Oh and another worry 4 weeks after surgery we have a family trip for a week - lets hope i rest up good!! 1st August 2012

Any advice from any fellow Tummy tuckers or breast lift/ reduction with implant are greatly recieved!!

PO day 6 - feeling much better today had a really good nights sleep can't believe its a week tomorrow since surgery!!! I am extremley happy with what i see and can't wait to see my surgeon tomorrow.

Am i the only one that hasn't had to wear any compression garment??? I don't understand why!! But i will ask tomorrow. Im still taking 1 x tramadol every 6 hours with paracetamol and ibropofen and feel really comfortable!! That might be due to me having the dreaded BM this morning haha it wasn't bad at all!!

Still get very tired just walking around and getting hair washed and cleaned up on a morning tends to knock it out of me!! This morning I thought i would make the effort and blow dry my hair!!! My bllldy hair dryer blew up on me I thought I was getting shot at - it made me jump so far every muscle in my stomach tensed and wouldn't relax it was awful - thank god no-one saw me!!! My boobs look amazing still and occasionally on a night feel like i have mastitous but this soon wears off!!

I will update pictures and let you know how I get on with my PS tomorrow and for now I am just enjoying the rest x x x

17 days post op! This mornin when I woke I placed my hands on my newly flat tummy and although it felt good/flat it felt strangely hot! This is weird because its still very numb! Hubby said it looked great but maybe a little red so I gave my ps a ring and went straight in he checked me over and said it looked to be maybe very early signs ov a belly button infection! That's me on antibiotics 4 x a day! It was really comforting knowing he would just see me at the drop ov a hat!
He was extremely happy with his work and took a few pictures which he said he only normally does at 6 weeks which made me feel good.

Anyway after my eventful mornin my eyes were shutting in the car! I feel like a 1 year old that could sleep anywhere! Its so annoying!

I have 1 week exactly before we drive to France so I Will be 3 1/2 week post op. . God I need to sort so much but just can't! Do you think this is how men feel daily?

Hope your all doin great and resting up! Its quite obvious to me my scars are healing a lot quicker than my body x x x

mastopexy revision 10 months on x

Today I am 1 day post op after my breasts dropped slightly. Originally my surgeon decided I didnt need the full mastopexy so did a crest lift. But 10 months on I felt I needed that tightness and lift so went a head with the revision. I am over the noon and pain free and only had surgery 15 hours ago. I have even just done supermarket shop!! Ive uploaded a couple of pictures that really dont do my stomach or breastd justice but tgought for all you tummy tuckers with scars an idea of how time heals. I'll get hubby to take some more pictures later!!!

Any questions please feel free to ask x x

10 month on full tummy tuck and revision mastopexy

For those ladies asking for closer pictures of my tummy tuck scar and belly button. My surgeon says another 6 months and it should go silver and fade even more!! It Dosent bother me now you can't see it under my bikini! ! Im still super impressed with my belly button but still find it really odd how my stomach is still numb. Ive even burnt it on the iron and didnt know till I saw the blister.

Only 24 hours since ive had my revision. A full mastopexy leaving the implant in place and I feel great no pain just taking anti inflamatory tablets. I must say thou im dreadin takin off the tape after some of yhe pictures ive seen:-( x

Hi all! I am looking at the combined breast lift and tt procedure. Can I ask where you gals are having yours done? I can't seem to find many uk practices that are eager to do it... Thank you! x

Hello fellow UK'er :) not many of us on here and surprising how similar our TT recovery is/was (no binder, no pain) please tell me this swelling will go soon LOL ! It's not painful just annoying no being able to wear most of my jeans! Although being sat on my backside for so long I have probably put weight on and it's nothing to do with swelling ;) PS, great to see a scar after some months! You look stunning, you must be thrilled- or do you forget after a while how awful that spare tyre made you feel? Any way good luck with the reform rockets, hope they stand up to the job lol x

I too was surprised how simular ours has been. The swelling lasted about 5 months, I think I just got use to it and then realised one day it was gone.. it is really annoying!! Rockets that made me laugh!! There certainly more up right than before, but it seems the swelling gas gone down and settled on my tummy... how annoying!! See my ps tomorrow so see how things look yey. Great to hear from you... keep resting x

Thank you! And wow, that looks so good! I'm so glad to see an "older" scar. Amazing job. :-) What did you use to treat the scar and how many times a day did you use it?

Hey, how are you doing? I'm one day away from my surgery now and I'm getting super nervous!! How did you find going up stairs afterwards? Was it hard bending to use toilet etc?!?
  • Reply
hi uk twin i am doing better everyday but its such a slow process!! WOW today is your surgery day, hope all goes well, keep updating - dont be nervous you'll be fine when you get there!! To be truthful other than the drains nothing hurt they are just awkward and pull which yes its not nice but mine were removed after 48 hours!! I stayed in for 4 days. The nurses will give you lots ov pain meds and you will be comfortable most of the time. Keep up to those when you get home!! Toilet stairs not a problem for me anyway I was and still am completly numb!! My boobs are very sensitive mind!!

Good Luck you'll soon be on the flat side x

Must have read it wrong haha so today is your day!!! I didn't go to theatre until 2pm on the Wednesday and was in theatre 7.5 hours and I came home Saturday, my surgeon came everyday to see me sometimes twice a day. It was just standard for the type of procedure I had!! I had 2 drains in and they were taken out on the Friday morning (this didn't hurt just knocked me a little sick it was a wierd sensation). x x x

Hi bec12, you look amazing, especially for 1 week out!! Incision looks beautiful, and boobs are perfect!! So happy for you and glad your taking it easy... It's crazy how quick the energy drains, but this to shall pass :).
Angemary, 2 peri-colace (stool softener & stimulant laxative) before bed, and a cup of morning coffee did the trick for me. Just helps things move gently through ;). Happy healing ladies!

Oh thank you angemary33. I am thinking the same, excellent recovery but I must say compared to the usual busy mum ov 5 daily routine I am not doing much...I get so tired so easy. This morning I went downstairs and made a cup of tea, whilst waiting for the kettle to boil, i cleaned all the sides down and emptied the dryer. I was then exhausted!!! Not me at all.
My best advise other than rest is keep ontop of pain meds take them on time and dont wait to see if the pain comes!!! While every your sat and layed in bed you'll stretch out if your comfy, I am now standing nearly straight,,,As ive said i dont wear any garments even after surgery but i'll ask why tomorrow not that i'm bothered one bit..(they sound horrible) I didn't take anything for the dreaded BM, but coffee seems to make me go -I've had Fresh orange every morning and a coffee this morning - It honestly wasn't that bad!! My appetite has been lacking ever since surgery, and have lost a good 8lb. Keep i touch and rest up!! x x x x

Hi bec12
You seem to be having an excellent recovery so far difficult!!
I am enjoying reading your progress as you are 5 days ahead of me so it gives me a pretty idea of that to expect.
If you have any helpful tips please let me know. Did you take stool softeners ? I am terrified bout the dreaded BM! So scared that i smiled afraid to eat much which is a shame as the food on offer is lovely!
Happy healing!!! X
