I am a 42 year old woman. At 12 I got a hideous sebaceous infection on my nose which left me with a scar + a bump. When I was 23 I had a plastic surgeon try and fix it - he only left me with more of a bump and an additional scar. At 32 I had some filler put above the scar which smoothed out the area somewhat but that didnt last long. I repeated it twice before seeing another specialist who 2 yrs ago told me a threadlift would solve my woes. Now I am left with a bulbuous tip, still a scar + bump
Ive gotten PCL threads in my nose for about five months now. Im considering on getting a Rhinoplasty procedure done, the doctor said he might have to remove my threads during surgery. Will this removal cause any permanent damage to my nose? The threads I had were barbed.
I thought I had a clogged blackhead because it was so deep and dark, but it was located at the tip of my nose. It was hard to extract since I had tiplasty where they use ear cartilage to build my tip. It stayed for the whole month and it bugged me at lot because it was a the center of my nose which was very noticeable. I ended up trying to extract it and found out it was actually NOT a clogged blackhead. Instead a white plastic-like thread/stitch/suture came out. I am freaking out please help
May 2019: Inserted 8 threads in my nose to make it looks higher. And now, I am planning to do Rhinoplasty on 1st November 2019. I've visited 3 surgeon: 2 of them said they can do the removal of threads in my nose and then proceed with rhinoplasty. But only 1 surgeon said I need to go for removal of threads first, and then wait for my nose to recover from scar tissues (for approximately 3 months) then only can proceed for rhinoplasty. I am now confuse, which one should I choose.
I got rhinoplasty and alar reduction done in Korea 4 weeks ago. I got my alars cut and today I noticed a tiny white bump on the outside of my nostril where it was cut. I thought it was dry skin or a clogged pore so I tried pulling it out but it doesn't budge. Now it looks more like the end of a thread. Is this threading from stitches or something? What should I do? It's hard to contact my surgeon in Korea (that's just how they are with foreign patients I guess).
Had 1 full rhinoplasty 7 years ago and 1 columellaplasty 1 year ago, still unhappy with the length of the nose and especially the hanging columella. I was suggested PDO threads to lift the tip of the nose without any risk (the dr said). Is that possible/ recommendable? Thank you.
Hi I just had my op last week!! Yesterdey the nurse took my cast off. My nose is still blocked but i saw a whitish string sticking out my left nostril. I havnot yet touched but wondering what it could be. Looks like a thread, feels like material thread. Thnks
