32 Years Old Divorce Mother of Two.

I have always been overweight. I once was motivated to get in shape in 2014 and did great but 2015 my mother had a stroke and my marriage was going for a turn. In 2015 I left Nantucket ma and went to Connecticut to help my mom, during that time going through my divorce and stop working out. By the end of 2015 I went from 190 to 245, then entering 2016 I reached 296 which I maintained that weight while seeing a doctor. I had so many health issues was unbelievable . March 8, 2017 was my surgery date after seeing all the different doctors and seven nutritionist appointment it was worth it. My insurance cover my surgery.

Ive been on here lurking since the end of last year, looking at everyones stories. I have been doing everything i need for my insurance to approve the surgery and it was finally approved on 9/6/17. My surgery date is 10/4/17. Its has been a full year working on this. ???????????? im so happy, ive been over weight since i was little, ive tried countless diets, pills, exercises, etc and nothing has worked. This is the heavyest ive ever been. I am super excited to start this journey with you guys! Updated on 14 Sep 2017: My pre-op is on Monday 9/18/17. Im going to be do a 2 week liquid diet before surgery. ive tasted the protein shakes and the one I will be getting is the Bariatric advantage meal replacement that my surgeons office sells. The taste is pretty bad. it leaves a bad after taste in my mouth, but I guess its what must be done. Ive done countless research and have been reading everyone elses reviews and im hoping im one of the ones that does the surgery and doesn't have any complications, but one can only hope right. Well I will update after I see my surgeon on Monday. Updated on 20 Sep 2017: So my pre-op went good on 9/18/17. They told me to start my pre-op diet today. I am on a full liquid diet for 12 days and than a clear liquid diet for 2 days. I think for me this might be the worst part. Im drinking the Bariatric Advantage Meal replacement shakes. I got the chocolate one. Its pretty good. It does make me full. I am allowed 2 plain yogurts as well but have not tried those yet. So far no cravings but than again, its my first day so ill update sometime next week to see how im doing than. Current weight: 262 lbs Updated on 28 Sep 2017: So yesterday I saw the anesthesiologist, just to talk about what they will be doing. I have 3 more days of the Full Liquid diet and the last 2 days will be my Clear Liquid diet. I have lost 8 lbs so far. Its been really hard on this liquid diet. I did cave and ate a soup on Sunday the 24th but, im pretty sure it wont effect anything but now it is getting easier to deal with as im able to control my cravings, only because I now see the numbers going down on the scale :). pre-op weight 262 current weight 254 Updated on 5 Oct 2017: So i am 1 day out from being sleeved. When i came in the took my weight which was 250 lbs. Yay. So im doing good so far. No nausia thank god. Am walking around as much as possible, they have me drinking Isopure here at the hospital its not so bad. Definitely on pain meds, that i do have, pain. Not really really bad, but pain none the less. Pain is mostly around the insicion where they took the stomach out n gas pains also. Doc will be discharging me tomorrow, and we will be going from there. Im very ichy also, must be from all the pain meds. Pain is starting to subside though. Hopefully by tomoorow, it feels much better. Ill put more pics down assoon as feel better. No regrets. Updated on 21 Nov 2017: So it has been 1 month and about 3 weeks since I had my surgery. Everything went good. I was doing good the first couple of weeks and than my energy level went down really bad, I don't know why, but everything is better now. I did get a little depressed for a quick second there, do to the food issue. Its crazy how much you will miss food, but good in a way, I don't over eat ever, because if I do I will get this crazy pain in my stomach and ill feel like I have to throw up. TMI I know but other than that lifes been good so far. Pre-op weight:262 Current weight: 226 ;))))
