In July 2018 (2 wks after having my son) I was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer. I had a thyroidectomy Aug 18radioactive iodine Oct 18. Since then all labs have been normal & my thyroglobulin is undetectable. My endo cant officially say I am cancer free until after my 1 year scan. I would really like to move forward w/ surgery as a reward to myself after going through the hardest year of my life. I am trying to decide if I should go for it now or wait until after my scan in October.
I am in the Denver area and I am heavily considering breast augmentation. I also have Hashimotos Thyroiditis. Does this condition prevent me from getting saline or silicone breast implants? Is fat transfer a better option?
I am considering implants but read an article on'celebrities who regret their implants' and a lot of them state the implants gave them bouts of sickness. I am really surprised by this, no surgeon I have consulted with has ever mentioned it. Because that is what some people claim?
I am scheduled to have a Laparoscopic R Adrenalectomy & R Thyroid Lobectomy, in mid October. I am in the research phase for breast augmentation (preferably endoscopic transaxillary sub-muscular silicone implants). I would like to combine my recoveries and either do them at the same time or one after the other. Is this a possibility if I find a PS that operates at that hospital (Swedish FH). What would your feelings or recommendations be if you were my surgeon?
