Hi everyone :) I am a 43yr old divorced mother of 3 children. I am 5'6 and weigh 175.

My first baby was almost 10 lbs. and my tummy just has never been the same.

I am starting over in life and having the extra pooch removed is going to be a huge confidence booster! (Ex-husband married a girl 14 years younger)

March 14 will be here soon :) Excited to be doing this for myself!

Ok last night I could not sleep waking up every few hrs feeling nervous about what could go wrong. I have to get a grip!! I have a loong way till the 14th.

My surgery is next Monday and today I was getting so nervous I could not even breathe right. I am so glad I called my PS office. The nurse I talked to was so helpful in answering my questions and fears. She must of done this a thousand times with others who were anxious, boy is she good at her job, I feel soooo much better now. If you are unsure or worried call your doctor and I'm sure it would help you too.

Well I am excited to get the ball rolling. Today I have the preop testing (bloodwork, urine test) and interview with the Anesthesiologist. I have a head cold so it better not slow me down in regards to the surgery...Wish me luck. Mon. 3/14 can't get here fast enough!!

Less than 48hrs to go! Surgery is set for 6am on Monday morning. Can't wait to get this over and start the healing. I know there will be alot of pain but with the help of this site I will be able to fight thru it. Thank you RealSelf girlfriends :)

Well only a few more minutes and the big day will be here! I'm excited but also nervous. Will be so glad to "be on the other side" of this surgery and just focus on healing. Wish me luck!

Hi my friends, I am so sorry that it took this long to get back to you! My computer does not work and I need to hire somone to fix it.
My surgery went well. My bulging hips loose belly GONE forever...yay! I lost 7 lbs not from surgery but from weight watchers.
Now my lower hips/upper thighs (saddle bag area) looks so much bigger than before...yuck. Walking and hoping this goes down.
I can not wait to show my results! I need my computer :( I am typing this on a tablet...sooo slow.
It has been 4 weeks and 3 days since surgery...I am sure you thought I died..please forgive me. I am wearing a flexies hi waisted undergarment for the 1st time today. Still feel I need the security of the binder, but time to move on.

OMG! You had us freaked out! I am so happy that you have been able to tell us that you are ok and healing well! Can't wait to see your after photos! How are you feeling and what has your journey been like to date?

We had our procedures the same day and I haven't seen you on here since...everything ok? Did you run into some complications? Or are just focused on getting better? Please let us know that you are ok....PLEASE???????

I know I have been thinking of her too. She was so excited & posted often before her surgery. I think it has been about 2 weeks since her last post. I hope she is okay.

oh hello.Wuldiesgirl.. no my surgery is not until April,13 did i comfuse you?..i am sorry..i'm very nervous and my pre op is on march 28..is getting closer.i will keep you posted with this journey..take care of your self...

Wondering how you are doing...we had ours on the same day. I am up and about but very restricted. It is getting better with each day. Very sore and swollen. How about youaaaaaaaa/
