Both Invisalign and braces can deal with most cases.  Certain situations where there is severe crowding or serious bite issues will need braces and/or traditional appliances instead.  Assuming both can treat a given case (example, spacing, crowding, misalignment), usually, it takes around the same time.  Key differences include:

• Invisalign needs more compliance.  If they are not in your mouth, they are not working!
• Invisalign is clear and therefore much less noticeable than braces.
• Invisalign is typically more comfortable.
• Since they are removable, Invisalign makes it easier to clean your teeth - you can take them out, brush and floss as normal, then put them back in.
