Hello! Im a little over 1 year post rhinoplasty. My nose shape has changed and Im wondering if it is swelling or if this is how my nose is going to look like now? It doesnt look like how it use to after the few months following cast removal and it has been fluctuating for the past year. I also have this bump on the tip of my nose Im wondering if it will go away or if it needs to be surgically reduced? They lifted my tip because I had a flat nose, he didnt use cartilage from my ear or rib.
I had Rhinoplasty to "straighten" my nose. I just got my cast off and it is clearly not straight. If a nose looks crooked when the cast is removed one week after rhinoplasty, does that necessarily mean that the nose will be crooked when the swelling is gone? Or could it just mean that the swelling is uneven? I just pray that when the swelling finally goes away that it will reveal a straighter nose than what I am seeing now.
Is it strange that my doctor did not remove my cast a week later ( his nurse did) and didnt see me till 6 weeks later for the first time after surgery? My nose has not turned out well and im close to a year post op. I am thinking back on all the red flags before and after surgery and am realizing that he did not remove my cast or speak to me. I thought it was routine but none of my friends had that experience. No photos either.
I had a rhinoplasty almost a 1.5 years ago now. after I got my cast off I noticed indents on either side of my nose and a ridge under the tip of my nose. My doctor said it was just swelling and it should go away. only one of the indents improved. I asked my doctor at my 1 year mostly out of structural concerns and he told me not to worry. Aesthetically they bother me sometimes as well. I'm 5'9 120 lbs 25 y/o. I just at to get another opinion if I should worry/ if there's anything to improve them
I had rhinoplasty a year ago, my nose started to peel off immediately after my cast was removed and it's still peeling off. I tried peelings, pore strips(I was desperate), moisturizers... Is this something that I should be worried about or would it be better with time? Thanks!
My nostrils were wide & tip droopy. My surgeon stated I have thick skin. Surgeon performed weir incision for nostrils and tongue and grove method on my tip. He stated he had to overcorrect my tip due to the droopiness of my nose. After cast removal my nose never looked normal. Im so embarrassed to be seen in public. Reached out to him several times but he says I need to be patient; in his experience the retraction will improve over time. If not Plan B. He will go in and lower the suture.
Is it normal to not have in-person follow-up after rhinoplasty? The surgeon saw me at 1 week on the day of cast removal, and said to send in photos 6 weeks post-op. It doesn't seem like he plans to ever see me in person for follow-up and I doubt he'll even look at the photos at 6 weeks. It seems like in-person follow-up for something like a rhinoplasty should be necessary?
I had a Rhinoplasty almost two years ago. After a week of surgery, I started getting very dizzy. My surgeon ripped my cast off significantly harder than I've seen other patients taking there's off. Even now, the right side of my nose feels like it will flare up, becoming tender, start feeling pressure in my head and having dizzy spells where I feel like I don't even want to get up. Please whatever advice you have I will take. I need to have a normal life again...
I had a septorhinoplasty, 1 week post op I had the inner tube and outer cast removal. The force he used when vacuuming my nasal passages was horrific. Traumatizing to say the least. The cast was removed he said I had an uncomplicated surgery, said come see him in one month then left the room. I was still laying flat on the table! He did not show me my nose, allow me to ask questions. Is this normal??? Even when you wax your eyebrows they hand you a mirror to see and discuss the results.
