I scheduled panniculectomy to address vertical excess skin on my abdomen. My surgeon changed the procedure while I was in surgery. He said that he thought he could get the desired result by doing a horizontal incision only. One year later, many calls and hundreds of dollars in out of pocket cost just to see my surgeon again and I have been told that I will have to pay for a new procedure to address the chief complaint that I came with initially, and that no discount or assistance will be provided. I went seeking a fleur de lis, discussed a fleur de lis, was marked for a fleur de lis, and then received something else while under anesthesia. I made several calls to discuss this with the medical and billing staff, and was eventually told that my only option is to pay thousands of dollars for a new procedure that I cannot afford due to paying for the first procedure. If the doctor had done what we discussed and what was scheduled, I would no longer have infections in my abdominal area due to excess skin. The doctor chose a different procedure and it was not successful. I am now left with the resulting ongoing issues and no way to remedy them.
I had a breast reduction in 2017 and ended up so small I feel like I’ve had a mastectomy. My consultation with him was rushed and he didn’t set good expectations with me about how small I would end up based upon what the insurance company would require. I went from a 40DD to a 40A. I told him during my consultation that I did not want to be smaller than a full C, because it would not fit my body size/shape. It is so difficult to find bras that fit now!
Asymmetrical areolas, misplaced implants, lax skin hanging, size B when I requested a D. The Dr told me, “It’s the best I could do and you're being nit picky.” I asked for a refund and the CEO/Dr refused.
