Hi! I am about eight months post-op. Around the six month mark, I noticed a bump around my supratip area. I thought it might be scar tissue, but my surgeon told me its not swelling or scar tissue. He told me that my nose was very crooked before surgery, so that cartilage shifted back, and that I should massage it. We also injected some steroid. Now, about two months later, its much worse. Is this truly cartilage? Do I need revision? My surgeon said its noticeable to the average person.
I had a rhinoplasty 6 months ago (deviated septum, dorsal hump, big droopy tip). Looked great straight after, but 2 months post op a supratip bump appeared. Since then everything has gone progressively worse. Got a microdose of cortisone at 4 months post op but did not help. The bump is rock hard and very protruding, there is an indented area above it (visble from sides) and the bridge is uneven. What could be wrong and how can it be fixed? Surgeon wants to do a revision at 9 months post op.
I had revision rhinoplasty six months back. My nostrils are looking asymmetric and also the alar cartilage placed appears to be raised. I am not sure whether this is swelling or scar formation? Does it improve over time or do I need a correction?
Its been 1.5 years since my septic-rhinoplasty and Ive been waiting for a while now for my top swelling to go down. I understand I have thick skin and it will take a while for my tip to go down especially but it the supra tip is making my tip look big while my bridge is low so it looks weird. But I dont know if this is a c complication or just swelling. I think its swelling or scar tissue because when I press down its pretty squishy still. Its worse when I smile and the tip drops.
Had severe swelling and got steroid injections at 4.5 months which helped along the bridge. However, the Supratip area (I think) also feels flat and appears to have an indent especially when I smile. I also can clearly see that the tip is more bulbous than pre op and I'm concerned about the results over all.
I had rhinoplasty over 7 months ago. I got kenalog shot tu supratip 7 weeks ago and develop radix irregularities and left side deformity. Is this high lateral cartilage collapse and roof deformity? I have 4 dents on radix from rasping. If so, how I can fix it? I mean what needs to be done during a revision?
Im one year post op and my nose still appears swollen at the top but I cant help but think this is my final result. 10 days post op I had this beautiful nose that I couldnt be happier with !! So what happened?? Male Age : 46 60 190 lbs Thick skin
My revision septorhinplasty is 7 months ago. Reason was again deviated septum and supratip fullness (soft tissue). Unfortunately the relevant supratip region is again slightly konvex (swollen). To manage swelling and try to prevent manifesting scar tissue, I try to tape the nose as much as possible. Does the slight tape-pressure on the nose bridge harm the septum, causing another deviation?
