Most excellent. Kind & professional. Top notch! Explained everything thoroughly pre-op & surgery went great. Trusted her care & would highly recommend. She really listened to what I was wanting and delivered.
From the very first communications I had with Dr. Gordon and her staff I knew I wanted to have my breast augmentation performed by her. Their team was so prompt, professional, comforting, supportive and knowledgeable. When booking a consultation you'll also simultaneously secure a tentative surgery date. During my consultation, I was surrounded by a host of sweet, caring staff who made me feel so special and enabled me to get all my questions answered. I also tried on sizers and talked with Dr. Gordon about my goals and manageable expectations. After my consultation, since my surgery date we already scheduled, I had the option of moving forward with the chosen date, rescheduling or canceling--of course I was ready to move forward! From then it was a matter of waiting for my surgery date. My consultation was on 12 April and my surgery was on 6 May. The facility (Restora) where my consultation, pre-op, and surgery were held was so top notch! You certainly get he first-class treatment that you're paying for and every inch of it is worth it! Again, I'm so grateful for the amazing doctor and staff at Restora -- Dr. Gordon, Courtney, Kendra, Angela, the anesthesiologist, and many others apart of the care team: thank you all! I would recommend this team to my closest friends and family! Updated on 14 May 2022: So I had my 1 week post op yesterday, 13 May 22 (my surgery was 6 May 22). It went very smooth—thank God. The nurse removed the suture nots and talked with me about scar care/ what to avoid and not avoid. No swimming for 3 weeks (until my scar is healed/closed) but I’ll need to do the scar care for 3 months. During my surgery last week, the staff was so caring and friendly and really made me feel comfortable as I was a bit nervous going into it. My mom picked me up after surgery and stayed with me for a week. I was so grateful I wasn’t in much pain and after the 3rd day I was weening off the pain meds. I am still taking the muscle relaxer since my muscles are pretty tight still. I didn’t have too much trouble sleeping whenever I slept, but I often woke up in the middle of the night in order to stay on top of my medications—I highly recommend not skipping any medications; this is what kept me comfortable throughout my entire first week. The Rapid Recovery regiment that Dr. Gordon prescribes is fantastic if you stick to it. Making a really comfy ‘recovery environment’ (the bed where I did my sleeping, plumped up with lots of pillows) prior to surgery was good so I could just transition right into it when I got home. I had all my meds in a pill container on my night stand next to my bed with plenty of water bottles, snacks, and ice packs. I also took the optional VitaMedica supplements (Arnica, Bromelain, approved vitamins, etc.) during this time which I also truly believed helped my smooth recovery. You must drink lots of water with all the medications you’ll be taking. I received 385 CCs and 415 CCs in my right and left breast respectively since my breasts were asymmetrical going into surgery. I’m not gunna lie, I kinda wish I went bigger but I think I’m just being greedy. I think they look great already, even though I’m only a week post op and I can’t wait to see how they continue to improve over time. Thanks again to Dr. Gordon and her outstanding team and I’ll continue to update throughout my healing journey! :)
