While I have always been a confident woman, I had always contemplated breast augmentation because I wanted more fullness at the bottom of my breasts. I asked a friend who I knew had done the procedure for her doctor's name, and quickly went in for a consultation. I met my doctor, instantly clicked and was happy to schedule my surgery with him. He was realistic with me about the results I could achieve and listened to my goals as well. I decided to keep a blog the entire time through the procedure as well, and highly recommend it for anyone considering any cosmetic procedure. I scheduled my surgery, and before I knew it, a nurse was starting my IV and then I was waking up with boobs. The first few days were difficult, though I was able to walk around by myself. Getting used to the new upper body took some time, and you must follow your doctor's instructions carefully. In the end, I highly recommend breast augmentation as long as you are doing it for the right reasons and have realistic expectations. There is no such thing as perfection, but most doctors will tell you there will be definite improvement.
I had a rhinoplasty with Dr. Schwartz 10 years ago. I have never been happy with the result. My dorsal hump was filed down decently however too much cartilage was removed, my nostril collapsed and is uneven. I have two different side profile, one straight, one with a poly beak deformity. No refinement of the tip was done. I regret not going to rhinoplasty specialist as I think this practice focuses more on the body. After 10 years, I have finally worked up the courage for a revision.
Lift/Augm. I brought photos to appts to show what I wanted. Unhappy. My implants are sitting too high, leaving the bottom of breasts empty, different in size and flat. I disguise this with padded bra. Seen 3 docs for fix-all say implants too high. Schwartz wants 8,500 for fix+ implants. Saving for fix:(
I am all booked for my BA on Nov. 8th!! I cant believe it!! Some days I am so excited, some days I feel like I should cancel & some days I just don't think about it...almost like its not real!! What an emotional roller coaster!! This site has helped me so much!! I have learned a lot & I have a better idea of what to expect with the recovery etc... I am 33, 122lbs, 5'5" & a mother of 2. After breastfeeding I am totally deflated, not that I had much more than a handful to begin with!! But now I am SO flat! When I go to the gym I wonder why I wear a sports bra!! I feel like I have the chest of a boy!! LOL When I went for my consult I told the PS I wanted to be a full B/small C. He recommended 255cc Silicone unders. When I went I had not done much research yet & didn't really think I would go through with it. Then I booked it!! Now I'm nervous about the size etc...not sure if I should go 275cc or 235cc...I feel like I cant remember what the sizers looked like!! But I live in the islands & cant just go see my PS when I want without a flight, hotel, rented car etc...gets expensive!! Freaks me out a bit!! I am meeting with PS the day before but nervous that he may not have different sizes in stock if I change my mind (hubby didn't come to consult but will be there next one) Aaaahhhhh!!! Updated on 30 Oct 2013: OK so I went for my pre-op appointment on Monday. I am more confused now than before. I brought my concerns to him about me being worried that 255cc was too big but somehow after trying more sizers on & more measurements he recommended 300cc mod+!! Now I am really freaking out!! He had concluded that we switch to mod + for less width which I agree. I liked how the sizers looked etc but I just cant seem to wrap my head around this!! Tonight I am making rice sizers to see AGAIN..I am about a week out & feel so confused! I think I should go with 275 mod + for my 5'4" 120 lb frame. Any thoughts?? Updated on 8 Nov 2013: I can't believe it!! I did it!! I was so nervous when they took me back to get ready, but before I knew it I was waking up!! Very bizarre!! No nausea no pain all went well!! Hubby drove me home we had lunch & now I'm in the recliner watching movies!! It's amazing what the body is capable of handling!! Will post some before pics now but I don't have any afters yet!! Updated on 9 Nov 2013: Updated on 11 Nov 2013: Updated on 18 Nov 2013: OK so I am back into reality!! I was away healing for 7 days after surgery & got home to my family (4yr & 1yr olds) on day 8. I feel great. Basically life is back to normal. I am able to do most all of my "duties" with ease except I am not back to the gym of course. I am trying to get used to my new image. Its weird. I spend time looking at them but I haven't tried on clothes etc....just don't seem to have time!! LOL I am sore today a bit. Under the breast near the incisions. I think its from c\having my 1yr old pressed against them etc...I hope! Its just a dull soreness, nothing major. I keep reminding myself its only been 10 days. I'll try post pics tonight!! Updated on 20 Nov 2013: As requested here are more pics!!
If you have encapsulation then the pain is not going to get better unless you do something about. Get a consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your options
What you have is not unusual. Partial numbness usually resolves within a few months. Your surgeon can follow your progress Expect to get sensation back.
In reading your history and reviewing your pre surgical photos, it does not appear that you have capsular contracture. With having scoliosis your rib cage on the left projects more than the right as well as your chest width and breast size being different. This gives you the size and shape difference.
Your tattoos will be in the same position relative to the shape of your breast and because of their position will only be minimally stretched out.
There are too many unknowns in regards to your case such as when the procedure was done, what the procedure was, what type of implant. these need to be known to give you an answer. Best to check back with your surgeon.
