Dr Rampona Gave False Sense of Results - Virginia Beach, VA

Had Supralase procedure two weeks ago. First week was exactly as expected. Best vision on seventh day post-op. Vision then began to decline. Unable to read without at least 1.5 power now and distance vision is sketchy at best. Not sure what to expect from here or what is best course of action- specifically whether to do additional "tweaking". Wouldn't have any doubt if results were at least close to what Dr Rampona had said I would have. Advice?

I'm sorry to hear it didn't turn out as you'd hoped. Have you talked to Dr. R about your declining results?

Yes, I have and he thinks he may have overcorrected, but doesn't seem concerned that my left eye is worse than before the procedure. He advised me to buy a pair of 1.5 powers, and start taking 1000mg of vitamin C daily. My next post-op is two weeks from now which would take me to 5 1/2 weeks out. We'll see what happens then.

Oh good. I'm glad he's aware of your concerns and has a plan.

Good luck. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Please keep us posted on how you're doing.

You can’t judge the results at only two eeeks out. I had my surgery done almost 3 years ago and it has absolutely been a lifesaver.! Dr. Rampona is wonderful!!
