I've always disliked having flared ribs since I...

I've always disliked having flared ribs since I was a teen, a they make form fitting clothes look really odd. Add that to a big A/small B bust line, wide muscular shoulders and you end up with quad boobs on the incredible hulk.

I always told myself if my boobs got saggy I would go ahead and get them done. I could handle small but not small and saggy. But after a life altering experience this year, I've decided that life is to short to live with something your not happy with, and have the ability to change.

At my second consulation the surgeon noticed my ribs, and asked if they bothered me, and that he could make them less obvious looking if they did. He also said with my ribs where they were I would have to get a periareolar incision (which I didn't really want), but I could get the inframammory if I did a rib shaving.

So after a lot of thought, I am scheduled for August 29th (the doctor had vacation plans fall through and was offering $500 off to people who booked that surgery date on late notice).

I go in for my vectra imaging and preop appointment next Friday, and I keep going from super nervous to super excited! I def want to be at least a D...maybe a DD but I'll see for sure next week. I'm nervous that I've only food a few people who have had the rib shaving done, but they looked great so I'm hoping my turns out good too! I've only told my husband, and I don't think I will tell anyone else until the surgery is over, so you all will have to be my support group.

Pre op pictures soon.

425cc Silicone Partial Unders Scheduled for Friday

Had my pre op appointment last Friday, where we decided in 425ccs HP, I couldn't go any larger due to my current breast width. The staff made me feel really comfortable with the whole thing, even though the doctor was currently out the county.

Ready for it just to be over. Each morning when I wake up the surgery is the first place my brain wants to go and then all the doubts start creeping in. But since I'm already paid up, there's no turning back now! Goibg to pick up a backrest pillow, my Rxs, and some ensure later today. I'm still worried about the rib shave pain, since there's nothing online I can find out about it.

Debating if I should tell a couple of friends or not, my husband thinks I should, but I don't think the results are going to be as obvious to everyone as he does, but I guess we will see!

Keep meaning to post before pictures, but my phone won't let me so I will try to remember to do that on my computer tonight.

Surgery Day!

The big day! Got to the doctors office at 6:30 this morning, feeling ready but nervous. It took a few times to get my IV in which was a bit painful. The anesthesiologist ended up having to get it in (the nurse said he was one of the best they worked with), and he explained that he would use a little face mask instead of the trachea tube, which I was super happy about. He also said he was going to use some of the strongest anti nausea medicine on the market since I mentioned I threw up after my wisdom tooth removal.

The doctor came in made some marks, went over what was going to happen, how he was going to adjust for the minor asymmetry, and how the rib shave was going to be the most painful part of my recovery. The staff let me and my husband say our good byes, which made me a little teary eyed. The nurses were good about relaxing me in the OR, and then it was lights out.

The surgery lasted 3 hours , and I woke up feeling a little foggy with a lot of tightness in my breast and super sore ribs. They were surprised when I said that the right rib was more painful when they took more off the left. My breast were not as high/square ad I expected which was a nice surprise.

The nurse got me up into a chair and gave me some crackers and gingerale/water before givin me my first dose of Percocet (oh yeah PROTIP: if you live in the city, and not in a super nice neighborhood yor pharmacy might not fill any Percocet prescriptions...) I was ready to leave sooner than the stag expected.

Got home around 11 and plopped down on my back rest pillow on my bed. My husband set up some water for me and I had a much needed nap.

I'm able to lift both hands over my head, hoping its not just because of the painkillers, but I def plan to take those as scheduled for the first 48 hours. Pictures once I get I on my computer.
