Rhinoplasty surgery is an extremely complex procedure that can be greatly transformative. I love the beautiful moment patients experience when they see their new nose for the very first time. I use a closed rhinoplasty technique, which means all incisions are hidden in the nostrils. This method eliminates the need for painful packing to be placed inside the nose and avoids visible scarring after healing. My approach to this surgery is time-tested and honed by having done thousands of rhinoplasties over more than 30 years in private practice. In addition to prioritizing patient outcome and comfort, safety is of the utmost importance to me. For example, each rhinoplasty patient is placed under general anesthesia that’s administered by a board-certified physician anesthesiologist from Swedish Hospital. My staff and I at my Seattle and Portland practices are fully invested in our patients’ recovery and are always available.

Face and Neck Lifts

I think of a facelift as a face and neck lift because the procedure rejuvenates both in combination.
It tightens loose skin and muscles on the face and neck, lifts the jowls, and removes fatty deposits in the neck. I’m passionate about this procedure because I have seen the happiness it brings to patients when they’re able to “look as young as they feel.” The approach I take to a facelift is to place incisions both in front of and behind the ear; I do this in an inconspicuous fashion that will be minimally detectable after healing has occurred. Placing incisions this way doesn’t raise the hairline, either, avoiding the “windblown” effect. Safety is of the utmost importance to me, as is patient comfort. Eyelid Enhancement

Cosmetic blepharoplasty improves the appearance of upper and lower eyelids. 2After undergoing this procedure, patients no longer appear “tired” when they look in the mirror—and that goes a long way toward restoring their confidence. The goal for this procedure is to achieve a rested, youthful appearance, while making the eyelids still look natural. An incision for an upper eyelid procedure is made following the natural eyelid crease. After the precise measurement of fat and excess skin is removed, the incision is closed with dissolvable sutures. The lower eyelid procedure involves two parts: for excess fat and puffiness, the incision is made on the inside of the lower lids and the fat is removed. If there’s excess skin on the outside portion of the lower lids, I’ll remove a small pinch of skin just below the lash line. After about four weeks, the incision is nearly unnoticeable. Dr Portuese and his team were very friendly and responsive throughout the entire process. I had my surgery almost two weeks ago and I already love the shape of my nose even with some residual swelling. The operation went quickly and my recovery was pretty seamless.