I knew before I got pregnant that my body, at 39, was not going to "snap back" and looked into tummy tucks. I was right, except I didn't understand I would need a tummy tuck because I would have diastasis recti that made working out difficult and caused me back pain. I wasn't sure if I would find a provider in Austin since it's not really a place where people are caught up in looks. I went to Houston and did a consult with a Plastic Surgeon that was recommended to me by a friend. He said I only needed a mini-tummy tuck and suggested lipo for my arms and inner thighs, something I didn't think I needed before. I wasn't 100% comfortable with him or the office as a whole. I started looking around Austin and came across Restora and Dr. Gordon. I really liked their approach of doing a Tummy Tuck 360 - a full tummy tuck plus lipo around the whole mid-section. This was definitely the area I felt needed the most "help" that I didn't think I could get back with just diet and exercise. My appointment with her and her staff was wonderful. They are all very warm and answered all my questions (and at this point, I had a lot!). I didn't feel rushed at all. When I told Dr. Gordon about needing arm and inner thigh lipo, she brushed that off and said I could take care of that myself and she wouldn't recommend it. She made me feel better about myself. I like how she described the surgery she would perform on me, where the lipo wand would be inserted so I knew where some small scars would be. She also agreed I needed a full tummy tuck to fix my diastasis recti. Apparently, the "mini" that was suggested to me would not have included the most important part of the surgery that I needed - the repaired abs! She even noticed I had an umbilical hernia! Her attention to detail made me feel confident when I left that she would perform my surgery. Booking was easy - I had a date in mind and luckily she was available. I felt like all the pre-op information was very good and I made sure I would be prepared for recovery. All my questions were kindly answered by my patient coordinator. I appreciated the extra precaution the office took in December with the rise in COVID-19 cases and had everyone be tested before surgery, no matter the procedure. This made me feel safer during a scary time. The day of surgery I arrived at their surgery suite and was really nervous! The surgery was going to take 7.5 hours. My husband had to drop me off outside and couldn't wait with me beforehand, which I understood. The nurse who checked me in and got me ready was so wonderful! She talked to me the whole time and brought me a nice warm blanket to make me comfortable. She was also a champ at getting an IV line in with little pain! I got to meet with Dr. Gordon before the surgery and she went over some questions to confirm what I wanted. I decided to do the Tummy Tuck 360 with a breast lift and implant exchange. I previously had implants that were 10 years old at this point. I was really excited to get my boobs looking back to normal after pregnancy! After I was all marked up, I was led to the surgery suite, which was right around the corner from the waiting area. Also, I'll point out I was the only person waiting and though we all wore masks, it also made me feel more comfortable and safe. Walking into the surgery room, I appreciated the big lights not being on yet. It was a little dim and strangely comforting and not surgical. The was anesthesiologist very nice and all I remember is lying down and looking up at the dim lights as I drifted off. When you wake, you are in their recovery section across from the surgical rooms. I stayed the night because I had so much work done. I had a new nurse taking care of me and again, I cannot overstate how nice their staff is! I was in and out still from the medications. Anytime I woke, she was there asking me if I needed another blanket or food/water. Once I was more awake, she led me to the bathroom and I got to see my body for the first time post-op. I did have a snatched waist and my boobs were definitely better looking already! I learned how to use the walker and mostly kept sleeping until my husband arrived in the morning to take me home.
I traveled from CT to Austin TX to see Dr Ashley Gordon and I would do it 100x over again. I love my results & can’t stop looking in the mirror - exactly how I wanted. Dr. Gordon is an amazing surgeon & she GETS IT RIGHT! She is a great listener and listens carefully to the result that YOU want and then she performs her magic. I had a complex breast revision and was terrified that it wouldn’t come out the way I wanted and I’d have to get a third surgery. I’m so thankful for Dr. Gordon for an amazing outcome. She also is very courteous, friendly, explains things, and just a great person overall!
