Repair, Renew, Reshape: this was the brief I gave to the many surgeons that I consulted with when I started searching for an aesthetic surgeon. I have been seriously looking since about 2017, when I really thought I cannot look at myself anymore. My issues were twofold; I had a botched rhinoplasty in 2008 (my nose looked like an upward pointed pig snout), and then stupidly went back to the same surgeon in 2011 for what I was led to believe was going to be a SMAS facelift (it was actually a "lunchtime lift", that left Frankenstein scars in front of both ears, and two pixie ears in addition). The results of both procedures were disappointing to say the least, which led me to slowly consider trying again, despite being afraid that I would be stuck again with a face that didnt feel like Me. For this time around, I had consultations with many doctors in the US and in Europe. I discovered Dr. Marchac on the website of another surgeon who operates mainly in the US. One of the things I realized is that I did not want to recover from something so invasive while I was far away from home (I live in Europe). His before and afters are amazing, and this was what drew me to him in the first instance. I called his practice and found it difficult to get through at first. I left a message on the answering machine (it is in French of course so it helps if you speak French. I do not but I was determined). I got a call-back a few days later which was great. Unfortunately for me, this was at the beginning of 2020 and of course we all know that a few months in there was no way to move forward for a while. It made me restart my search and come to the decision that it might be best to stay home and try to solve my rhinoplasty issue first. In March 2021 I had a successful revision with a doctor in Switzerland. This great result encouraged me to try to contact the offices of Dr. Marchac again. He specializes in ear surgery, which was on my list as I started having a very uncomfortable downward pulling sensation about three years after the lift. I also hoped he could correct my jowls (this was supposed to be the goal the first time around, but the effect lasted literally a year and then I looked the same as before but with weird ears). I was finally able to get an appointment with him in June of 2022 (he is in demand!), and the meeting was great. This time around, I had done a lot of research and a lot of soul searching (which I advise everyone to do as I had walked in the first time and treated both surgeries like they were simply purchases, which of course they absolutely are not). I had everything written down, I provided photos of how I used to look before any interventions, and also photos of the afters. I had a good feeling about Dr. Marchac, his offices are very nice, and the colleagues of Dr. Marchac are all really really outstanding. Myriam is the first point of contact, she speaks English and is very efficient and organized, as well as being a warm person in general. We planned together that my operation would take place in February of 2023. It seemed like ages away but ended up being a great decision because I had time to prepare myself and also to be sure that I really wanted this. I had the following procedures done in an operation that lasted about 5 hours: Upper and lower blepharoplasty Temporal lift Deep plane face lift Lip lift Fat grafting The recovery was not as quick and easy as my first interventions but this was also a laundry list of procedures. I am so thankful I did not have any complications, and the care that Dr. Marchac and his team provided me with were nothing less than outstanding. He called me on Saturday afternoon after the OP to see how I was doing, which I found remarkable. I stayed in Paris for two weeks, and saw Dr. Marchac approximately every 3 days for checkups. I also hired a private nurse to change my dressings every day and to help me with my eyes (that actually took a while to heal; while there were no complications, my eyes did heal quite slowly in the sense that I had trouble seeing for weeks until everything settled). The lip lifting has made an unbelievable change to my face, and I recommend it highly. I do still have a tiny scar, but I only did one pass from a Fraxel laser, and it was recommended me to do two. The deep plane lifting has made me so happy - I look better than I ever did. My ears look normal now, I do not have any pulling sensation, and there are no visible scars. A friend of mine who is a nurse practitioner was so impressed because she saw nothing, as she told me while pawing through my hair looking for the scars haha. The temporal lift was also a good decision, as I had had a thread lift in my face and temple region in Switzerland in 2021 as a temporary solution for my issue - but it did not help and unfortunately left me with two Frankenstein knobs under my hair at the temple region. Dr. Marchac was able to successfully repair this area and also remove all the threads in my face (which by the way I do not recommend - its too much invasion for a minimal result and also it isnt cheap). Really, all in all, eight months after my surgeries, I can report that I am very happy with Dr. Marchac and the care he provided to me. I can one hundred percent recommend him as an aesthetic surgeon who has the capabilities and skills to fix botches, but also to enhance his patients to look outwardly a lot better than they did before going under his knife.
