I have struggled with underarm sweating since...

I have struggled with underarm sweating since about grade 8. I always wear white or black or even hoodies during the summer to hide my embarrassing wet marks. I have been recently getting botox injections to temporarily stop the sweating. It works really well for about 4 months then I start to notice the sweating again. Botox was covered 100% with my insurance so I only paid the $200 fee for the actual injections. Now that I am 25 years old my insurance coverage isn't as good and paying for botox every 4 months would not be worth it in the long run. Hence, I have decided to fork out the money for my first Miradry procedure. After reading reviews about the procedure I decided to ask for my first session to be done on the highest setting(5). I sweat ALOT from the underarms and I am hoping that starting with "full power" will greatly reduce my sweating (hopefully only need one session). My procedure is scheduled for tomorrow morning, I will try to keep up with my reviews! Thanks

Day of procedure.

This morning I had my first treatment of Miradry. I was a little nervous after reading the reviews and had a tough time sleeping last night. I wouldn't say the needles hurt but they were certainly annoying. Like I said about I requested the first session to be on the highest setting (5) to get the full effect. After both armpits were frozen they began the actual procedure. At first I couldn't feel anything which was great. About half way through I felt a sharp heating pain in my upper arm which did not feel good at all. The doctor came back and injected some more solution in order to completely freeze the area which helped. The second arm pit was going well until we started reaching the end and then I could start feeling the heating pain again. I am a pretty tough guy and have had a few tattoos so I am no wussy. This pain is different, it feels deep in your actual armpit and is really uncomfortable. I decided just to bite the bullet and to proceed to finish as quickly as possible. Before you start to freak out, remember I had it done on the highest setting which I believe it just means that the machine spends more time in each area then if it were on a lower setting. It has one been a couple hours since the treatment and I don't feel too bad at all. My armpits feel warm to hot but I will begin to ice them to relieve that feeling. I am very excited not to be sweating nearly as much anymore! I hope that because this procedure is expensive that only 1 session will do the trick, hence my choice of the level 5 setting. If sweating starts up again in a few months then I will certainly be back for the second treatment!

Day after 1st procedure.

About 6 hours after my first procedure my underarms began to swell up tremendously. It feels like I have tennis balls under my arms and have to walk around with my elbows slightly in the air. I took today off work but am hoping the swelling goes down by tomorrow so I don't look weird walking around at work with my arms bowed out like I'm trying to look "huge". My right armpit has some pretty gross looking bruises but I know that fairly normal. I recommend if you are thinking about getting this treatment you give yourself a few days after for recovery. My arms feel a bit weak and i had a tough time sleeping last night! I will continue to keep everyone updated!
