It has been two years since my septorhinoplasty. After the operation, the nurse quickly and with pressure removed the packing from inside my nose, after that for a while I had complete nasal congestion and also severe runny nose while eating. My nose is still almost blocked and I have a runny nose when I eat or in cold weather. Can removing the nasal packing forcefully and quickly damage the tissue? Or was the tissue damaged during surgery? Is vasomotor rhinitis a complication of surgery???
Ive gotten PCL threads in my nose for about five months now. Im considering on getting a Rhinoplasty procedure done, the doctor said he might have to remove my threads during surgery. Will this removal cause any permanent damage to my nose? The threads I had were barbed.
Sleeping position after septorhinoplasty. I often find myself waking up with my nose buried into my pillow. Can this cause structural damage to my nose? I am also 2 years post septorhinoplasty. Thank you
Good day. I went to see my ENT and when she examined my nose she used a metal tool to pry open my nostrils widely and she lifted my tip right up to see inside using this tool. Could this manouveringhave caused any structural damage to my nostrils and tip? I am almost 2 years post septo rhinoplasty (I did have major tip work done to lift it up). Thank you
Hi, its been 10/11 months since my rhinoplasty surgery. Unfortunately, I took a hit to the side of my nose and was just wondering how easy it was to damage a rhinoplasty this far along after the surgery? It was slightly swollen for a couple of days but seems to be okay now. Thanks!
I had an acne breakout and developed an icepick looking scar on the bridge of my nose. Theyre new and have been there for a week but Id like to reverse the damage as much as I can. Im also going to have a rhinoplasty procedure (dorsal hump reduction and tip) done within 2 months. Would a nose job help in improving the appearance of the scar by stretching of the skin? Otherwise what can I do to improve how it looks? Thank you!
I had a open septoplasty / rhinoplasty 7 months ago First off my nose is still crooked and he did not adjust my nostrils as requested The nostrils one is higher and they are Second is I developed a bump right above the top on left side Its a small pimple like bump but is not sore and will not go away Third my hand slipped with an object in it and in unfortunately hit the left side of my tip My tip has still been completely stiff 7 month post op I now have a dent . I had my rhinoplasty (its a revision rhinoplasty) about 6-7 months ago and yesterday when I was eating a salad I accidentally bit hard on an olive pit with my back teeth (molars). I felt pressure in my nose/mouth area, it felt like the same pressure felt like when doing exercise like pushups for example. Could this affect my nose somehow?
Hello! I had a closed rhinoplasty nine (almost 10) months ago. One side of my tip is still very swollen. Today and two days ago, I accidentally touched the tip of my nose a bit harsher than usual (it was so light you can't even call it hit) and I felt a weak pain. My nose didn't become red or more swollen. Neither does it still hurt. And the appearance of my nose didn't change. I'm still very afraid I could have caused any damage. Is it possible to still cause damage? Thank you!
I have family that gets very touchy and some of them have a habit of pinching/squeezing other peoples nose as a way of joking. They did that to me last summer but I am going to have a rhinoplasty and will see them 3 months after. I wont tell them about my surgery. Can they cause damage to my cartilage 3 months after if they keep pinching and squeezing my nose?
