I have wanted to do Fraxel for years! Discussed it so many times before finally deciding to pull the trigger. The biggest concern other than the expense I had was talking the time off. The procedure itself was pretty painless. I was surprised that pain medication was needed, I don't have a high tolerance for pain but felt only very mild discomfort. The recovery felt easy, nothing uncomfortable like with a chemical peel, but it was definitely not possible to go out in public at all for at least 4 days. I had the procedure done on a Wednesday and was back to work by Monday but definitely felt self conscious until about the following Wednesday /Thursday. As far as results, I cannot say there is a visible difference but I think a single treatment does not necessarily give dramatic results. All in all, it was painless although difficult to fully hide out during the recovery process. I would definitely get another treatment in the future.
