asked for , only thing is always wait a lot On follow up but other than just fabulous......................,

Still numb on some areas but so far happy so far with the results also still swollen I will post another review when it hits the 3 month Bella is amazing no complications very smooth Im back to my normal life pretty much I’ look very natural wich is what I wanted

Hey guys year update very happy with the results except my nose I love everything but my nose but yea. Tottaly happy fillers and Botox always help Dr Bella is really good at what she does but you also needs to be specific on what you want and need Always go for a natural result won’t be disappointed

A reasonably decent surgeon but her staff is garbage. Coordinating my surgery was an absolute nightmare. As for post surgical care, once Bella got the insurance filed, she was DONE! No follow-up. Calls go to some on call doc and emails go completely unanswered for weeks! Not worth it. Do your research!

Here I am 4 years later, and I still look the exact same as I did before my ffs in 2021 I must admit she had fucked up my hairline to the point my hair and grow back. I see no work that she did on my face. My insecurities are at a all-time high because of this surgery that she botch me with now im having a hard time to find someone else to do it I would not recommend anyone to go Bella especially black Ts girls she don’t know how to make us look correct my dysphoria is at an all-time high