So far, I'm completely thrilled to have gone through with this procedure. I have minimal pain, which is probably due to the slow release Experol- a pain medication that is injected during the surgery. I had heard it was worth and I believe it truly is. I have not had to use any of the prescribed narcotics, which is what I was hoping for! The breasts feel tight, but from a scale of 1-10, I'd say I'm at a 2. I am taking it super easy even still. My boyfriend has been a champ and helps me stand, reach for things, etc. The whole experience with Dr Gordon and her entire team was exceptional. I can't say enough about how comfortable I felt from beginning to end. Any question I had prior was answered and the communication was prompt and kind. I definitely recommend her! I have plenty of meds with all kinds of special requirements about when they should be taken so I definitely recommend making a spreadsheet to write down times/check them off, particularly for the first few days post op, but also leading up (there's a few pills you have to take before hand, at least in my case there was). The first day you're super out of it from anesthesia, so my boyfriend was checking off all the pills as he gave them to me, their quantities and times taken. Dr Gordon's office gave us a list, too, which tells about all of it, but we are finding it easier to just have a day to day list to check off so you don't forget! I will post some before and after pics soon! I was a 34a(ish) and was hoping to move to a C cup. Apparently that's hard to predict because of a lot of factors, so you just have to try on sizers and see what you feel looks best. The doc went with 335 ccs in each. So far they look good In the compression bra, but I haven't peeked at them without it on because I have not yet showered. Will do later and will snap a few pics to post. I have wanted to do this forever. I had always talked myself out it, but I am so excited about having them now. I was nervous a few days prior but when I got there, everyone was so encouraging - it made me feel completely awesome and ready for the journey. If you have any questions for me, please ask! I've found this forum so helpful. The ladies on her that have shared so candidly really helped me ask questions and prepare. Y'all rock! Updated on 23 Dec 2019: I was hoping to have a subtle change, and you can see that in the before and after pic. My breasts are apparently closely symmetrical but not so much that my doc wasn’t sure If she’d go to a different size. As mentioned in previous post, she decided on the same size. I’m guessing I’ve gone from an A cup to a full C (eventually when they drop). Today I had a rash develop on my chest, but nothing crazy and the nurses have been great with follow up. Sometimes I get this rash before getting sick, so who knows- maybe it’s the same thing happening. It’s not itchy. Staying regular on meds and just sleeping whenever tired. Will keep posting my results as they change and my experience! Updated on 24 Dec 2019: Everything is going well! Merry Christmas to me! Things seem to be progressing as usual and for that I am completely grateful. A few caveats to this recovery near bliss: 1)I still get a shooting pain on my left side when I first get out of bed, but otherwise my pain is minimal. With all of the pain meds circling through my system, I’m not bothered at all as I sit and watch countless hours of Netflix, though I am slightly groggy for most of the day. Not bad, but still. I am wishing I could at least hop in the car and run a last minute errand for Xmas...but I had prepared for being immobilized. 2) I did develop a rash on my chest and neck yesterday, but sent pics via email to my doctor’s office. Fortunately they didn’t seem that concerned, but asked to be in touch. It has since subsided. Back to recovery as usual. 3) Stool softener can be your friend and enemy!! Ha. I started Colace (OTC) the day of and it kept me regular.... but almost too regular so proceed with caution. I was grateful I had a pad on because of being on my period, let’s put It that way. Eel. Anyway. :D Just a pro tip from me to you. 4) Massaging. I’m rubbing coconut oil on the girls daily, but I was advised to NOT massage the breasts because the doc said she’s seen a correlation between internal bleeding. So, I dunno. Just thought I’d put that out there.
This had been the best decision ever, in such short time the benefits have been life changing, my pains and aches have subsided, my posture has improved still working on it but without the extra wait it’s so much easier try to fix it. My sleep has tremendously change, even though I’m a side sleeper and this surgery requires to sleep in your back for long time , it actually has help alleviating the pain on my shoulders , so yes it was uncomfortable at first but I got adjust to it and works great. And even though I did not got the surgery for aesthetic reason I’m not going to lie I’ve been enjoying the rewards of it, Thanks to my wonderful Surgeon Mrs. Ashley Gordon such a sweet lady, very profesional a truly artist in her field of expertise, I didn’t go in with many expectations I just want it the wait out of my shoulders but but wow when I saw the results I was amazed of the results even though At 8 weeks still a work on progress it’s looking great .My incisions are looking amazing , can’t even tell I have the anchor incision except for the bottom one that have take longer to heel but it’s looking better by the week, and I haven’t have any scar treatment yet as far as lotions, gels or scar patches, I just wearing the tape they prescribed and it has been working perfect, I do recommend taking the vitamins that are optional but that I think makes such a big difference for a speedy recovery and to prevent bruises . I just want to thank my surgeon Dr. Ashley and her staff , wonderful facility as well. Dr Gordon makes you feel comfortable and, she explains in a easy manner all the questions you might have, again she’s an artist and I’m very happy with my results, Having a great Dr, make a difference and her work speaks volumes, I Recommend Dr Ashley Gordon 100% .
