Dr Nikolis suggested this procedure and he was 100 percent right, he also helped me avoid going under the knife to revise an old thyroid scar ( I am forever grateful to Dr Nikolis who is truly world class! Thank you Victoria for introducing us on my birthday last year.
I sometimes feel hesitant around doctors, some don’t always listen to patient concerns, but I liked Dr. Nikolis right away. In my experience he was friendly, funny, kind and very approachable with questions. I didn’t feel nervous at all, and when I explained what I wanted and which options I had looked at, he explained exactly why certain options wouldn’t be ideal while still letting me be the one to decide what I felt comfortable with. I really liked his approach of explaining things without making me feel lectured, and I genuinely felt like he wanted to make sure I knew as much as I needed to know beforehand. I had liposuction done on my abdomen and extended submental to address a double chin, and he did a fantastic job from what I see so far, after around 5 months. Lipo takes a while to get the full result apparently, but his coordinator Erika is really nice and she let me harass her with all the questions I had and made sure I felt comfortable. Dr. Nikolis seems like a perfectionist, which I really appreciate. He kindly addressed a nasty scar that was near the area I was operated on, and when the scar colour was a bit dark upon healing he had me sent for some laser treatments to lighten it up. I have a few sessions of that left and maybe one more consult before all the results are at their peak, but if I had to go back in time I’d choose him and his clinic again in a heartbeat. I’ll obviously be back for any future work I want done, I trust him 100%. I’ll update with photos when the clinic has my before and after shots.
Dr Nikolis treated my mother and I - he looked to my mother to see how I will age and to me to see how she aged (we look a lot alike!). He was purposeful, attentive and most importantly, extremely talented. Results are so natural yet life changing for both of us. Dr Nikolis is the best of the best.
I had several procedures done with Dr.Nikolis which include Tear trough fillers, lip fillers, and masseter botox. I have to say that Dr.Nikolis expertise, and humour, always puts me at ease and helps me trust the process that much more. He listens to my needs, and always assesses my facial structure before doing any procedure, so as to ensure I get the best results for my face. His nurse Victoria is also always very welcoming and sweet. Love their team!
Dr nikolis, has to be the best plastic surgeon in Montreal hands down!!!!!! He is extremely patient, very attentive and tells you how it is. By that I mean he will not give you false hope about attaining something that is unattainable. I have had lipo+ a mini thigh lift with Dr. Nikolis, which went very well. He took his time explaining everything down to, how the procedure would go, and also how I would look. He answered many of my questions, and I felt comfortable instantly. He is very intelligent, he always makes sure to suggest different options for each procedure leaving you in total control when making your decision. Example: DR. Nikolis , had told me that by simply doing lipo the skin was most likely to sag, therefore he suggested a mini lift aswell. Let me just tell you , He really does care about the end results of his patients and makes sure you are completely satisfied with the results. His medical coordinator Erika is extremely organized , and always one step ahead of the game when it comes to booking appointments getting you prepared for your operation and more .While his operating staff is extremely attentive , and helpful. Dr Nikolis, is the only plastic surgeon who makes you feel 100% comfortable to go through whatever opération without thinking twice. His sense of humor, attention to detail and sense of compassion is everything !
I have beef blesses its cellulite my entire life and was always looking for a way to remove it. Waiting for technology to figure out. My dermatologist suggested that I go see Dr. Nikolis and try Cellfina because I seemed o be he perfect candidate. I’m 45 and have gained and lost weight over the years so have some flaccid skin but I was hopeful. Dr. Nikolis is a riot so you immediately feel at ease and his team is amazing and I let no pressure whatsoever. In fact, his assistant suggested o reschedule so that I wouldn’t feel uncomfortable while on vacation. After rescheduling 2 times, the day of my appointment finally arrived. I was shitting bricks because of all the reviews I read on real self. First! The procedure WAS NOT painful. I’m not sure what these other plastic surgeons are doing but all Dr.Nikolis lagged a me when I told him I was worried about pain and he had every reason to laugh. All I felt was the pinch of he needles when he injected the local anaesthetic. A joke!Once my butt in the back of my legs were frozen, I felt nothing. I did Take 2 Atasol’s (prescribed) before the procedure because of all the horror stories I read on RealSelf. After the procedure which took an hour, the nurse massaged My legs and butt to remove the liquid that came with the Anesthetic and isa told to rock back and forth on my bum and legs for another 20 minutes to help remove more of the liquid. He nurses bandaged me up with gauze and a depends diaper and I put a pair of spanx over all of this for compression. I bid the team farewell, and went out to a fancy lunch. At lunch I realize that I was still leaking and so I decided to go home and rest. Once the anaesthetic dissipated I felt sharp but short pain Every time I applied pressure to my butt or legs however it was very bearable and forced to rest and watch TV for eight hours. I Took one out of salt every 3 to 4 hours and I really think this helped. I reapplied the bandages and dressings three times within 24 hours and the third time a applied arnica. This morning I woke up and have no more leaks and believe it or not my bruises have already started fading. I feel 90% better and there is barely any pain. Now let’s talk about my butt and legs… They look absolutely amazing and I just hope it’s not the swelling. I pray that when the swelling goes down (it has gone down by 50% compared to yesterday) that my butt and legs stay looking the way they look right now!! So far I think it’s a miracle procedure and that Dr. Andreas Nikolis is a genius. I suggest that any of you in the United States or Canada come to Montreal for this procedure because he is absolutely amazing and he is also one of the top experts for this procedure in the world. Most importantly, this procedure is not for overweight women looking for a solution. This procedure should only be done on women who are fit and have cellulite. I think it is irresponsible of plastic surgeons to perform this on women who have weight issues. I will follow up as I heal!! If anyone has any further questions I will be happy to answer. Cheers and good luck!
