“FTT, MR & Lipo on 4/22, not @ ideal weight BUT HAPPY! - Omaha, NE”
Spent: $5,050 in Omaha, Ne
Started my journey last year wearing 225lbs, now at 185 I am at what I feel is a comfortable maintable weight FOR ME (may not be ideal for others) but it works for me :)
Have had 2 kids (both via csection) and have 2 scars I can't wait to get rid of. Along with a 1990's appendectomy scar that I'm tired of seeing through my clothes bc it's so big.
I have lost some weight & ready to get rid of this hanging skin! I CANT WAIT & my only hope is that 1.) I survive the surgery LOL & 2) that I will have good results being that I am not 'skinny' going into this :(

So I don't want to be a victorias secret model & I'm not doing this for 'weight loss' surgery. I am chosing to have this surgery @ my current weight because I WANT TO BE A NORMAL PERSON AGAIN!
I'm tired of dressing my size 9 body for a size 16/17 because of my buldging-hanging stomach. If it wasn't for that, I'd be in 9/10's like a normal person. That's what I hope to get out of this!
Only 4 days away! Overly anxious..obsessed...nervous...the works! THIS IS ALL I THINK ABOUT LATELY LOL!

Well 3 days out from my surgery. Have lost 2 more lbs :) and have all my post op supplies ready. Found out I'll be in a 'binder' type garmet (was hoping for a spanx type but oh well) and I can't shower till post op day 3. GROSS!
I AM SO ANXIOUS! All's I can think about is the surgery. I cant wait to see results!

Well I had my surgery yesterday! So far no pain, just soreness that I really only notice when getting in/out of bed and the recliner.
I can't take my binder off till I get to shower on Sunday (4/24) so the post op pics are with me all binderd up, drains and all.
I have 3 drains :( Here is the AMAZING part...the doctor took 10 LBS OF SKIN off! PLUS a couple more with lipo! HAHA! I am so amazed!
Went into surgery at 185 and weighed in at 171 the afternoon of surgery. Amazing!
So far I am sooo happy with what I can see. I can't wait to see what things look like under the binder.

Well I got my drains removed on post op day 7. All 3 of them. First 2 I didn't even flinch, just a weird feeling of something being pulled out of your body...the 3rd one BURNNNNNNN'd so bad. Ouch did it burn! Was suprised to be able to get them out because my PS said I "COULD" have them for 3 weeks!! They pulled them because I had less than 24mL draining out of each one for 2 or more days.
I am SO HAPPY with results so far. My PS did MAGIC on my body, seriously I went in this being the biggest girl in the room & now I have this small wasit that I haven't had for 10 years!
I couldn't be happier...my only compliant USE to be the drains...& now My only compliant is that I have this 'swollen' area on my left love handle
I AM SO HAPPY! This is the best thing I coulda ever done for myself!
SO HAPPY TO BE DRAIN FREE!!!!!!!!

Well swelling has been minimal but ALL of my swelling has migrated to my vajajay and now its swollen like a baseball :( Otherwise I am 100% content with how things look now.....

My doctor is AMAZING! He is the most kind & caring physician I have ever met. He truly cares about his patients and it shows in everything he does.

I am scheduled for 4/29 to have TT &BR w/lift. I'm like you in the sence that I'm not your ideal "skinny" person. I'm healthy and pretty fit since I lost weight and began an exercise routine.
My PS says I have a skin issue and can look forward to good results from both procedures. I'm excited and cannot wait for the end results.
Ursmack-do you have pics?
Mine are up now. Will add more at Day 11 when I have my dressings removed.
I bought some baby wipes to help me feel fresh during those initial post op days.
I look forward to reading about your recovery process. Good luck.
I have mostly been having a flannel wash, but yesterday (day 4) had a shower!
Got my mate to cling film round my wound and waist about 4 times round, and it worked perfectly - still couldn't reach my feet to actually wash them but the rest of me felt great and the dressing stayed dry.
A week after sx I developed a SMALL seroma, but it's not dangerous and not a big deal. Just like an internal bruise and after a week it disappered :) Had the drains been in it prob wouldnt have developed but it wasn't bothersome, wasn't dangerous or anything to worry about so ID TAKE A SEROMA OVER ANOTHER COUPLE OF WEEKS WITH DRAINS IN that is for sure! LOL.
You should definatly do the lipo of the love handles WITH the surgery. I wouldn't have done the TT if I would've known id still be left with my HUGE love handles. You will be extremly disappointed if you come out with this flat tummy and non lipo'd love handles that stick out even MORe then they did before surgery. TRUST ME! My love handles are 10xs smaller than pre sx but even with the lil bit they do stick out I STILL WANT THEM SMALLEr & they are even MORE noticable now that my tummy is flat :)
You will be disappointed if you dont get the lipo. I can't stress that enough. You will not be allowed to 'work off the love handles' or any kind of exercise for almost 2 months after sx. So just do the lipo if you can afford it girl...you will NOT be disappointed!
Hope you come back!
Since then I've had to go and buy new pants & shirts :) It's fun but getting expensive lol. I'm still not the size "jeans" wise that I'd like to be..but HUGE difference let me tell ya!
Its so nice to be NORMAL sized again!!