Hi everyone! I decided to write my review because it was only fair since your reviews/pics helped me pick my surgeon and prepare for pre and post surgery. Thank you! A little about myself- 39 yrs old, mother of 3 kids (8,6,4). I breastfed all 3 for 15 months. Ick. I was a cow, so I felt guilty stopping when I had so much milk even though I was not a fan of nursing. I had been talking about a mommy makeover but was pretty happy with my body. I love my body and work hard to keep it as toned as possible. I was about 118 pre pregnancies, and around 122 when I began my journey this year (Feb 2019). I had 3 consultations with 3 great Board Certified doctors. I’ll go into my experience with each one on my next post. I think I reached my word limit. Updated on 31 Jul 2019: Hi y’all! I hope this helps someone. As I began my journey I wanted as much info as possible on the surgeons I had consults scheduled with so this is my experience. I met with 3 doctors, one thing I learned was they all had different perceptions of a nice body. I met with Dr. Johnny Franco, Dr. Christine Fisher, and Dr. Ashley Gordon. All excellent Board Certified doctors- they were great and I would recommend consults with them as you begin your journeys. I wasn’t sure what I needed but I knew I hated how my stomach would stick out at the end of the day that I looked 3 mth preggers! I didn’t know if I needed a mini TT, full TT, or lipo. Dr. Franco - very nice and personable. He was cry complimentary of my body (made me feel good!) but his recommendation was body contouring and fat transfer to my hips and top of butt. Not a BBL and it would not even be considered a skinny bbl since I had minimal fat. I was concerned about my belly so he said maybe a mini TT but the scar might be too high and I was worried about the skin above the belly button. As for my breast it was implants or nothing. He said they looked great and a lift would not be needed. When I first started my journey I wanted breast implants but after further research it was not for me. Foreign objects, the upkeep (replacements/MRIs), and possible auto auto immune diseases did not sit well with me. Good first experience. To be fair - I was in the best shape as I had just finished a 4 month workout challenge. Dr. Fisher- she was amazing! I felt like she really listened to me then provided recommendations. I loved that she was direct and got to the point.Took her time and even drew out breast options knowing they were not a priority. She recommended a full TT and muscle repair as well as fat transfer to hips/butt and lipo to flanks, back, bra roll, area around arm pits, top of knees, and inner thighs. It would be a little over 7 hr surgery. Loved her but it felt like a little too much for me and she specializes on breasts especially cancer reconstruction. Updated on 31 Jul 2019: My final consultation was with Dr. Gordon at Restora Austin. She is a little ball of energy! She was nice, direct, and very open on her opinions and why. She listened to me and recommended a full TT with lipo - TT 360. Her practice is very innovative and revolutionary in plastic surgery. Her ad her partner created the concept of a TT 360- it’s a tummy tuck with full trunk contouring. We talked about breasts implants and fat transfer to the breast. She is one of the few doctors that offers the Ideal implant, a new saline implant that feels and looks better than older saline models. We talked about the pros and cons but she agreed that I was border line needed a lift but more towards not needing one. Her team is also great, I’ve met with her nurse Blaire who is great and very responsive. Dr. Gordon is on the high end but they are also in the front line of new products and perfecting their art. All the before and after pics were excellent too. I scheduled my surgery the day after and put down my deposit. Updated on 31 Jul 2019: I was 122 when I began my journey. I was at 128 before the surgery. These pics were taken 2 days before surgery. Updated on 31 Jul 2019: I was scheduled to arrive at 8:30 at the Inspire Surgery center. The center is owned by Dr. Gordon and Dr. Reid (partner). My surgery began at 9:30 am. I was very nervous the day before but surprisingly woke up calm the day of the surgery. The staff was great and they kept a quiet, serene environment vibe going on. They called me back, peed in a cup, blood pressure was taken, and I changed into a nice warm gown. I met with the