Hello, thought I would give a quick update since it's been a while. I am having scar revision on Thursday the 13th. Dr. Is going to lower my scar, and smooth it out in spots. Now onto the good news! I love my new body! I gained weight after surgery and was up to 142 pounds. That's the most I had ever weighed besides when I was pregnant. I went to my family dr and did bloodwork but everything came back normal. My family dr. Told me it was because I was getting older and metabolism changes and not to worry about it. This was in October. Well....5 months later I am back down to 127!!! I'm so excited!! I have been eating healthy and working out the last 4 months. In truth I think the lipo from surgery caused my weight gain. I have decided to also get juviderm injections in my lips, and under my eyes on the 13th. Plastic surgery is addicting!! I hope everyone is doing well and wow has it really been. 10 months??!! I would post pics but I cracked my phone and of course the crack is on the camera. New phone soon as well new pics.

I went to two plastic surgeons. The first one did not explain things and was rushed. After meeting Dr. Shaw I felt comfortable immediately and knew he was the PS for me.

Exciting for a revision! Is the dr able to lower your scar because you gained and lost weight and skin stretched?
No my skin didn't stretch it stayed tight even after the gain from surgery and now back to normal. He is going to make my scar lower he said he couldn't take much more off because I don't have much extra skin. It bothered me though so he agreed to do it for free ! :)
Awesome!! I go to my dr next week to talk about my scar and of it's possible to lower it. I don't have any lose skin so I didn't know if it's possible. Did your dr tell you how he can lower it then? I would love to know in case I can bring this info in to him. Thanks!
No he didn't but he said that I had very little extra skin but he can still lower it. I'm not sure how but I didn't ask. I was just excited that he said he would do it. He told me he will use a local and cut into the old scar and pull down as much as he can. I will keep you posted I go next Thursday. But you may have already talked to your dr by then.
Oh ok. That sounds awesome! I wish my dr will do the same! Fingers crossed he will do something! He can do it all with a local? You don't have to go into the OR again and be put under?
My PS gave me the option of either local or under anesthia. If I went under that would cost me. Most people do it under a local he said it's not a big deal, and I will be fine with a local.
Nice!! I will be looking for your update!! Good luck to you!!
Good luck on your revision tomorrow!! I can't wait to hear how it all goes and how your dr lowers your scar! What time do you go in?
Any updates? I am looking into plastics this fall!

10 weeks po pic

Sorry about the delay on updated pics. My family and I went to Padre Island for a week. It was a blast!! I love the ocean. I also started doing Zumba this week. I made it through the full hour! I was not expecting to since I had not worked out for 4 months. But I left Zumba class feeling fantastic. I tried to do Turbokick but that is too intense so I will have to wait a bit longer. I love turbo so I hope it won't be too much longer. Hope everyone is doing well.

Question. Seeing by your pics, is your scar a tad higher and do you wear a 2 piece? I am having troubles right now feeling that my incision is too high for bikini bottoms.
My scar is higher then what I wanted. I do still wear two pieces though as long as they are not skimpy my incision is for the most part covered. My incision is higher on one side because of swelling but it will even out.
Good to hear :) there's hope for my scar yet lol

Still sore in one spot of my upper abs if I do too much. I'm soooo ready to start Zumba again! Otherwise all is well.
