Mommy makeovers are one of the most rewarding surgeries. I have done thousands of mommy makeovers over the last 15 years. Dramatic changes occur when both the breasts and body together are transformed. Safety is my highest priority. I take extra precautions. Patients wear Ted hose, leg squeezers, and are encouraged to walk right away to decrease the risk of blood clots. We frequently also use Lovenox for added protection against blood clots. Patients are frequently kept overnight for comfort and safety reasons. A registered nurse can evaluate the patient throughout the night and give needed fluids, pain medication, monitor vital signs, and help with post operative care. Cosmesis and proportions are also key in getting the best outcome. Breast, waist and hip ratios are taken into consideration to help patients achieve their goals. Having an artistic eye and a lot of experience has allowed me to help numerous mothers achieve their pre-baby body back and in some cases, even better.

Breast Surgery

Breast surgery is my specialty. I have placed thousands of implants over the past 15 years and have many very happy and satisfied patients. A thorough dimensional analysis of each patients’ unique anatomy allows me to make appropriate suggestions of around 8-10 different options. They are then guided through the process of trying on implants to get closer to the actual implant that will be used. Safety is the number one priority. Also, prevention of complications as well. Implants are inserted in a “no touch“ technique using a Keller funnel and nipple shields. The implants are bathed in a quadruple antibiotic solution during implantation. This dramatically decreases infection and capsular contracture. I have never had an implant infection in 15 years. The incidence of capsular contracture in my practice is well below the national average. I lock in the new inframmamary fold by using permanent sutures to secure the fascial layers to prevent implant displacement.

Abdominoplasty

Over the past 15 years I have personally performed thousands of successful tummy tucks with a fantastic outcome. Finesse with multiple aspects of the surgery is what sets my results apart. The belly button! This is perhaps the most important detail that needs to be done correctly. My technique creates an natural innie look with a mostly hidden scar. Liposuction is use along the midline and waistline in a way that leaves the abdomen looking very natural with appropriate hills and valleys, giving a young defined torso. Getting the scar low enough so that the new vertical height of the mons is attractive is also key. Using quilting sutures decreases fluid accumulation and allows for a quicker recovery. Often, along with the removal of unwanted fat, some of that fat can be transferred to the buttocks and/or breasts, or used in facial rejuvenation concurrently. This allows for a much better full body shape instead of only the torso.

I recently had a breast re augmentation switching my 14 year old saline implants over to silicone.
