I was recommended by my GP to go see Dr Adrian Sjarif for my eyes, as they were getting pretty bad and getting smaller as time went by. Dr Sjarif was very caring and took his time to make sure I was comfortable with what I wanted done. I went ahead with my procedure, there was lots of swollen areas in my eyes,I rang the surgery a few times with my concerns, and Dr Sjarif always called me back making sure I was okay and that all the swelling would go down, it has been 9 weeks today since surgery and am really starting to love my new look.

I had a breast reduction and a lift as I was sick of the constant back pain and my body proportion. Before the operation I was a 12 F/G and was hoping for a big C/small D. The operation was done on a Friday afternoon and took 3 hours. I was in a fair bit of pain afterwards as I showed reactions to Endon and it took a while to get the medications rights. Had to stay in hospital for 2 nights but was able to shower the next morning after the operation. I didn't have any drains and my stiches are dissolvable. Came home on Sunday lunch time and stayed in bed for a few hours but otherwise walked around the house without a problem. Had a long shower and washed my hair, I didn't have to wear a bra while I had a shower. Sleeping at night was never a problem, I don't mind sleeping on my back and with the right pillows it was quite easy to manage. From Sunday onwards (2 days after the operation) I started to move more to my side to get a bit more comfortable at night. From Monday onwards I slept on my side every night all night and I love it that my sleeping pattern is almost back to normal. I was back at work on Thursday, 6 days after the operation. I work in the office but I walk around all day and by the end of the day I was exhausted but happy that I managed to get through the day. I didn't tell anyone except my boss and one of my staff members and no one noticed due to the fact that my work shirts are dark grey and quite loose fitting. I started walking by Labrador on Friday, one week after the operation. I am not the fastest when we walk but I walk normal and at least get some kind of exercise. I will have the first revision appointment with my surgeon 3 weeks after the operation, on the 10th January. Until then I need to wear my post surgery bra 24/7. The surgeon told me that I can start with light exercises 3 weeks post op and can go back to my normal routine 6 weeks op. I have been pretty sore and quite swollen around the bottom of my breasts since yesterday and have started to use ice packs to help with the pain. I was only on strong painkillers for 2 days after the operation, then I moved to Panadol and now I am on Nurofen plus. I am very happy with the size and the shapes of my "girls", they look amazing. I couldn't have been any happier and the surgery is my Christmas present to myself. A lot of ladies in this forum wrote the only regret they have is that they waited with the operation for too long and I totally agree. I wish I would have had the procedure years ago. But better late then never :-) Merry Christmas Everyone.

So, Im one of those "blessed" ladies. One of those people that were LUCKY enough to be blessed with boobs from the age of 9 onwards. By the time I was 14 I was a C cup, by the time I was 20 they were an E. I had my son at 24 and they went up to an F, I had my daughter at 29 and ONE of them went up to a G!!! Ive hated my breasts my entire life. Im getting married to an amazing man, and Ive been sooo anxious since we booked our Photographer knowing that my boobs are as big as my head (legit) and that they will be huge on our Wedding day :( Im a Photographer myself, and I know how hard it is to "disguise" large boobs.... On the 10th December 2015 I went to my GP about a rash I had under my breasts, painful, itchy etc. He prescribed a cream for me and we started having a chat. I told him that I had recently lost 5kg but I was finding it hard to loose extra weight because I cant run/exercise heavily with my breasts. We were also discussing my backpain. He was the one who suggested finding out if Breast Reductions were still covered under Medicare...so he wrote me a referral to a local surgeon. Getting home that afternoon I called up and made an appointment with Dr Sjarif for the following week. Going in for my appointment I was anxious...CRAAZY anxious. Met with the Dr and he was LOVELY!!! Suuuper lovely. He measured me, we spoke about the surgery and he let me know it was no longer covered fully, I could claim a small rebate, but not much. I left there in tears...I didn't think we could afford the surgery...till I got home and told my Fiance and he said "Why are you crying, call up and book in, we can afford this!" WHHHAAAAT!!! YYYAAAAAYYYYYY!!!! So the following day I call up and they email me out the paperwork to fill in for a "Formal Quote". Once that is done and signed, they call me to let me know I can expect a phone call in the next few days with a little more information on how we proceed :) So less than a week later I get the phone call Ive been waiting for! 17th Feb at the local Private hospital that is a less than 5 Minute drive from me!! WOOOHOOOO On Thurs 7/1/16 I went to the hospital to fill in my admission forms...and yesterday I went shopping for my "recovery wardrobe"...Peter Alexander Bambi PJ's come at me!!! Now that Im only 38 days out from my proceedure its all feeling real...I can't believe its happening! I have all my family and friends making that "I'll come lay next to you and they can put what they take out of you into me!" Joke (haha right!!) Im so lucky to have such a supportive network. Our 3 year old will be staying with my Mother in Law for 2 weeks, and our Son will be staying with my parents (he'll go to school during the day and my Mummy will come watch Netflix with me and give me meds haha) Soooo excited!!! Best part of the whole thing, is knowing that I wont look back at our Wedding photos, and be depressed with my body!! Updated on 21 Feb 2016: WOW!!! What a change!!! I feel amazing. Ok, so 5 days ago I was admitted to the hospital, given my gown and told to go have a light shower. They said it could be a few hours before I go in....by the time I got into my gown and went to the bathroom, they were ready for me! So I said goodbye to my Mum and Partner and got wheeled through to surgery. I met my anethetist and my Surgeon measured me up. Cannot praise him enough! He always makes me feel soooo comfortable! Next thing I know, Im waking up...I look down and they're gone! My girls who have plagued me with hell my whole life, were gone! Tears....lots and lots and lots of tears! The nurses talked me through it and when I was ready the wheeled me back to my room. My partner and Mum were waiting there for me with my Dad and my son. I dont remember too much except for getting a few kisses....then I woke up a few hours later when the nurses were taking obs :) I was feeling ok, just tired. At about 9pm I woke up and felt like my heart was racing and I couldn't breathe, I called the nurses and turns out I was having a massive panic attack :( They said sometimes it happens from the anesthetic :( I had another smaller one a few hours later. I was also unable to pee so they inserted a catheter. At about 10am, the Surgical assistant came in to have a chat about how surgery went and to remove my dressings!!! I cried. Again!! My surgeon is an ARTIST!!! Hes managed to take me from a G down to a large C to a D. They kept me in an extra night just to adjust my pain meds and make me a lil more comfy I will post photos when Im feeling a little more up to it, at the moment, the swelling on the sides of my breasts is the sorest, but still only a 3-4 out of 10 :) Updated on 10 Mar 2016: So ladies, I know how much I LOVED looking through everyones photos while I was on the wait...so figured Id return the favour :D

Disappointed by my blephoplasty. Told I would have a hidden scar and no one would notice. Woke up and I have these long scars that go past my eyebrows and I already had low brows to begin with and I feel the lateral part of my brow is sitting even lower, giving me a sad look. Dr said he would mark me up before surgery and I could see what he was going to do but he did not do that. I wouldn’t have gone through this procedure had I known it would leave scars like this on my face.
