Mixed emotions

$400
It is sad seeing all the girls around me getting fake boobs or already have fake boobs. When did our society become so shallow? My husband just told me that all men love big boobs... Most of the times guys can't even tell a girl has fake boobs.

I don't regret my explant a bit, but sometimes I still feel upset when people always give their attention to the "hot" girls.

Girl! We are still hot too...with our very real, extremely sensitive nippled, little boobies...hehe....We just have to work it and use what we got to keep our man's attention:)
You're beautiful and no matter what, natural is far more gorgeous than fakies. Not all men like big boobs at all. Honestly. They're all different. What's more beautiful, is the person you are. A friend said to me recently "what's in the past and what lies ahead are small matters, compared to what lies within us". X
Well said - natural is ebay I and feeling good in your own skin is attractive and can't be beaten [RS bleep]

All men? No true.... Most men? Maybe..... Many men? Probably.... Some men? Definitely. The same could be said for natural breasted vs implanted women. Personally, I am so fed up of keeping up with societies expectations of women and their bodies! Everything from feminine freaking wipes advertised on tv! Anyone see a bag wipe for men on tv???? Damn that pisses me right the hell off. Another societal complex inducing, money making, brain washing pile of crap is what it is! All feed off our insecurities that were instilled in us. I;m tired of feeling inadequate because my breasts aren't perfect. I'm tired of feeling inadequate because my box doesn't smell like a daisy wipe after washing my freaking car! And I have officially QUIT trying to measure up at 48. Until men use feminine wipes, have a 6 pack instead of a beer belly, and get their balls lifted, they can take a flying F*** through a rolling donut! Please OCDgirl, please love yourself, you are HOT, and you are healthier and happy being true to yourself. Not to mention strong and courageous too!!! Big hugs to you... xoxoox
LOL!!!!!! littlehugger...bag wipe?! I just had a nice laugh reading your reply. :-) You are right, of course, and thanks for the laugh! I'll ask hubby what he thinks of a ball lift. lol. OCDgirl, plenty of men *prefer* small breasts and there are also men that are turned off by fake boobs. ALL men do not love big boobs. Most men just love boobs, period. As long as they can see and touch them, they are a-ok! There will always be women who are prettier, thinner, younger, etc....what matters most is how you feel about yourself. Stand proud that you are a woman who gave the finger to the ridiculous process of breast implantation and the lifetime maintenance it requires.
OMG littleh that was hilarious! Let's invent bag wipes and ball lifts! I love it that was the best laugh I had all day! Thank you Thank you! OCDgirl you are fine and beautiful. Really not all men are like that and if they are then whatever. Don't let it ruin your day. Really its not worth it.
Nicely said!!! I can assure you that you definitely spoke on my behalf! Love it! Thank you for such sincere words. If he misses them so much you should buy him 2 3lb mushy medicine balls and strap them on his chest.
Oh my gosh, littlehugger! I laughed and laughed at this. It is so true, and you said it in the best way possible. I agree with you 100%. It's time to end the [RS bleep], and maybe even flip the coin for awhile and let men see what it feels like to be in our shoes. I'm sick of it! I swear to goodness, I can't even drive down the highway without seeing a frickin' hooters billboard or laser hair billboard directed towards women with flawless ladies in bikinis. I really don't understand why society focuses on women and their physical appearances. It really does make me want to punch someone in the face! I can't even watch TV without seeing big bouncing boobs on the screen or commercials or whatever. I just wish it didn't matter. I wish all boobs either looked the same, or we all had men chests and they didn't even exist.
I so agree with you. Women are expected to look perfect from head to toes - wear sexy undies and be a temptress etc men what do they do???? Funny my hubby is 100% happy and wants me to remove my implants but will them and light hearted joked about oh dear they'll be all gone ! I said hmmm .... So what happened to your six pack !! He agreed with me on men expect and women except!!! I finally resign from wearing make up, fair nails, boobs, or anything else off others expectation - it's me time and I want to feel natural.
Aw :(. Sorry your having mixed feelings. I think that's what I'm worried about after removal. I greatly dislike the way things are headed culturally as well. I know, with out a doubt that all my friends will have big fake boobs by the time I'm in my mid-30s. Especially since any of my friends, who've I've told about this whole fake boobie nightmare, don't care, and tell me I should keep them and that they "look great" and they "can't wait to get them too"... Mean while... I rather have a double mastectomy and mural tattooed across my chest than carry these bags around! lol.
Most men have seen literally thousands of fake boobs in [RS bleep] and very few real boobs in real life. If you think women are confused, trust me men even more so, as we women have much more casual access to real boobs (locker room, relatives, ourselves, etc) to counteract images of fakeness. So, do most men like big fake boobs? Yes, in that those are the majority of boobs they have seen. I do think men who know the difference find the feel of implants gross, even if they find the look nice. But, bottom line is most guys just like boobs - especially any sort they can have access to in real life. It would take some really extreme boob disfigurement to deter most men, and I have never heard of a woman being sexually rejected for having the types of normal boobs most of us did before implants!

Allergic to adhesive on paper tape

Replies (7)

I had itching and redness under the steri strips when they were taken off too. It was immediate relief once they were gone. After a day it totally cleared up, hope yours does too. I too have the lump or firm ridge under the incision. I think it's just scarring. I had it after my BA too and it really softened up with time. Hope you find some relief from the redness and itching. I took a shower, washed them well and dried them well. That seemed to really help get the rest of the adhesive residue off. I noticed relief quickly. Glad you're doing well otherwise!
I'm so sorry about your reaction! Is it getting any better? Your incisions are so little!! A lot shorter than mine are that's for sure. My remov date is the 19th... The 9th got cancelled :,-(. I'm so upset. I know it's only 3 weeks away but still! Feels like an eternity. How're you feeling over all? Still good about removal? Can't wait to see more pics. So happy for you!!
My incisions are at least 2 inches each!
Ouch! Geez that looks really sore! Hope this has improved for you now that the tape is off, and you have some medication. Sure hope that has improved!!!
You poor thing--try some 100% pure aloe vera gel--it always helps me when I'm having an allergic reaction. Hope it gets better soon!
I used some pure aloe vera gel and it worked! They're getting better but slowly. Not itching anymore but it's taking a while for the color to fade.
Yay! So glad to hear it's getting better.

Update today

Had my post-op appointment yesterday. Apparently I had a severe allergic reaction to the paper tape even though I took them off 3 days post... The blisters have almost gone away, but the skin is still very red and actually look darker than before. But it feels smoother and less itchy. I guess it'll take quite a while to resolve...

At the appointment, the doctor seemed surprised how bad I looked. so he took a needle and made sure I didn't have any fluid in there - ZERO fluid, he got nothing and I was left with two tiny holes. lol We made sure I wasn't infected. He prescribed me Bactrim to prevent infection anyway, and asked if I was allergic to Sulfa, I said I didn't know. I've never taken Bactrim and the last thing I want is another allergic reaction! So I asked if I could take Amoxicillin instead and he said yes. I am only taking 250mg 3 times a day for 5 days.

Now when I press on my incision scars, I can feel firm ridges underneath, is this normal? One side feel harder than the other, but they both have them underneath. PS says it's just scar tissue from the stitches and will soften after time, but I'm worried about this unevenness.
