Hi diva222. I had Zeltiq in Melbourne and was told the same thing-1 session only required. I couldn't see any results at all. When I told the centre about it they talked me into having another session. I did it reluctantly as I felt like I had already wasted enough money. Anyway I did have a second treatment and have noticed that this time, my stomach bulge has clearly reduced. Even my daughter noticed it. If you can afford one more session, I would give it a try, and then you will know for sure if it works for you. I think most people need at least 2 sessions.

If you are thin then there is of course less fat to freeze and the results are more subtle but you should still see a difference. The Zeltiq machine is very easy to identify. You can check it on line and during the procedure you could have followed the progress of the treatment on the machine screen. Your abdomen should have felt very cold. When the device is removed after one hour the area treated looks like a stick of butter beneath the skin. If you didn't experience this than you might have been fooled. Zeltiq sells their machines only to dermatologists and plastic surgeons. That is also something to think of. Best Wishes.

I used the zeltiq. I was very slim at the time, I had no result and have not had a child. Others echo the sentiment. I do not agree. It is a scam and a way to keep gouging money from people hesitant about liposuction.

We have seen remarkably consistent improvement in patients like you, provided that the fat is actually fat, and not instead a loose abdominal wall muscle after childbirth or fat that is actually inside the abdomen.
But you do have to give it the full 4 months to determine if you have had results. Some patients see results sooner, but some don't until the end of the 4 month period.
When did you have your treatment?

I too had 1 treatment (in Melbourne, Australia) 7 months ago on my tummy area. Absolutely no change whatsoever. I understand HLMelb that, as a minimum, perhaps 2 treatments are required, but I spent $1,600 on one treatment and not prepared to risk another $1600, especially if it doesn't make a difference or, if it does, the change is subtle! I went to a dermatologist and the procedure was carried out by a nurse. Yes, I had that cold solid lump on my tummy after the treatment plus weeks of tingling sensation (I was hoping that this was a sign that it was working - the fat cells were being destroyed, ha!). Might also add that a few years ago too I spent months undergoing the opposite type treatment - the heat frequency one, that too is a great money spinner for those flogging it! If I had the courage, I'd undergo lipo, as I think that's the only solution for stubborn areas that don't budge even with diet and exercise.
Hi diva222 -- I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for you. Did you feel a really interest sucking feeling when the machine was first put on, followed by a "frozen butter"-type feeling afterwards? I'm thinking maybe it wasn't administered properly.
