Started my journey last year wearing 225lbs, now at 185 I am at what I feel is a comfortable maintable weight FOR ME (may not be ideal for others) but it works for me :)

Have had 2 kids (both via csection) and have 2 scars I can't wait to get rid of. Along with a 1990's appendectomy scar that I'm tired of seeing through my clothes bc it's so big.

I have lost some weight & ready to get rid of this hanging skin! I CANT WAIT & my only hope is that 1.) I survive the surgery LOL & 2) that I will have good results being that I am not 'skinny' going into this :(

So I don't want to be a victorias secret model & I'm not doing this for 'weight loss' surgery. I am chosing to have this surgery @ my current weight because I WANT TO BE A NORMAL PERSON AGAIN!
I'm tired of dressing my size 9 body for a size 16/17 because of my buldging-hanging stomach. If it wasn't for that, I'd be in 9/10's like a normal person. That's what I hope to get out of this!

Only 4 days away! Overly anxious..obsessed...nervous...the works! THIS IS ALL I THINK ABOUT LATELY LOL!

Well 3 days out from my surgery. Have lost 2 more lbs :) and have all my post op supplies ready. Found out I'll be in a 'binder' type garmet (was hoping for a spanx type but oh well) and I can't shower till post op day 3. GROSS!

I AM SO ANXIOUS! All's I can think about is the surgery. I cant wait to see results!

Well I had my surgery yesterday! So far no pain, just soreness that I really only notice when getting in/out of bed and the recliner.

I can't take my binder off till I get to shower on Sunday (4/24) so the post op pics are with me all binderd up, drains and all.

I have 3 drains :( Here is the AMAZING part...the doctor took 10 LBS OF SKIN off! PLUS a couple more with lipo! HAHA! I am so amazed!

Went into surgery at 185 and weighed in at 171 the afternoon of surgery. Amazing!

So far I am sooo happy with what I can see. I can't wait to see what things look like under the binder.

so happy

Updated on 3 May 2011:
Well I got my drains removed on post op day 7. All 3 of them. First 2 I didn't even flinch, just a weird feeling of something being pulled out of your body...the 3rd one BURNNNNNNN'd so bad. Ouch did it burn! Was suprised to be able to get them out because my PS said I "COULD" have them for 3 weeks!! They pulled them because I had less than 24mL draining out of each one for 2 or more days.

I am SO HAPPY with results so far. My PS did MAGIC on my body, seriously I went in this being the biggest girl in the room & now I have this small wasit that I haven't had for 10 years!

I couldn't be happier...my only compliant USE to be the drains...& now My only compliant is that I have this 'swollen' area on my left love handle

I AM SO HAPPY! This is the best thing I coulda ever done for myself!

SO HAPPY TO BE DRAIN FREE!!!!!!!!

Updated on 8 May 2011:
Well swelling has been minimal but ALL of my swelling has migrated to my vajajay and now its swollen like a baseball :( Otherwise I am 100% content with how things look now.....

Updated on 9 May 2011:
Feeling pretty good ladies! Have a small seroma on my Right side that was drained last week at 30cc's....probably gonna have to be drained again but i'll take aspiratiting it over those damn drains still in any day! HAHA!

Good luck Glamy - next Friday eh? This week will fly by. I had mine done Friday just gone and am so pleased to be through it. Feeling a bit dozy today, but very comfortable in my recliner. I will post photo's as soon as the site lets me.
Ursmack 17 Apr 2011
Good luck on your surgery.

I am scheduled for 4/29 to have TT &BR w/lift. I'm like you in the sence that I'm not your ideal "skinny" person. I'm healthy and pretty fit since I lost weight and began an exercise routine.

My PS says I have a skin issue and can look forward to good results from both procedures. I'm excited and cannot wait for the end results.
Glamy 17 Apr 2011
Bikini...i'd love to see pictures!!
Ursmack-do you have pics?
Ursmack 17 Apr 2011
Ive been posting from my iPhone but I haven't been able get any pictures to post. I'll try again once I get on the computer.
BikiniDreaming 19 Apr 2011
Hi Glamy
Mine are up now. Will add more at Day 11 when I have my dressings removed.
Glamy 18 Apr 2011
Ursmack-love to see them! You are just one week behind me!! Are you anxious yet? I am beyond anxious..more like obsessed now lol. It's all I can think about! AHH!
Ursmack 18 Apr 2011
I'm extremely anxious. I've been reading all the blogs and checked out becky's video blog on YouTube she chronicled her recovery. I will stock the food this weekend and clean the house. Excited for you.
Curvaceous-me 19 Apr 2011
Wow.. your stomache looks a lot like mine! I am not idea weight but my surgeon said i would still see good results. I am probably not the norm, i prefer to stay curvy but the stomache and to large breast gotta go:) i'm getting a BR and TT and am getting nervous as well, my surgery isnt until May 13th. I can't wait to see great your surgery goes.
Glamy 20 Apr 2011
Wow! You are lucky to be getting boobies taken care of & tummy done! If I could've afforded it I would've :( Have you posted any pics or anything? I'd love to follow your progress. My PS thinks I will be happy so we will see. I keep telling myself 'anything is better then what it is now'. I don't want to be Paris Hilton skinny, just want to be normal! We'll see :)
Ursmack 19 Apr 2011
I'm actually getting irritable because it seems there is so much to do and no time to get it done. I'm anxious too.

