Every winter I suffer with chronic sinusitis and each year it is getting worse. At the moment I experience 2-3 attacks a day, mostly in the evening and through the night which I am sure is related to the electric heating. The pain is so bad it wakes me up each night. I am currently taking steroids as advised by my GP. I have a very deviated septum which makes breathing and talking almost impossible. Will a Septoplasty help reduce the sinusitis, headaches and feeling of constant pressure?
After a month of throbbing pain on the left side of my nose with numbness on my left cheek and a feeling of pressure my doctor said it is a nerve in my cheek. Will this go away? Its been 37 days since my surgery. I also have a small visible suture (absorbable) where the incision is an a small area that hurts.
I have underwent Septoplasty two weeks before due to Deviated septum. Now the pain has reduced and last day, The surgeon took off the remnants of the stitches inside my nostrils and cleaned my nose. Now my nostrils are clean but still I feel difficulty in breathing through both the nostrils at a time. When the left nostril is opened (can breathe very smoothly), I feel burning pressure and block in the right nostril. After some time, the same is happening vice versa. Is it normal
Im 20 now and when at age 7, a bump on my nose bridge started to grow to where it is quite visible from a side view of my face and you can see a sharpish point on the sides of the bump; also my left nostril is blocked inside. With any form of pressure on it, I get a tickle-y feeling like I'm about to sneeze and a really painful headache follows. I only noticed the pain when I tried wearing any pair of glasses but now it could be the lightest pressure that triggers a weighty, lengthly headache.
I have a large septal perforation that is causing me severe migraines, sinus inflammation and pressure, difficult breathing , vision is blurry and am all messed up from my equilibrium being off. i have a constant nasal drip yet I can't find one doctor who will help me or knows how to repair this. I have been to several doctors, surgeons who say that it cannot be fixed... so what can i do about this ..i just can't live this way.there has to be something that can be done , someone who can help me .
Day 2 of post-op I cleaned my nose with hydrogen peroxide and a Q-tip. I cleaned around the rim of the nose inside and out very lightly. 30 minutes later my nose started to bleed in little drops running out of my nose. I was unable to get the bleeding to stop overnight although it slowed down significantly. I woke up this morning to a crust filled nose and a good amount of pressure towards the bridge of my nose. Did I cause a preferation ???
I had a septoplasty surgery and the perpendicular plate of the ethmoid and vomer were removed. If they are part of the anatomy of the cranium, they must perform some function. Was there removal necessary? Do they have nerves linked to other part of the head that can cause pressure headaches or other head sensations?
I had a Septoplasty & Turbinate reduction early September. Since the surgery I still had issues breathing. One side of my nose would always get clogged while sleeping. My doctor told me to wait and that it should get better because of the swelling. Well, last week it started to get worse. My breathing is worse then before the surgery and I have constant sinus pressure/congestion and getting headaches. I went to see my doctor and he said to wait 6 months and it MAY GET BETTER. Is this normal?
I have a 3D scan from my dentist..see below. My symptoms include: tiredness during day, headaches after 8 hours of sleep, congestion, and pressure. Also I take Flonase daily. Went to an old school ENT and he recommended taking my tonsils out?!?
I recently had a deviated septum and inferior and middle turbinate reduction. I was only in pain for 2 days with very minimal bleeding, which is great! I can't make any sudden movements because I'm always so dizzy. I have slight head pressure, which comes and goes. I can barely hear and my ears are constantly popping. Is it because of the stints in my nose? Thanks.