I've had a rhinoplasty with Dr Marchac a month ago and all I can say is I am thrilled! I came from LA to Paris for the surgery and I am so happy about my choice. From my first virtual consult with him, to meeting him in person, the surgery, and the following appointments, all I can say is that Dr Marchac is an outstanding doctor and a true artist! The result is so natural and elegant. We decided how my nose should look like according to my face and not according to what other people / celebrities' nose look like. This is in my opinion how every surgeon should proceed with plastic surgery. He is also a doctor who is deeply passionate about his practice and who is always there to answer his patients questions and concerns. His assistant, surgical nurse and anesthesiologist are also amazing and the reason why my experience was so smooth and reassuring. The process of organizing the surgery at a distance was so easy and quick thanks to all of them. I give him and his team a 10/10. I'd like to add that the clinic I went to (clinic Eiffel in Paris) was also very good and clean. Staff was lovely and there for me whenever I needed. I recommend!!!
I would highly recommend dr marchak . He is a perfectionist and that’s make the difference ! He will not push you doing something you don’t need and will take time to really judge what is best for you.
Dr Marchac is very attentive and pedagogue, I really enjoyed interacting with him because we feel that he’s passionate about his job. He takes the time to explain the infos, and to know our intentions in order to guide us towards the appropriate solutions. His vision of aesthetics is fresh and contemporary, it allows a beauty enhancement in a natural way. Dr Marchac is also very careful and meticulous, surrounded by a lovely and efficient team ! I am delighted to have met him and I think I will remain true to his advice.
I always wanted to reduce my extended nose wings, still, was very afraid of an artificial outcome. Today, after 3 months of a smooth and painless surgery conducted by Dr Marchac, I am extremely happy and satisfied with the outcome that keeps getting better every day. I cannot stop looking at the mirror, people around me are complementing me without knowing I went through surgery… Best of all, I had two small bumps beneath my eyelids that I complained about while consulting before my surgery, so while operating on my nose, Dr Marchac removed those bumps without even cutting… it was a great plus to my satisfaction. Thank you for a great experience and a natural outcome that I have always dreamt about.
I was very apprehensive at first to resort to surgery to correct my sticking out ear, however I could not have been more happy with the whole process and the result. From my very first consultation, to the post-op calls to ensure that I was recovering well and to answer any questions I may have had, I found Dr Marchac and his team extremely professional, approachable, kind and incredibly skilled. I think that he is very honest and considered in his assesments of what work is needed to be done and I would never worry that he would make me look plastic or not like myself. Although my procedure was just the correction of an ear and did not really alter the composition of my face, the difference it has made in improving the symmetry and balance of my face is fantastic. I think he is one of those rare doctors in this professions that just seeks to subtly enhance existing beauty as opposed to completely change the face itself (although I’m sure if you wanted him to, he could make you an impeccable new face!).
Dr Marchac is very professional and caring. His recommendations were the best and the results have been very impressive. I did filler injections with Botox and hyaluronic acid. I look rested. Younger. The result is very natural. I recommend him strongly!
Reassuring, precise, very professional, Dr. Marchac explained what it was necessary to do to restore radiance and smooth my features. After more than 1h of attentive care with botox and hyaluronic acid, I was delighted with the result and after 3 days, the result is just perfect. In a word, an outstanding professional !
