Well I had my breast lift with implants on 20 Dec. I arrived for surgery at 300 pm (absolutely starving BTW)! The whole nursing staff was awesome and helped ease my anxiety. The one big thing I really liked about my PS was that all procedures were done in his clinic, the first floor was administration with the 2nd being clinical. So it was extremely comfortable to be in such a relaxed environment.
I was a B cup and discussed with my PS that I wanted a D cup with silicon implants. Well my doc came and made some drawings and it was time to go under. The anesthesiologist came in and chatted a bit and we were off to the OR. My amazing nurse held my hand as I went under and wiped my tears since my arms were strapped down.
The next think I knew was not wanting to open my eyes, i could feel pain and did not want to wake up to it! The most painful feeling when I woke up was the catheter! I keep telling them I had to go to the bathroom but the catheter was still in, they removed it and I still had the feeling of a full bladder but could not pee! My PS came and explained he had used 400 cc mentor round (brand)in the right breast and 425 in the left due to one being bigger. So I won't lie, the first 2 days was absolutely miserably, today is the first day that I feel like myself again, but with drains(yuck)! He placed 4 drains and they just plain stink! I have seen my PS everyday since my procedure and he says maybe tomorrow I will get 1 or 2 out but it's best to make sure all drainage is complete. I will say I honestly feel like my PS and entire staff care about me, they have been extraordinary in every aspect! The day after my lift I went in and told them I was drinking water but still felt dehydrated, within 5 minutes, they had me on and IV and even gave me more Demerol for the pain. Love my PS staff!

Thank you for sharing on RealSelf! How are you feeling now that it's been a few more days?
