The next day which was Tuesday, the cardiologist. at Cecip wanted to see me again. I slept well, I took another cold shower (by force), took the blood pressure meds he prescribed (they gave me the worst headache ever), and I just simply tried to mentally decompress. Needless to say, it didn't happen. Dra Diaz (partner to Dra Robles) call to say they were ready for me. Conrad is always readily accessible. They called my RH to square everything away. My wait time was awesome, I felt like a priority, and I felt that they had my best interest at heart at Cecip. It's easy to get discouraged after reading others postings but I honestly had such a great experience, I'm determined to complete this saga. Anyways, I'm whisked away to the doctors office...did I tell you the driving in the country it's unregulated, SERIOUSLY! Lawd help those people. Second day in a row that my blood pressure is identically elevated, what am I going to do? Depressed, but I quickly snap out of it. MagicJack app is the best. I began calling my family and friends and updating them. I received a better response for returning than when I left to go, imagine that. I can to change my flight and AA wasn't having it. They wanted $1081 to change my reservation, and $685 for a one way flight back to Florida...bummer. I make it back to the RH and initiated an all out search for a flight. I came up with JetBlue...this airline it's awesome. For $404 I purchased a trip home one-way. I squared away my transportation and packed my things back up. There was only two of it's in the house and the staff. I'll update some more this evening.

Your health is and should always be priority number 1. I am sorry that you were not able to have your sx, but it's relieving to hear that they used their best judgment on this one and made your health priority number 1. Good luck mama.

Why me?!?! Part 2

. Ok, so I get up this morning,my handle my business and like clockwork Conrad was here at 7:30ish to take me to Dra Yily in Cipla. We arrive and it's hot and humid there too...I begin to wonder am I that obese, that I'm the only one hot and sweaty. Yes I sweated my hair (ponytail hence forth). I go up to the 5th floor and take a seat. Conrad soon joins me and then appears Yira (she's cute with a booty). Conrad is the man. He knows the business and take charge. I didn't sit and wait 10 min. I was downstairs to get my blood work. I did run into an old supervisor with his wife who had just had sx with Yily. It was good to see familiar faces. Ok so, I head to get my bloodwork done, and the tech ask me to step on the scale to get my weight. I set off after she retrieves it. We then head back upstairs to Dra Yily office. I sit and begin conversing with the people I knew. We chatted and 20 min had went by, and I'm concerned I didn't get my bloodwork done. Ok now I continue chatting and Yira calls me in the back office. My BMI is 41, and at Cipla it must be at 35. How did that happen? All the wrong combinations, that's how. Yira begins to empathize and look for other options, then she makes mention of Dra Robles. I almost immediately decline the offer, get on my phone in front of her, and initiate changing my flight so I can go home...disappointed big time. She asks me to have a seat for another moment and in walks Dra Yily. She greets and hugs everyone waiting, mind you it was a packed house...those waiting for sx and those doing sx follow up. In short, Conrad translated, she was sorry and felt bad she was not able to perform the sx. She expressed the regulations and rules of the facility. She did highly recommend Dra Robles, and added Robles would only be allowed to do my tummy tuck and lipo of my sides because of BMI. After consulting with Yily, I determined I needed to now consult with Robles, because I no longer was disappointed. Dra Yily did make light of her being unable. This means I get my deposit back...right? Well off to Cecip, the other facility, we go. After arriving, I immediately go to Dra Robles office, and fill out paperwork for a tummy tuck and lipo sculpture to be performed. Escorted to do bloodwork, finally. Take chest X-rays, and EKG...with a high blood pressure...could there anything else? Yep, the cardiologist says sx...not today...and orders an Echocardiogram...in a whole other facility. Dra Robles is made aware, she is very concerned. She talks to me, and speaks perfect English, and wants see my body. She takes me to an exam room, I put on my birthday suit, or shall I say, reveal my birthday suit. She marks me up! I'm elated...It's now 11:30am, I go back to the recovery house to await 3:00pm for my appointment. The Echo is an sonogram of your heart. Everything is fine. I'm having sx...fingers crossed.

Hello, I returned home on Wednesday. The two specialist I saw would not approve the surgery. My blood pressure was elevated two days back to back, and I decided to come home and try in October and bring my husband with me so I can control my calm and refrain from being so anxious. On the outside all appears well, but my mind was racing a 100mph.

Everything happens for a reason. Just think of it like this wasn't the right time for you to have the surgery. Work on exercising, eating right and lowering and maintaining your blood pressure. And when you go back in October you will be in better health and you can do your surgery with Dra Yily who you really wanted. I am happy you are ok. I was a worried with the whole notion that you couldn't have the surgery with Dra Yily and that you were sent to another doctor who wasn't your choice with a high BMI. Remember you researched for 2 years for Dra Yily. Take Care

Thanks for your feedback. I am keeping Dra Yily as my surgeon on choice. I'm working harder to take of me, so I'll be ready for her.

Hello Santo Domingo...smh, why me!

Ok so where do I begin...flight was great. Flew from MCO at 6:25pm to MIA, then landed safely in DR at 11:25pm. Everything is in Spanish...lol. DO NOT EXCHANGE YOUR U.S. DOLLARS FOR PESOS AT THE AIRPORT...RIPOFF! Yes I was got...anyways, you have to pay $10 U.S. for your tourist card if your not a resident. On to claim my bag, go thru customs, and viola! There's this guy holding paper made sign with my name on it...yoo hoo, here I go! Conrad is his name. He speaks perfect English and lived in the States for years. Did I mention he's heaven sent? I'm on this journey solo...anyways, he takes my bag a leads me to his vehicle. He loads the bag, and then appears his wife, CiCi. She greets me and we hot tail it into town. First impressions...Conrad is a gentleman, rough around the edges, but otherwise, nothing I haven't seen before. CiCi was ready to unwind. She had on loungers, a t-shirt, and her hair pulled back. Immediately Conrad offers his wi-fi so I can contact home...impressive. We arrive at Serenity RH. It is gated with remote, parking is on the 2nd level, enter an elevator and make to the 5th level. Reminds you of a penthouse, marble floors, high ceilings, and hot. Hot and humid as if no one was there but me and it was closed up...yep I think that's exactly what was going on. Anyway, Luz was there. Conrad brought bag up and placed it where I would be residing...temporarily, and CiCi gave me a brief rundown, told me get some rest, and they'll pick me up in the morning. The rooms are air conditioned, with personal bathrooms, flat panel tv...it'll pass. By now, it about 1:15am and I immediately begin prepping for my big day, or what I thought was about to be my big day. Enough for now, I update a little later.
