I've read literature on rhinoplasty, and it seems the consensus is that large pores and oily skin may compromise results. My skin is quite oily (almost like an oil slick sometimes) and my pores were stretched due to poor skincare in the past. I'm currently on tretinoin, but I could also undergo microneedling and salicylic acid treatment. Should I do this before or after my rhinoplasty or does it not matter?
I wanted to know if you tell your patients to get a facial before surgery or if you recommend any skin care regimen before their rhinoplasty. My skin is on the oily side, read a lot of people complaining that their skin has been oilier (even though they're not oily to begin with) after their rhinoplasty. I want to avoid as much complications as I can. I have huge pores on my nose. from what I understand I may form a Polly beak deformity.
Ive always wanted a nose job and hated my nose. I have extremely large pores and oily kin however and I wonder if that would change my outcome? Whenever I talk about getting one people say oh youre nose is fine, what are you talking about?!, yet its the first thing people insult me about in other circumstances.
I got my dorsal hump removed and septoplasty. I gained large pores and black heads on my nose, and before my rhino I never had such large pores on my nose and never had black heads before ever in my entire life. Will my skin go back to normal on my nose or will my pores remain large?
I plan to get a rhinoplasty early 2018. My nose has larger pores (see photos) on it that I'd like to have cleared up/made smaller permanently. 1) Is this possible? If so, what would be the best treatment? 2) Should I do this before or after the rhinoplasty?
I'm a senior in high school, and I would like to get my nose done in the summer after I graduate before I go to college. I'm sure I want this procedure done, but my skin is the only thing that is holding me back. I have very large pores and a history of acne. I'm not only embarrassed, but worried about the results. What can I expect as far as results, and what can I expect of my skin? Is there anything I can do to improve my skin before surgery? I already use retin-a and take Spironolactone.