Was worried about doing it but so happy I did. Instantly turned back the clock to how I looked 10 yrs ago! Procedure was quick and painless. Had pain/discomfort after. Feeling very bruised and tender at day 2. Filler feels hard. I didn’t expect that. Follow up in 2 weeks. Realself similar posts helped weigh my decision. Giving back now. ;-)
Can he get 6 stars? I have seen tons of doctors in my life and he probably is one of the most knowledgeable AND open-minded of all on top of being an excellent and incredibly skilled surgeon that surrounds himself with top-notch team. He did my breast augmentation in 2007 and my body reacted not so good to the implants from the start. From day one all tru the following years, he always took super good care of me, even coming in the hospital to check on me while i was hospitalized on Christmas day 2007. He always goes out of his way to make time for his patients and make sure they're well taking care of. In 2018 I choose to remove my implants without replacement, he did the explant surgery at the CHUM in Montreal, again, incredible surgery with an excellent team, again i had complications and even when he was out of the country while i was in the hospital, he made sure the resident stayed in contact with him to make sure i got the right treatments. He made sure to followed my recovery very closely. My scars are superb and i look super fine even without the implants. I would choose him all over again in a heartbeat.
I went from a b to a dd. 610 cc silicone under the muscle. Now first off the doctor is super nice and his team are really great too. You have s medical coordinatior who answers all the call or texts with whatever wiestions you have. For me that was super important . I tend to be real nervous about oh everything!!! The day of surgery I was super nervous and crazy and they calmed me down and next thing I knew i was halfway home . The pain was honestly not even a big factor for me. The pills they gave for pain were so strong I inly took them for the first two days. After that I continued with string Tylenol . Now I did experience a capsular contracture at around month 3 1/2 post op. The doctor had me come in and immediately confirmed my fears.(view second pic)He said not to worry and sends to me a physiotherapist. She fixed basically everything. So for those worried about capsular Contracture , if you see it early and get physio you may not have to go under the knife again . Most ppl can't tell they aren't natural and they look and feel amazing. What I will say though is that probably because of my skin color , my scars didn't heal so nicely . But..... They are so well hidden that they can't be seen front on. The laser scar removal that they include is so painful I only did it on the right one. And honestly it made it so much worse . All in all I am super happy though and I would definitely recommend Dr nikolis to my friends.
I had my lips enhanced with Dr Nikolis last year. I must say I was a little bit nervous going in for this treatment but very quickly Dr Nikolis put me at ease. He explained how the procedure would take place in detail and we discussed the results that I would like to see at the end. Once the procedure was done he told me to come back in a week for a check-up. This made me feel very comfortable because I knew that if there was something that I was not happy with I was going back again and could get it taken care of. However, the results were great and I would go back for more treatments.
It sounds like you are going through a very difficult time with this. Understandably so. I would suggest the following: You have had a lot of surgery over a relatively short period of time in the same region. At this point, I would definitely allow everything to heal. I would not consider any intervention for the next several months. At that point you will need to reassess whether the final result justifies another surgical intervention (with its inherent risks and possible complications). The road you will ultimately chose (more surgery vs keeping the implant) is a decision you need to be comfortable with. Take the time to heal, and discuss the options with your surgeon when you are ready.
Vitamin E doesn't effect the coagulation systems and does not cause excessive bleeding. Some anecdotal evidence has shown that bleeding may occur in patients given high doses of intravenous synthetic vitamin E. Regardless, I would limit any medications not prescribed by your surgeon in the immediate 2 weeks following surgery. As for prevention of capsular contractors, there is only weak scientific evidence of oral Vitamin E impacting capsular formation. Any use of oral/herbal/natural or other medications whether over the counter or by prescription should be discussed with your physician prior to surgery, to avoid any unnecessary adverse events.
