Dr. Jarchow is an awesome surgeon. She fixed my twice deviated septum. The surgery process was simple . She answered all my questions before surgery. Her office processed all insurance papers. She took photos before and after. Her staff was incredibly positive and supportive, and reviewed each phase of healing with me. There were no surprises. Having this done was the best gift to myself and others. Because I was always so conscious of how visibly my nose was crooked, I hadn't ever noticed my nasal breathing was impaired by the deviations. My breathing improved with surgery. I am writing this review so others know my experience. My family and I are forever grateful to Dr. Jarchow. They have a new, more fulfilled, confident mom. She and her staff reset more than my nose. They restored my self-image.
I have trusted Dr. Andrea Jarchow Garcia for my cosmetic procedures--dermal fillers and injectables--for the past three years. During that time, I have tried Juvederm, Restylane, Disport, and Botox. No matter the product, Dr. Jarchow is always knowledgable and professional, kind and caring. I trust her completely, and she has always provided excellent medical guidance.
Dr. Jarchow was fabulous! I've had a mole on my face since I was younger and was concerned it would leave a noticeable scar when removed. When I had my consultation with Dr. Jarchow she was very professional and very friendly! She removed the mole and it left no facial scars. I would highly recommend Dr. Jarchow for any type of facial plastic surgery. She is a top notch Facial Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon.
I highly recommend Dr. Andrea Jarchow Garcia for any/all your ENT/Plastic Surgical needs. I met Dr. Jarchow in 2014 for a consultation to correct a collapsed nasal septum after breaking my nose in high school. Her upbeat personality and genuine compassion were immediately a hit with me. She made me feel completely comfortable as she presented her treatment plan with knowledge and experience. She explained the procedure in a way that allowed me to understand all of the pros and cons of a rhinoplasty, and particularly to my specific needs. The day of surgery she comforted me and explained exactly who would be seeing me for anesthesia and who I would see when I woke up from the procedure in recovery. They say you hire in your own image, and I believe this because everyone who assisted me the day of surgery made me feel at ease. After surgery, Dr. Jarchow took a lot of time to explain to my mother and me the post-operative instructions. In addition to the rhinoplasty, I had concerns with some nevi (moles) that a plastic surgeon had previously tried to remove, but did not do completely. I asked her if she could remove them completely while I was under anesthesia. I know this may seem like a small issue, but Dr. Jarchow removed those small lesions as if it was as important as the rhinoplasty. I found this to be incredible and reassuring in her care. My follow-up visits were timely and complete. I had zero complications and healed right on schedule. I completely and thoroughly trust Dr. Jarchow. I highly recommend her for any of your ENT/Plastic Surgery needs. Your expectations will be exceeded, I promise.
In general, the vast majority of lipomas are completely benign. On the face and neck, the scalp is a very common location for lipoma growth. You are definitely in good hands seeing either a board-certified facial plastic surgeon or board-certified plastic surgeon. It is important to remove the lipoma in total to prevent recurrence. Even if it requires a larger incision, the scalp tissue heals well. Do not worry to much about it. It should still be very straight-forward to remove!
Thank you for your question. To start, 12 days after rhinoplasty is very early in the healing process. There is still major post-operative swelling. I agree with you that the right side appears to be asymmetrically swollen is comparison to the left. It may have been a more difficult side to adjust and thus more swollen. However, I think you should discuss this with your surgeon within the next several days. The nasal bones at this point are still mobile and small adjustments can still be made by your surgeon in the office.
Good afternoon! It is difficult to tell from the pictures about your columellar incision. The incision is covered with the tape around the tip of your nose. Signs of infection of the area however are increasing tenderness at the base of the nose, increasing redness to the skin around the incision, and increasing foul-smelling drainage. Please ask the office of your surgeon first but some gentle cleaning of the area with half-strength hydrogen peroxide on a Q-tip may help eliminate the blood and crusts. You are likely due to see your surgeon in two days or so but it may be worth sending the pictures to his or her office. Happy Healing!
Good afternoon! Swelling after cast removal is absolutely normal. The cast provides nice compression of the area while in place. After cast removal, swelling will inevitably return. As other physicians have answered, this may take weeks to months to subside completely. The greatest amount of the swelling after rhinoplasty will be gone after 6 weeks. Gradually, over the course of a year or so you will notice small changes as the remaining swelling departs. Certain activity and food can make the nasal skin swell temporarily as well as in the early stages of healing. Salty foods will definitely make the nose appear more puffy in the acute healing phase. As your activity increases after surgery, you will have days of increased swelling. This will wax and wane also with acute healing. Happy healing!
Good afternoon! It looks like your surgeon did both a meticulous job with closure!! It is not uncommon to have differences in healing from one side to the other. You are still very early in the healing process. The incisions are placed in areas that camouflage well after complete healing. Please make sure to let your surgeon know your concerns. Overall, it appears to be healing quite well!
