I never recommend overfilling of the tear trough. If it is not placed properly under the muscle you can get a bulge under the eye like this. Boletero in general does not cause as much swelling than other fillers like Restalyn Silk. However, this could be your bodies reaction and this will subside. Luckily, Vitrase can dissolve it if necessary. I would wait 2 weeks and then decide.
Tear troughs are very difficult to treat and where to go all depends on the provider's experience and training in treating them. It's best done with a filler like restalyne or boletero. However, its not FDA approved for this indication. You must be very careful to not over treat and make sure the provider places the product under the muscle. Otherwise you will look swollen in the area while running the risk that the cheek will run into the lower lid giving you a puffed appearance.
You should not have visibly open holes post procedure. Depending if radiofrequency is involved or not, the microchannels should close within 10 minutes to several hours post procedure. However, they generally are not visible to the naked eye.