anesthesiologist, nice man and highly regarded. They also had a fluffy heating blanket waiting for me. Dr. Gordon came in, drew on me and told me she was so excited for me to see the results and that I was going to look great. She gave me a hug and said they would be taking me to the operating room in a few mins. Since my surgery was scheduled from 9:30a- 5pm I was required to stay overnight for additional observation. Updated on 31 Jul 2019: I don’t have the video but they uploaded the fat transfer procedure. I was really hoping to see the tummy tuck and lipo. I took pics of the story. Updated on 31 Jul 2019: I was not in pain. They night nurse started me on my meds and told my husband to keep up like clockwork for the next 3 days. I must say that helped a lot! I feel fine, walking with a walker. Get the occasional pain as I get off and on the couch, bed, recliner but the incision and muscle repair do not hurt. The lipo areas are pretty sore. Updated on 31 Jul 2019: Here are pics! I think I got caught up on my journey so far. Please feel free to ask questions! Thanks! Updated on 1 Aug 2019: Hi there! I had my follow up appt today. Everything is healing well with the exception of a small granuloma near my incision site - lower right. The nurse treated it with silver nitrate. I just have to keep an eye on it. One drain is out! My arms are very swollen, she recommended I have lymphatic massage. Scheduling one for next week if possible. It was reassuring to get the ok to try to stand up straight. My back is killing me! On to more healing! Updated on 2 Aug 2019: 360cc and 370cc I kinda like them big but reality is that they will shrink once the swelling goes down. Updated on 1 Sep 2019: Swelling is minimal. My left breast looks a bit smaller but it has alway been smaller than my right side. Dr. Gordon did add more fat on that side. Looks like my right is the alpha boob. ?????? Updated on 30 Nov 2019: Hi there! I am currently at 18 weeks. Life is pretty much back to normal. I’m working out about 3 to 4 times a week and can do a 90 min plank again at Pure Barre. Yay! Eating normal more than usual due to the holidays. I was down to 124lbs before the Thanksgiving. Waist is at 29in, hips 36 1/2, bust 35 1/2. My waist is about 5 in smaller, 29 is still a little wide but I have always had more of a straight shape vs hourglass. I’m happy with my results and would pick Dr. Gordon again. I still use my garment but alternate with Spanx. I swell more on some days but not too bad. I travel with my garment on, the one time I traveled with Spanx I felt like I was going to explode. I turn 40 in December, I’m going to up my workouts to 5 times a week consistently. Life is good!
I found Dr. Ashley Gordon at Restora on Realself and scheduled my consult and surgery. From the moment I was in contact with her office staff, I was nothing but impressed. They are very organized, extremely attentive and I had the HIGHEST confidence in Dr. Gordon going into my surgery. My procedure was very successful and Dr. Gordon had a rapid recovery protocol that I followed which helped to make my recovery speedy and with as little pain and discomfort as possible. The procedure was performed in their surgical center, which felt more like going to the spa for the day! It was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The surgical staff was just as amazing, supportive and attentive. The post surgical garments were sooooo comfortable, I ended up buying 15 more, LOL!! Unfortunately, within a few days of my surgery, I came down with a severe case of Strep Throat. I called Dr. Gordon's office to inform them and they were AMAZING!!! They immediately increased the antibiotic prescription to a stronger version and started me on a capsular contractor protocol to protect the implant and prevent scarring. I'm 5 months post op now and the capsular contractor protocol has been very effective, I have no additional scarring and my incisions have healed beautifully. I'm extremely happy with the results, but even more impressed with Dr. Gordon and her staff. They were so organized, responsive and helpful. I felt very prepared going into the procedure, extremely well cared for during and following the procedure. More importantly, I fully trusted Dr. Gordon to help me achieve the result that I was going for. She is a fantastic doctor and I wouldn't dream of going to anyone else in the future. Thank you to Dr. Gordon and her entire staff!!!!
