No Pain and All Gain - West Orange, NJ

I first have to say that this was one of the best decisions of my life and I owe it to Dr. Joseph. I have never liked my nose since I was a teenager and always thought maybe one day I could get a nose job, but my parents could never afford it so i put thought aside. It wasn't until I started working for about a year when I realized that having the nose I wanted could become a reality. I went to a few other doctors but none of them appeared to be as good as Dr Joseph. They either charged too much money, didn't show me before and afters or I didn't like what they showed my nose would look like after surgery. When Dr. Joseph showed me what potentially my nose would look like, I really loved it because it looked cute and small but very natural. It was exactly what I was looking for. After a couple consultations, I scheduled my rhinoplasty surgery. I was nervous for the surgery, but to be honest I was more anxious/excited because for so long I planned for this and wanted my new nose already! The worst part was that a few days before surgery I got a bad head cold! I called Dr. Joseph right away so that he could make sure I was healthy enough before surgery. Thank goodness I didn't have an infection and could go through with it! He gave me antibiotics ahead of time to be safe and I was feeling better that Sunday night before surgery on Monday. To me the worse part of surgery was getting the IV beforehand. I really liked the surgical center; the staff was extremely nice and caring. Same with Dr Joseph, you can't get any better of a bed side manner from a doctor! After the surgery, i felt okay no pain at all just a bit uncomfortable since you have the dressing on your nose. I was only a touch nauseous and the nurse in the recovery room can give you something to relieve the queasiness so don't worry about that. The next couple days was the worst part of everything and that even wasn't bad at all. I had absolutely no pain in my nose. I took no pain killers and not even tylenol the first night! The only thing that felt uncomfortable was my throat from the tube that was put down my throat from surgery and not being able to breathe through your nose. The swelling increases the first couple days and then after that you gradually start to get better. I had a lot of bruising and it lasted for about 3 weeks. I took 2 weeks off of work and I would advise everyone to take that much time off. I am now about 2 months post op and I am so happy with the results! My nose looks just like Dr Joseph's simulation pictures and actually even better! I don't feel like there are any cons to getting Rhinoplasty. You have to take some time out of your life to do this but it's so worth it if you are unhappy with the appearance of your nose! I experienced no pain and now I can't stop looking in the mirror. I still look like myself, but just better!
