After reading all the reviews on this website I finally decided I wanted to try cool sculpting. I have to say most of the reviews on here have been dead on! So here's a little information about my body type, work out habbits and my experience. I'm 5'3 and weigh about 122lbs, my waist line is 33.5 inches. I have that pouch on my lower abs and no matter what I do, I can't get rid of it. I do the insanity work out about 4 times a week and run every now and then. I do have to say that the insanity work out has helped me lose weight but has NOT given me those ripped abs it advertises. May 30, 2012 Day 1 and Day 2: I went in for my consultation and decided to go ahead with the procedure. The nurse was very informative as she had also gotten the procedure done a few months back. She then applied a cold gel cloth to my lower abs. She then asked if I was ready and counted to 3 before she turned the zeltiq machine on. She did warn me about the suction and the level of discomfort. The suction felt like my skin was being pulled really really tight and also felt a burning sensation. This went on for about 5 minutes. Nothing I couldn't handle. After that my skin went numb and I felt no pain. After an hour, the nurse came in and disconnected the machine from my skin. This part felt uncomfortable. It felt like my skin was on fire. Again this only lasted for a few minutes...The procedure was then done. I did not get massaged like other reviews I have read...The area that was treated did look funny. The skin was sticking out but it only took about 10 minutes before it went back to normal. I did have some redness and swelling but I felt ok. The area is sensitive so whenever I have to pick up my 18 month old, i'm very careful because it hurts a little if he rubs against it. I slept ok the first two nights. I will update the blog later this week to let everyone know what my experience has been like. I will also post my before pictures at the 2 week mark along with an after picture at two weeks. I hope to see some changes by the end of week 2.Updated on 2 Jun 2012:June 2.2012 Day 4: Last night I started feeling the sharp pains and I barely slept. It wasn't anything I couldn't bare but there was a level of discomfort. Today I'm feeling the same sharp pains that feel like pins and needles only a bit more stronger. They are constantly there but the strong ones come and go. My lower abs are still numb. I will try and ice pack tonight to see if it helps. I know this is going to work and I'm looking forward to seeing the changes soon. I will post my before and after pics at the end of week 2.Updated on 4 Jun 2012:Day 5 was still a bit painful. I took some over the counter meds to ease the pain and it helped a little. What really has helped is icing the treated area. Today is Day 6 and I'm feeling a little bit better than Days 4 and 5.Updated on 6 Jun 2012:Day 7 was still the same. The pain woke me up several times through out the night. Once I would ice it I was able to go back to sleep. The toughest part for me has been my 18 month old. He is attached to me at the hip so since the area is so sensitive, it hurts every time he jumps on me or brushes up against me. Day 8: Today I am finally feeling a bit better. I am able to tolerate the pain without taking any over the counter meds and no ice. So it looks like from this day on the pain will subside. Now I'm just eager to start seeing some results. I am hopeful that I will see some changes starting week 2. I will post pictures once I hit the 2 week mark.Updated on 25 Jun 2012:It has been 4 weeks since my procedure and I have noticed subtle changes to my lower abdomen. I am being realistic about the results as I know I will not have a Victoria Secret model body but I am pleased to see that my money did not go to waste. I am really hoping for better results in the weeks to come...Here are my before and 2 weeks after picture. I will post another picture later this week!
Co2 on lower part of face and and Fractional lasar over entire face, left me undamaged but also with no discernable improvement. Costly/wasteful. Doc is seemingly nice, but clearly unmoved by a patient's unhappiness.
I am about to book my first appointment with Ny Skin and Laser using the newest Picoway lasers I am excited to get rid of these unwanted tattoos! I have had three consults in NJ and two said they would use the picosure the most updated laser they had available. The fee for all three tattoos was going to be between 500-600 per session and they said in average it could be between 6-10 sessions. They all said they could not guarantee 100% removal noting that the small amount of red and yellow in my flower tattoo would be hard to remove completely. They also told me it would HURT! After doing more research I heard about the new Picoway laser by syneron candela and found a clinic in NY that has it. Dr Kauvar at NY Skin & Laser Center is the only one in what seems like the tri state area to have purchased this laser and she herself has been part of the clinical studies. I had my consult with her last week. The wait time was an hour and it seems like this is probably the norm so I have to be prepared to have enough time to get into the city from NJ deal with the waiting room times and then she said to give myself about an hour for the procedure as she used numbing injections first that take time to kick in. She seemed very knowledgable and friendly (I had my five year old with me) she too time to answer all of my questions. The rate she gave me per session for all three tattoos was $1000 and gave me an estimate of 8 treatments for removal she does believe that I can get close to 100% removal using a combo of lasers and techniques. I haven't been able to find many reviews at all on Picoway so I'm excited to share my story on here and hopefully be able to show great results! I'm also posting the journey on Instagram. Should be having my first treatment in the next few weeks so I'll be sure to keep this updated!