As a new resident to the Austin area, I didn't have any friends or family for referrals when I went to look for a surgeon to perform my breast lift. I did a lot of internet research and had several consultation appointments. I choose Dr. Gordon at Restora for a couple of key reasons. She was the first female board-certified plastic surgeon in Austin who is known for being a leader and an innovator in her field. She has wonderful patient reviews, awards & accolades and is highly recognized by other surgeons in the field. The before and after pictures on the website were also aesthetically pleasing to my personal taste. Lastly, she comes across as extremely knowledgeable yet warm and caring. The staff at Restora is equally as friendly, helpful and overall pleasant to be around. I'm extremely happy with my choice in surgeons as my results were more that I could ask for. A big thank you to Dr. Gordon and her staff for being great at what they do.
From the very first phone conversation with Stephanie to schedule my consultation I felt that Restora was going to be the right place for me. She was extremely friendly over the phone, made sure I understood the entire process of a breast augmentation before even scheduling a consultation, and overall was very welcoming. She was able to get me into a consult within a week. My nurse was Blaire, who was the SWEETEST, and so helpful. She helped me decide what size implant would be best and never tried to pressure me to go bigger than I wanted. Meeting Dr. Gordon at the initial consult was very important to me since I had been to a previous consult at a different surgeons office where you don’t meet them until pre-op! Dr. Gordon is amazing. She’s welcoming, sweet, and just down to earth. She asks you what your goals are, what you don’t want, and discusses how she can get you there. She can’t promise you a specific size since she takes multiple sizes into surgery and tries them on you finding the best fit for what y’all have discussed. It was not hard putting all my trust into her. Her pricing is definitely more than the surrounding doctors in Austin BUT I have zero regret. You get what you pay for! The day of surgery I had Lauren as my surgery nurse. She was just as sweet and helped calm my nerves before the operation. All in all, I highly recommend Dr. Gordon! You will not be disappointed!!
Hi,I agree with "can't teach an old dog new tricks". Unfortunately, many plastic surgeons are resistant to change. Many only implant one brand or type of device and I think this is really unfair to women. We want choices and I think the Ideal implant is a great option for many women, esp. those who are afraid of 'silent rupture'. Check out the physician locator on the ideal implant website and find someone near you who has experience with it. I love it! Good luck!
Hi,Thanks for your question. It's a bit of a tough one to answer because the gel implants aren't all the same. Some are significantly underfilled and the gels can be very different from one manufacturer to another. In general, I feel that the IDEAL implant ripples slightly more than a 5th generation gel but the IDEAL implant can provide a tremendous amount of security in patients who are worried about "silent rupture". It's a trade off and it's worth a discussion between you and your plastic surgeon to decide which implant is best for you and your lifestyle. My patients have been thrilled with their IDEAL implant results and many have been very thin and/or had minimal breast tissue.Best of Luck!
Hi,Thanks for your question and photos. From the pictures, it looks like an IDEAL implant in the 400 cc range would give you the look you wish to achieve. Make sure you choose a board certified plastic surgeon who does intra-operative sizing. This allows us to be 100% sure that the final implant we choose will give you the result you want!Best of Luck!
Hi,Thanks for your question. I believe the are available to all board certified plastic surgeons but they are more popular in some markets than in others. I love the IDEAL implant and my patients have been thrilled with their results. You can find a provider near you on the physician locator of the IDEAL implant website.Good luck!
Hi,Thanks for your question. I perform rapid recovery breast augmentation with Ideal Implants in Austin, TX. Sorry but I don't know anyone in NC who does them but you can check the physician locator on the Ideal Implant website. I don't perform lip lifts but be sure to seek the advice of a board certified plastic surgeon who has vast experience in those. They can be challenging and can lead to very unsightly scars if done improperly.Good luck!
