It is scary contemplating and then undergoing a surgical procedure but right from the start I had every confidence in Dr Tsirbas. He was professional, honest, punctual (!!) and most importantly I am thrilled with the results. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone looking at eyelid surgery.
I'm 60 years of age and am very happy with the results of Ptosis surgery correction, a drooping eyelid, which I have had since childhood. With age, my eyelid started obscuring my otherwise normal vision. Great job, and thank you, Angelo.
50 with tired, wrinkly lower eyes. This has always been the case and I think exaggerated by rubbing my allergy suffering eyes for a life time. Procedures on the day included: Myocutaneous Flap Repair Canthoplasty TCA Peel Pics are 3 weeks apart. Still not fully healed but looking nearly normal.
I had upper eyelid surgery with Dr Tsirbas about a year ago now. I’m so happy with the results and wish I had done it sooner. The results are fantastic, and now I don’t look tired all the time. The surgery wasn’t too bad and he gave me compression goggles to use afterwards which significantly reduced the bruising - I actually didn’t have any bruising at all, just redness and a bit of swelling. He’s also really lovely, as are the two girls that work in the surgery. I was definitely prepared to pay a bit more for the best surgeon, since it’s my eyes I didn’t want to take any risks.
Dr Tsirbas and his team were fantastic to deal with from the first consultation, through my surgery and during my recovery. Really professional service and care. He was correcting a previous surgery on one of my eyes as well as matching that to the other eye that needed lifting. I was very concerned that my eyes wouldn't look the same, but they have ended up looking terrific. So pleased with the results. I'd recommend Dt Tsirbis to anyone.
I had excellent results with upper eyelid blepharoplasty. My eyes look so much better and I no longer have the ‘tired’ look. I cannot recommend enouhg Dr Tsirbas and his team and thank him for practicing in Canberra.
Dear Dr Tsirbas and team at Jamison Street Day Surgery. I would just like take this opportunity to highlight and commend the work of Sonya (ADON Jamison Street Day Surgery), Charlotte (Patient Coordinator) and Dr Tsirbas. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Tsirbas and his team a couple of months ago and my experience was exceptional. Charlotte your communication, patient focused care and friendliness is something which you should be proud of. Sonya for your professionalism, outgoing and warm welcoming attitude and Dr Tsirbas for his amazing skills, knowledge and expertise. I have never felt more comfortable in been able to approach Dr Tsirbas and his team. Thankyou again, I will definitely recommend your service to other people. J Toohey
If your looking for perfection this is the place to go Tsirbas is brilliant, I had had 2 botched surgeries by another eye surgeon (Dr Ravi Singh in Newcastle, don't go near this guy) and when he told me I needed to go back again (And yes I had to pay again for him to fix his second mistake) in pain and frustration I decided to contact another eye surgeon in Sydney and get a second opinion. When I got this opinion the cosmetic surgeon I visited was refreshingly honest with me and said that although this was his specialised field the damage that had been done needed someone on the next level and although he did not want to pass up the work he felt it was in my best interest to go and see Dr Tsirbas. I now knew that I had a big problem had the initial consultation with Dr Tsirbas where he explained clearly what the problems were and came up with a plan to address these problems. I was taken back by the difference in attitude and professionalism between my first so called specialist and Dr Tsirbas and started to understand why other more ethical cosmetic surgeons refer their more difficult cases to him. The process started and I can not say enough good things about the staff, the process, the after care service and follow up. The best words I can think of to describe my experience are, extremely professional, perfectionist, understanding, focused, diligent and proud of his work. I am more than willing to talk to anyone who might be interested about my positive experience with the team at the Jamison St Day surgery. Milena and Charlotte could not have been more helpful I was 100% satisfied after the surgery and aftercare and can not recommend this man more strongly from both a personal and professional stand point. Recently I had my eye surgery due to excess skin drooping over my eyes I was referred by my eye surgeon to Dr Tsirbas he assured he was the very best in the business. I would have to agree with his words, his meticulous approach to such tiny details but skills needed to perform this delicate surgery with such tiny delicate sutures indeed tell his skill in all a not unpleasant situation from the day of the surgery onwards all was explained in such detail, costs pros and cons I was amazed at the level of professionalism he displayed Dr Tsirbas deserves the highest accolades possible he is indeed entitled to be called a skilled surgeon in my opinion and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to all. You will be in very capable hands from the start to the end I am delighted with my results not only can I read books better but it has improved my outlook and given me new confidence. My surgery was in March 2019
Dr Tsirbas excised a Bowen's carcinoma from my left upper eyelid. It was a growth I'd had for 50 years, initially small & slow-growing but latterly beginning to spread. Difficult, fiddly but highly competent surgery. A month later, it's hard to see where the incision and subsequent skin graft were made. Best of all, there's now no trace of the carcinoma in adjacent tissue. It has been a great pleasure dealing with "Team Tsirbas": Angelo, Melina & Charlotte. Lovely people performing critically important & potentially life-saving surgery. I hope I won't need the team again, but if I do I'm confident I'll be in the hands of the best eyelid surgeon there is!
There are a multiple reasons people get dark circles underneath their eyes, including genetics, lower eyelid position, lower eyelid bags, allergens, sun exposure, previous trauma, and loss of volume in the cheeks. Identifying the underlying cause is the most important and effective way to treat them. About 50% of the patients that see me for eye rejuvenation will not need surgery and they will benefit from minimally invasive procedures such as volume restoration (dermal fillers), this is often more appropriate for younger patients however is not a permanent solution. A more permanent solution would be a Transconjunctival Lower lid Blepharoplasty which involves making the incision behind the eyelid. This is the most ideal procedure for younger patients or those with very little redundant skin on the lower eyelid.
Ptosis, pronounced toe-sis, is the medical term for drooping of the upper eyelids. The drooping may be worse after being awake for a longer period of time or even when your muscles are tired and can in turn make you appear tired. Many people have the surgery for aesthetic reasons in order to refine the symmetry to their face. Because of a constant effort to raise the eyelids it is not uncommon to experience frequent headaches. Patients will often tilt their heads back or lift their eyebrows (as you appear to be doing in this image) in order to see (especially if bilateral ptosis is present). Among other symptoms, lax eyelids may cause headaches and brow aches, obscure the vision or irritate the eye. Ptosis Repair is one of the most common procedures performed in facial plastic surgery.
Hi there,You may benefit from minimally invasive procedures such as volume restoration (dermal fillers), anti-wrinkle injections, peels and eye creams on the short-term.However for a long-term result, a Transconjunctival Blepharoplasty would be your solution. Transconjunctival Lower lid Blepharoplasty involves making the incision behind the eyelid. This is the most ideal procedure for younger patients or those with very little redundant skin on the lower eyelid. The incision is then used to access the prolapsed orbital fat for repositioning or removal. Thank you.
Hi there,There are multiple reasons for the development of dark circles and lower eyelid bags. You are correct in ensuring you have adequate sleep & nutrients, as this is certainly a variable. Other variables include herniation of eye socket fat, loss of volume in the face, gravity effects, tissue dehydration and stretching of the skin.Treatment options include minimally invasive procedures such as volume restoration (dermal fillers), anti-wrinkle injections, peels and eye creams. However there is also the option of a Transconjunctival Blepharoplasty. Transconjunctival Lower lid Blepharoplasty involves making the incision behind the eyelid. This is the most ideal procedure for younger patients or those with very little redundant skin on the lower eyelid. The incision is then used to access the prolapsed orbital fat for repositioning or removal. Thank you.
