I have always struggled with my lovehandle area. It is the first place I ever gained weight, and when I lose weight, every area of my body shrinks except for my lovehandles. This is why I decided to get Cool Sculpting. I was a bit nervous at first, due to the reviews on this website, but after my consultation I decided that I had to give it a shot. I am desperate to get rid of my lovehandles because I like the rest of my body the way that it is, and I don't want to have to lose a drastic amount of weight everywhere in order to make my lovehandles go away.

I got my treatments on a buy one get one free special. I had my love handles done on February 2, 2012. The procedure was much, much easier than the people on this site made it seem. I would describe it as uncomfortable, at worst! On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being no pain and 10 being unbearably painful), I would rate it a 3. It was just slightly uncomfortable, that is all. I've read (and my doctor told me this, as well) that the massage after the procedure is the worst part. I couldn't believe how easy it was! My sides were still completely numb, and honestly, it felt like she was tickling me when her hands got up too high or too low. I am extremely ticklish and I couldn't help but giggle through the whole massage. My doctor said that she's never experienced that reaction from a patient before, so I guess I am an anomaly.

The procedure was really a piece of cake. Afterwards, wasn't so great. I swung my purse up onto my arm and it hit my side (bad idea). This sent a shooting uncomfortable feeling (not pain, pain wouldn't be the right word) through my whole mid section. I learned my lesson and have been very careful with it ever since. It has been five days since my procedure, and the feeling in my sides are beginning to come back. The only side effect that I have experienced is small pin-prick type feelings that usually last only a few minutes and are completely bearable.

I am going back in for another procedure in two months (I wanted to wait for my full results, and also my doctor said that some people are still sensitive after only a month which can make the second procedure very painful, even if the first one was a breeze). I will post my before pictures and keep everyone updated on my progress!

My rating:

My doctor was great! She explained the procedure thoroughly and answered all my questions without making me feel stupid for asking them. She checked on me often and even had a buzzer set up if I needed her! I laid back and watched a movie during my two hours of coolsculpting and it was the easiest, most relaxing moment of my whole week. I would love to be able to kick back and relax like that all of the time!