Dear all , I would like to provide some feedback about the surgeon who performed my breast augmentation procedure , Mr Marchac . I have known Mr Marchac for a long time as he is an outstandingly skilled and well-known professional , exporting innovating techniques all around Europe and providing high-standard care. Apart from being naturally talented at what he does, his CV is outstanding. In fact, he has trained in the best Units in Paris under the supervision of world-class surgeons and undertaken several fellowships abroad including a research fellowship at the NYU ( New York) . It has been a privilege and a honour to be his patient because apart from being a fine surgeon, he has exquisite manners and makes you feel at ease all the time. Mr Marchac has listened carefully to all my requests and tailored the surgery around my expectations. Moreover, his team has been lovely to me at all times . His secretary has always been extremely helpful and polite . At first, I was worried about the risks of general anesthesia but felt immediately reassured after a chat with the anesthetist of the team who looks very experienced. The private hospital I was operated in is called Clinique Nescens. It is located in one of the most elegant areas in Paris ( 16ème arrondissement, rue Spontini) and it is just lovely. Elegantly furnished and most importantly clean. The nursing staff who attended me was very helpful and caring at all times , checking on me pre-op and post-operatively regularly without me even asking. My room was just so beautiful , decorated with lovely fresh roses and full of light. I felt extremely spoilt throughout my entire stay at the hospital. Immediate post-op went absolutely fine , I hardly had any pain and recovered reasonably quickly . I was resting during the first few days post-op then slowly and prudently resumed all the ordinary daily tasks and activities . My surgery is fairly recent so I just had a 1 week post-op clinic appointment so far with Mr Marchac which went absolutely fine. I am really happy with the result. I strongly recommend Dr Marchac as a professional if you were to go for surgery. Also , breast augmentation is just one of his several areas of expertise . I am happy to be contacted and to provide further feedback about the procedure and the team , if anyone wishes to hear more about my experience. Regards, Chiara
Hello, Judging by your pictures, you have upper eyelid skin excess and lateral brow descent. Your lower eyelid looks fine and your canthal angle as well, so you don't need a canthoplasty or canthopexy. I recommend an upper blepharoplasty and a lateral brow lift (aka temporal lift). Of course a clinical examination is necessary, but you definitely seem to have a good indication for a surgery, which should fix your problem for a long period of time.
hello, I love facelifts which are by far the most effective treatment for sagginess, but you don’t seem saggy at all on this picture. Your oval is fine, your cheeks are still high up. What I see on this picture is that you look sad and tired, because you are exhibiting the first signs of facial deflation around your eyes and around the mouth. So my advice is to treat that deflation with HA fillers using the MD Codes technique. It will make you look less tired and less sad. And you will probably be able to wait until your 50s for a facelift.
In France, there are currently no drugs or creams that can safely enlarge breast, but if you do invent such a treatment, you will become a billionaire! Some drugs cause a mild breast augmentation as a side effect, but these drugs are prescribed for mental disorders, and hormones (in pills or cream) increase the risk of ovarian and breast cancer. Hyaluronic acid injections are allowed in the buttocks, but not in the breast, and so are other fillers because they can alter the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer (which affects one women out of eight in France). There a many ongoing research on injectables for breast augmentation but it will take at least 5 to 10 years before we see anything safe and effective on the market. So in 2020 surgery is the best option for breast augmentation and schematically we can use 3 techniques depending on your body type and preferences: - breast implants - fat grafting - breast implants + fat grafting (composite BA) A board certified Plastic surgeon will help you decide which technique is best suited for you, and weight adequately the pros and cons. I hope this helps!
hello you are asking a very technical question! Transconjunctival blepharoplasty is a type of lower eyelid surgery. Historically surgeons used to open the lower eyelid through a skin and muscle incision (subciliary incision). That approach could impair the stability of the eyelid, with a risk of ectropion. So it was found many decades ago that a solution to the problem was to avoid cutting the muscle, and approach the fat of the lower eyelid through the conjunctiva (the red tissue located at the inner aspect of the lower eyelid). I use the transconjunctival blepharoplasty in most of my patients to avoid ectropion, and I transpose the fat instead of removing it. I hope this will help.!
Hello Angelena, yes it is possible to inject hyaluronic acid during a deep plane facelift and i do it often in the temples and the chin, but i would avoid injecting the dimples around your mouth. My advice is to wait a month after the deep plane face lift, some of the dimples might be gone thanks to the facelift and then have your injections done in a seated position: your surgeon will be much more precise, because of the position and your ability to smile when you are not under anesthesia ! I hope this helps!
