I was happy to find this site and your inspiring...

I was happy to find this site and your inspiring stories have given me more confidence in my decision to remove my (unwanted) implants. I got my initial implants 20 years ago. I wanted only a LIFT, and the PS assured me that implants would give me a better result. I was a size 32 B. I have read many of the same stories here, I ended up with D-DD horrible huge breasts. I am 5'5" and weigh 100. Forget shopping for clothes, my size doesn't exist. 20 years later I am finally in a position to get them out. Both had ruptured.
The PS that I went to came with high credentials. I wanted them out. He didn't think that I would be pleased with the result of just removal so I opted to have a LIFT as well, and left it up to his discretion in the operating room if I didn't have enough breast tissue that he would put a small implant. BAD DECISION, of course he put in another implant... and the worst part was that he put in the SAME size as what I had. The recovery was excruciatingly painful because I developed a blood clot in my lung from the surgery, which could have been fatal. The PS and hospital provided exceptional care. I had a long recovery with daily hospital visits to receive blood thinner injections. The pain of the surgery combined with the blood clot made me hesitant to do any more surgery. Its now 3 years later and I had my consult yesterday with the same surgeon. He knew I was extremely unhappy with the result and knew I would be coming back someday, and he assured me that he would do the removal when I was ready. He will remove them under IV sedation, and expects it will take about 1/2 hour. He is doing it for a very small charge, basically to cover the sedation cost. I am so nervous about the surgery because of my past experience, but I just want them OUT. I'm not looking forward to the recovery period, but from the stories I have read... it seems not too bad, and worth it.

today is the day!

I go in for my surgery at 1:30. I am busy with washing floors, vacuuming, changing sheets etc.. because I know I will be unable for a while. Nothing to eat before the surgery so I think Im going to be hungry when I get out. I just want to get it over with and begin the healing process. I hope everything goes ok, I am so nervous from my past surgery. I have been off ibuprofen for a week which has been challenging. I play lots of tennis so I am feeling all my aches and pains.
Will post when I make it to the other side. This site, and all of you, have been a big comfort!

There OUT!

I had my surgery yesterday. The procedure took 18 minutes! I feel woozy today from the meds, but I am so relieved that they are out. I have much more breast tissue than I thought, but only just had a peek right after the surgery. Will post more later. :-))))