I bought some baby wipes to help me feel fresh during those initial post op days.

I look forward to reading about your recovery process. Good luck.
Glamy 20 Apr 2011
LOL! I can definately relate to the irritability! I have so much to do and not enough time...need to get off line and quit researching tummy tucks and get to organizing my house for pre op LOL!
BikiniDreaming 20 Apr 2011
Hey Ursmack, I bought one and got one free on the baby wipes but haven't really used them!
I have mostly been having a flannel wash, but yesterday (day 4) had a shower!
Got my mate to cling film round my wound and waist about 4 times round, and it worked perfectly - still couldn't reach my feet to actually wash them but the rest of me felt great and the dressing stayed dry.
Ursmack 20 Apr 2011
Never thought about cling wrap to keep the inscission.

You had the closest pre-op picture that resembles mine. You already look great!! I am getting a tummy tuck in July and have been debating whether or not to get lipo as well. My PS said the drains might have to stay in longer and I could probably work of the love handles with exercise after my TT is done. But I am gonna be following your posts. I am curious to see how long your drains will be in. Congrats on the new tummy. I bet you feel great =) Take care...
Glamy 22 May 2011
My drains were in for 7 days! (PS said they could have been in for up to a couple weeks) but mine stopped draining so I got them removed.

A week after sx I developed a SMALL seroma, but it's not dangerous and not a big deal. Just like an internal bruise and after a week it disappered :) Had the drains been in it prob wouldnt have developed but it wasn't bothersome, wasn't dangerous or anything to worry about so ID TAKE A SEROMA OVER ANOTHER COUPLE OF WEEKS WITH DRAINS IN that is for sure! LOL.

You should definatly do the lipo of the love handles WITH the surgery. I wouldn't have done the TT if I would've known id still be left with my HUGE love handles. You will be extremly disappointed if you come out with this flat tummy and non lipo'd love handles that stick out even MORe then they did before surgery. TRUST ME! My love handles are 10xs smaller than pre sx but even with the lil bit they do stick out I STILL WANT THEM SMALLEr & they are even MORE noticable now that my tummy is flat :)

You will be disappointed if you dont get the lipo. I can't stress that enough. You will not be allowed to 'work off the love handles' or any kind of exercise for almost 2 months after sx. So just do the lipo if you can afford it girl...you will NOT be disappointed!

Can't wait to see a no-drains belly photo...I can already tell your transformation is amazing!
Mom2Four 8 May 2011
Wow...just saw your post-op photo and it's absolutely incredible!
curvyisgood 6 May 2011
If I held your before pic up to mine, I wouldnt be able to tell the difference! Same height, same weight, same number of C-sections too! Had my TT April 28th. Already cannot believe how baggy my pants are even with a swollen belly. Seeing your pics gave me the courage to go for it, so thank you!
Glamy 8 May 2011
Curvy--have you posted any pictures? Id love to see them. I am a part of a fb page that is completly private & only seen by members (which is just a small group of ladies about like 20) who all had tummy tucks in the last month. Would love to have you join and share your story and pics if you'd like to come! Feel free to reply back here and I can send you the link! http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_203591656347421¬if_t=group_activity
Hope you come back!

Oh my! You look fantastic! What a difference..I can only imagine how awesome you feel! So happy that you have gotten fantastic results!
Wisconsin 8 May 2011
You look so good! Congrats on the new tummy!
Ursmack 8 May 2011
Looking good girl. I hope my results look that good later. I have lots of swelling in my belly and after all day on my feet my hips and thighs swell too
kelrox 15 May 2011
We have similar tummys before and after! Have you been able to wear your pre-op clothes yet? I am still too swollen but I could see a HUGE difference today, so I am hoping the swelling is on the way out! Congrats on the new tummy!
Glamy 22 May 2011
I didn't fit into any of my preop clothes from day 1 of surgery...everything was WAY to big. Shirts looked like tents & pants fall straight to the floor.

Since then I've had to go and buy new pants & shirts :) It's fun but getting expensive lol. I'm still not the size "jeans" wise that I'd like to be..but HUGE difference let me tell ya!

Its so nice to be NORMAL sized again!!
curvyisgood 18 May 2011
Glamy update your pics. Im dying to see, since we were same weight and belly beforehand! ;)
