I came in for a PDO thread lift and cannot be any happier. I am 40+ and my face was beginning to look tired and I had that triangle look to my face. Well, I can say that you see immediate results. Your face is lifted and begins to get better with time once your body starts producing collagen. That inverted triangle look is back and I look refreshed and the effects are only going to get better. I was a little nervous but Dr. Darush comforts you throughout the process and is incredibly gentle. You barely feel a thing. I will definitely be back for other services. Dr. Darush is highly recommended for PDO and other treatments.
I was referred by a family member to Dr. Darush when I decided to get Botox and Fillers for the first time and I’ve never looked back. He is nothing short of amazing. He has incredible bed side manner, is very gentle and works with you to get the best result possible! I’ve never left his office disappointed and I think that says a lot. I’m in my mid fifties and have really started to notice aging in my mid and lower face. Fillers weren’t giving me the result I wanted anymore so Dr. Darush recommended the PDO Threads. I was a little nervous when booking the appointment but felt confident that if he thought it was the best option...I should do it. I could not be more thrilled!!! The procedure didn’t take that long, I was comfortable the entire time and the results are nothing short of miraculous. I look like I’m in my 40s again and the initial results are immediate that only get better with time! I highly recommend Dr. Darush. Not only is he skilled and compassionate but he’s just an overall great guy. Also, the office staff is friendly, kind and helpful. No attitudes!! Updated on 16 Apr 2019: It’s been almost 2 months and I still can’t believe the results. Have received several compliments on how youthful and natural it looks. It literally took 10 years off!! I am planning on doing my neck in June. I’ll update this review with pictures after the neck is done.
I'm 61 and really starting to look haggard...like everything is melting down my face. Ugh. I tried Profound rf, Sculptra and Ultherapy all within the last year and was disappointed in them all. I've always liked the instant gratification of filler so I went to have lip filler again and was asking Dr. Darush what I could do about my melting face and he recommended the PDO Thread Lift. It was very affordable, $1,500 for 3 threads on each side of face so I made an appt. He had already told me that I had scar tissue under one of my cheeks and the scar tissue was attached to my bone and so part of my skin on my cheek was not very flexible. I have no idea how it got there unless it was one of the above stated previous procedures or CO2 Smartskin Fraxel Laser I had about 5 years ago. He put 3 threads in each side which is on the conservative side. (I just want to look 50 again, not 30.) It turns out I had some scar tissue on each side under my cheeks so it was a bit difficult at times for him to get through it with the cannula. It hurt some, but I was expecting it to hurt and it wasn't unbearable. A few times the process did make me a bit queasy for a minute or two. It's just odd feeling these cannula moving under your skin. Then he swipes his hand upward on the skin several times to help the cones lock in which is a bit uncomfortable, and then pulls on the strings that are hanging out of the top of my cheek, which again feels odd...not really painful...just weird. I'm going back to get a few more as soon as I can. These work like fillers work..it's literally instant gratification! When I walked in my house my teenager daughter immediately said she saw a difference. I've taken some Tylenol twice since I had it done yesterday, just because I have one place that is very tender (where the worst of the scar tissue was,) but I have no bruising (again my teenager brought that up because I typically look like I've been in a bar fight when I have anything done). I can also kind of feel a barb poking once in awhile, but it isn't consistent and once I readjust my face position it stops. After all the disappointment I've had with other procedures, I would gladly do this every year for the rest of my life! Updated on 11 Aug 2019: And I was told it lasts about a year. I changed my "Was it Worth It?" from Yes to Not Sure just because I can't be running back every 3-4 months and paying another $1,500 for a threadlift. Probably at my age I need to bite the bullet and get a full-on facelift.
I went to get my lips filled with Juvaderm, but the doctor recommended Restylane. He did my lips and my cheeks...3 vials. Two were Restylane and 1 was Restylane Silk, but I'm not certain what he put where. It looked great afterward, but I noticed within a few hours my lips started aching...very uncomfortably so I took some Tylenol, which I've never had to do after Juvaderm. About 5 hours after the injections my lips started very quickly swelling up. The more I put ice on them the worse they got! The swelling started going away the next day and took a few days. I didn't have any issues with my cheeks at all...they looked great. I'm happy with the results, but from now on I'm only using Juvaderm for my lips.
Hello, based on the photo, which is not very clear, we can tell that you have lots of volume in the mid face. This could be from excessive exercise, or rapid weight loss. You can use the app called AI Aesthetics face simulator, which offers you a complete facial assessment and whether you need fillers and or Botox. It can provide accurate info as to what filler to use as well. Thank you
Thank You for sharing your question. While sleeping, we might be contracting our Glabellar lines unbeknowst to us. Similar to grinding your teeth (bruxism) while sleeping. Glabella (frown) lines occur due to Glabellar muscles and they can be contracting while we are sleeping. Therefore, treating this area with Botulinum toxin such as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin will help minimize this.
Recently there have reported reactions with Moderna COVID vaccine and those who have had fillers. There were total of 3 cases reported having swelling which was treated and resolved. There are no reported reactions or side effects using Botox or any Botulinum Toxins such as Xeomin, Dysport or Jeuveau. It is important to have all your procedures done by a physician for your own protection and follow up treatment if there are issues arising. Physicians are quick to respond to side effects to minimize any damage. Good Luck
Injecting Botulinum toxin directly into the masseter muscle has two benefits, aesthetically as well as medically. By injecting botulinum toxin directly into the masseter muscle (the large muscle that moves the jaw), the muscle is weakened enough to stop involuntary grinding of the teeth and clenching of the jaw. This significantly relaxes the muscle and reduces the wear and tear on the teeth due to grinding. Damage to the TMJ (temporomandibular joint) and headaches should be reduced or eliminated as well. Voluntary movements, such as chewing and facial expressions, are usually not effected at all by Botox, Dysport or Xeomin. Effectiveness of Botulinum Toxin for Bruxism has shown to be very effective. Although botulinum toxin injections are not a cure for bruxism, they can effectively control the uncomfortable symptoms better than a nightguard for some patients. Botulinum toxin used for treating bruxism typically lasts for three to six months. Aesthetically, when Botulinun toxin is injected in the Masseter muscle, it weakens the muscle and decreases the bulginess appearance (wide jaw). This provides the aesthetically pleasing V-Shaped facial features.
Serious side effects have been reported including swelling and rash with Botox. But it is unlikely for the Botox injected one month ago to give you allergic reaction in the lips. It is important to have Botox procedure done at a medical clinic by a experienced Medical Doctor so it can be treated immediately. FDA has reported “Serious and/or immediate hypersensitivity reactions have been reported. These reactions include anaphylaxis, serum sickness, urticaria, soft tissue edema, and dyspnea.
