“Upper and Lower Abs~Smart Lipo Totally Worth It”

I had my smart lipo procedure done on Thursday September 25, 2008. The procedure took about 2 hours because my doctor was so precise. I went to an all women's surgery center in Los Angeles, and I could not recommend a better place. Not only was the staff and the doctor extremely professional, but they were all VERY warm, kind and caring. I had been to 4 other plastic surgeons in the Los Angeles area, which were all male, and once I found my doctor, I knew she was the right one for me.

I had local anesthia, which consisted of me taking a sleeping pill and a pain pill 30 minutes before the surgery and I was given about 10 shots all over my upper, lower abdomen and around the upper pubic area. She made two small incisions on my upper pubic area and one in my belly button. I was then filled with salt water and lidocaine so it would puff up the area and numb me inside. The procedure actually tickeled me. I didn't feel any discomfort, just a light tugging. I would honestly say the worst part of the procedure for me was the shots.

I'm not over weight. I'm a 30 year old 5 foot and weigh 109 woman, but I had a little bit of a lower belly. I work out constantly and dance all the time, but still wasn't happy with my stomach. I was scared of any plastic surgery that would involve leave scars, cause me to be cut open and put to sleep. I researched smart lipo for several months and read tons of reviews. I decided once I found my doctor that it was something I wanted to try.

I must say after the procedure, I was very surprised. I felt no pain in the areas that were treated. I bruised and swelled up badly, which is to be expected, and the worst part of it was the swelling in my pubic area and thighs that made it very umcomfortable for me to sleep at night and very uncomfortable to wear the surgical garmet they make you wear, since I was so swollen down there and hanging out everywhere.

I am a week and a half post surgery, and a TON of my swelling has gone down, I have black bruising all down my inner thighs, but they dont hurt at all. I never experienced any pain from the surgery, just the uncomfortablness of the swelling. Maybe I got lucky, I don't know, but so far, I do know this was a great choice for me and so far it's been a good experience. I have my two week visit coming up in about 4 days, so I'm looking forward to that and of course the final results.
