Hi! I had a primary rhinoplasty almost exactly a year ago. From the moment I had the surgery, I noticed that my nose would drip whenever I looked down, or did any sort of walking/exercise in cold weather. 6 months later, I went back to get a tweak with my original surgeon, and when I showed him the dripping, he scheduled a CT scan. The results came back and its not CSF. I have seen an ENT in Boston who confirmed the same. Have to carry tissues everywhere. I hate this. Help please.
I had a septorhinoplasty 5 years ago, then developed a perforation which was fixed a year later . Since then I have noticed my right nostril will run clear watery fluid occasionally if I bend over or will just run in general for no reason. It is not constant but does happen quite frequently. ACould this be a CSF leak? My left nostril rarely runs.
I am 13 months post rhinoplasty that involved straightening my septum and reducing the size of my nose. I never had any sinus or other nasal issues pre surgery. Since the rhinoplasty I have had a near constant runny nose with discharge that has some blood mixed in. I also have clumps of mucus break free from deep in my nasal area. My surgeon was an ent/facial plastics. I saw another medical ent who thinks I have sinusitis and gave me some sprays that didn't help. Could the surgery have caused this issue?
My surgery was on Sunday, and my doctor told me to use a syringe to spray saline serum into my nose 4x a day. This makes my nose run and im always using a tissue to gently pat the outside bottom of my nostrils. Around one of the stitches on my right nostril there is a small red bump but no pain or pus or anything. What could this be? Also, i am on antibiotics.
Its been one week after my rhinoplasty surgery and about 3 days since the cast was taken off and i feel like a have a runny nose but i don't. It feels slimy but when i blow my nose there is nothing . Is it normal and if so when will it go away?
I'm looking into a open rhinoplasty but has extreme issues breathing through my nostrils as well as a runny nose for a few years now. I don't know where to start or what questions to ask reguarding insurance. I currently have BlueCross of Illinois traditional PPO through my father and Aetna through my husband.
I had rhinoplasty a year and half ago and a fix six months ago. I have constantly a runny nose on one side. I don't know what it is and my surgeon I refuse to see. I have had a ct scan and mri since. Could this be CSF or would the neurologist have caught this from my brain scans? I don't really get head aches. Just dizziness and leaking of my nose at times. I am so scared I have CSF now. Help please!
