Anxiously awaiting my new Tummy! After 2 Vertical...

Anxiously awaiting my new Tummy! After 2 Vertical C-Sections and Hysterectomy, this 53 yr old is past ready for a new Tummy!! Consult with Dr. Christopher Schaffer, Bham AL went well now looking forward to a wealth of information on this site and updating my progress in the weeks and months ahead.

Trying to get prepared

Well I have been picking up supplies, food, etc. as I prepare for the big day. Anxious, Excited, Nervous....funny how you think you need to get so much done pre-op...house clean, laundry, swap out warm weather clothes, pick up pet supplies, and the list goes on - as if you will never be able to do any of these things post op! It doesn't help that I am self employed and trying to get so many clients work complete in order to not have so much accounting work on my plate post op. Yes, this site becomes rather obsessive reading all of the prior and upcoming TTs. However, it very helpful in answering so many questions. Trying to get around to taking and posting pre-op photos...maybe today. Good luck to all of the other upcoming TTs.

Day 1 post op

Surgery yesterday went well...Dr said may not be able to get all of the vertical scar but yippee he got it all!! I'm doing pretty good standing, not too bent over. Feeling sure the Esparel pain meds was definitely a good investment as i am not in near as much pain as i had feared. Making sure I get up and walk every couple hours to limit possibilities of blood clots. Have to be back at 8:00 this morning for post op check. loved my Dr and the staff. Good luck all having theirs this month. I'm adding before photos.. yikes... glad that's gone ha
