I am amazed at what a perfect smile looks like . I t has been 3 days since I had my Veneers Placed and Im amazed . My dentist is AMAZING and I was shocked to see her change my smile in 2 visits!I didnt have "a terrible smile " but I didnt have a great one either . I had what they called an upside down smile and I never really used it . I wasnt that consious of it until i actually wanted to use it and then i would notice things i didnt like about it . To me i looked like my brother not a bad thing but no girl wants to look like a boy .. I never smile with my teeth in pictures so getting my smile perfect has been a goal and a dream of mine .When i went in to the dentist we went over everything and then we decided what EACH tooth would look like .. My next visit we filled in any cavitys removed any silver and I had the temporarys put on ..The pain was minimal but what suprised me the most was seeing a perfectly shaped smile in a week i will have them made permanant i already know the changes i want made to them i realised i dont want a perfect perfect smile i want some personality to mine so im gonna change the shape on a couple of the teeth and shorten the front two a lil more even before there permanant they are beautiful and it even changed my facial features below my nose my lips look fuller as well ..I will say eating is akward for me since i was used to flat short teeth and i had grinded them down for years and my teeth are grinding at night now that they have been built up to the right length so i will be needing to wear a mouth guard now but for the first time i know when i smile i dont have to wonder what it looks like i simply know its mine and its perfect . My pain was mild only the first day but that was do to the back teeth being worked on and cavitys being fixed as well as crowns ..My dentist made the experince very comforting and easy she assured me we would get the right smile for me and to let her know what I liked or didnt like .
Lumineers are a brand name for 'low prep' veneers. there are literally 100's of dental labs in the USA alone that make 'low prep veneers.' only about 1% of patients actually qualify for ZERO PREP veneers. DenMat has extensively marketed their product - Lumineers. Many patients do qualify for 'low prep Lumineers'... but... the biggest complaint of Lumineers is that patients feel that their teeth become bulky after they are placed. Lumineers are to teeth as acrylic nails are to natural nails. One 'myth' with Lumineers is that they are reversable. Lumineers (and veneers) are BONDED to the enamal of your teeth. this is IRREVERSIBLE. Over the last decade, there have been many advances in Veneer technology. This has made it possible for properly trained dentists to place veneers that look like natural teeth that are white, straight, and proportioned to fit YOUR profile (and are not 'bulky').
The most common reason why Dental Implants fail is smoking. Research shows that patients who have Dental Implants retain the bone where the implant is placed.
Our office offers in-house financing for those patients who do not qualify for financing through care credit. The only requirement is a 50% down payment. For Invisalign Express (ten movements or less), that is only a down payment of $1,450.00. For a full case (up to 2 years of movements) the down payment is $2,500.00. Monthly payments are interest free, and payment is due at every visit.
Whitening tooth pastes are very abrasive and are helpful in removing "extrinsic" stains on teeth or stains on the outside of your teeth. Whitening, works more like Oxy-Clean using a safe derivative of hydrogen peroxide to remove the stains from deep within your teeth. If you have sensitivity or recession, whitening tooth paste is not good for you. Good luck!
The nice thing about implants are their versatility. You can often have an implant or two placed for every missing tooth. This is a wonderful solution but is often too expensive for the average person. You can have combinations of bridges and implants. You may even have a denture with a few implants. The options are endless! I recommend getting a couple quotes and staying where the doctor and you seem to see things in the same way! Good luck.
